Apple always brings me back even though I look at other mp3 players. They are incredibly easy to use, I use this Nano almost daily while walking and going to the gym. I haven't charged it since it was bought in February, so the battery life is great. I don't use the headphones that come with them they are uncomfortable for my ears. Also the other downfall I have for them is that they are easily lost, I have lost 2 in the past year... Must be my bad luck lol. I do miss the clip feature on the Gen 6 Nano was definitely handy at the gym, but you can easily find a clip for it.

Nice pocket sized way to hold podcasts and music

Much better choice for podcasts than the shuffle. Yes, I'm old school and still like to download the podcasts so I don't waste a data plan while running. This allows me to select what I choose to listen to and in chronological order the archived podcasts. Its also big enough to hold my music library so I can listen at work all day without eating up my phone battery. I love its size, but wish it had a clip like the previous nano version.

I bought this to replace my old click-wheel iPod that had decreasing battery life. This nano has half the storage, but is much smaller in size. The 16 GB is more than I need because I haven't loaded all of my photos. This does hold all 2,780 songs and 1,800 photos with 2 GB left. The touch screen has great clarity and is responsive. The addition of FM radio is also nice. The reason I deducted one star is due to Apple removing the dock connector port. This has Bluetooth, but older devices (treadmills, clocks) won't be compatible. The cord is also now Lightning instead of the older, wider connector. That requires me to keep an additional cord laying around for my older nano that I also use.

This is the best player that I have used. I am listening to it most of the time and the sound quality is great. The style is very smooth for the use of the unit. The controls and menus are easy to use. The size of the ipod is very good. The capacity of songs held for the size gives me a lot of hours of music to listen too. I will be purchasing this style again when I require another or a spare unit for future use. I would reccomend this unit very much.

I bought this iPod so I could leave my other one in my vehicle (5th generation) and have this one (7th gen) for walking and in the gym. Because it's Bluetooth, I can now workout using my new wireless Beats Powerbeats 2 (exceptional sound quality I have to add) without snagging a wire or having to change where I rout it. I was also surprised at how small it was compared to me other iPod Nano, so a big plus all the way around.

The touch screen navigation is much better than the click-wheel of previous generation iPods. It is much easier to find/select a single song in your A-Z list than ever before. I also really like the radio function for when I want a break from my own music. The battery life is good, but I've noticed that listening to radio uses power faster than playing music. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this iPod. You won't need to go for an iPod Touch if 16 GB is enough space for your music, as it was for me with this Nano.

This IPOD is very user friendly. It is nice because there are not a lot of of choices and apps to scroll through. I bought it to use only for music and it has been perfect. Think of a teenager driving and trying to find music on their ipod and flipping through all the apps and menus to get there, this one puts it right on the main screen where it is easy to get to. It is compact and light. I actually bought two. I gave one to my mother who has never owned an IPOD or smartphone and she was able to pick it up right away and loves it.

The 7th Gen Nano is another solid, quality piece of hardware. The sound quality is fine, and the touch screen is intuitive enough. I wish Apple would let Microsoft rewrite iTunes, but that's a story for another day. My only 2 complaints are: 1) I don't like having to double-click the volume rocker button to skip to the next song. It's especially awkward through an arm band. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but after about 5 wearings covering about 12 hours I'm still wishing it was different. 2) I wish Apple had worked harder with other hardware vendors to come up with a universal power/data cable instead of creating yet another proprietary connector.

I really like this device. I am normally an avid directions reader, but I was able to use use the nano right out of the box in a matter of minutes without consulting the directions. The songs were a breeze to sync to the device, and I had several hundred hundred songs on my Ipod nano in a matter of minutes. I listened to it for ten straight hours while traveling in the car, so I am impressed with the battery life. The pictures of the album artwork are vivid and easy to see on the screen. I especially like the blue color and the compact size and weight. So far, I am very happy with my purchase. Time will tell how durable this nano is.

This player has a phenomenal battery life compared to my last Nano, and the player is just more responsive, plus it holds more songs. So glad I upgraded it, after my last Nano had its power button break. The Nano is light weight and it did not get in the way during workouts. Besides that, it works like it should. No complaints.

I've had a number of iphones and the last iPod I bought was an iPod photo. I was in a pinch and heading out for vacation so made the quick decision to grab the nano so I'd have music to listen to on a cruise. I bought it because of the battery life. It's great and amazing that something this small runs for so long, has great sound and holds as much as it does. It has a nice bright screen and the lightning charger charges quickly. It also offers some other features/apps even though it doesn't fully run apps from the app store.

Replaced a 2nd-generation iPod Nano. Has twice the storage and a MUCH better screen. Battery life is improved, although I'm comparing to a 7-year-old item. Can play video files as well as audio. I'm not a big fan of iTunes and I really wish that it wasn't required to use the device. Also, I REALLY wish Apple could just use a micro USB cable like the rest of civilization. Would be nice to be able to swap cables among many mobile devices (that aren't Apple). Audio quality is adequate with supplied earbuds considering the price and the intended use. I find myself missing the control wheel but I may just need to ween myself.

I bought this over Christmas time so I've had it for less than a month and haven't had any problems with the ipod. This one is replacing an ipod classic that died. We like the small size and light weight. This one is 16gb and holds plenty of music for us. No word on battery life. Its been connected to the Sound Dock which keeps it charged, and in the car its on the charger as well. I dont miss the larger screen that the classic had. Our main use is listening to music. The radio feature comes in handy too.

I purchased this iPod for the purpose of listening to podcasts and music while running. It's small and light, perfect for running, provides all the functionality I need along with very good sound quality. The radio function has worked quite well, also. I generally use a GPS watch to track my runs, but find the walk-run functionality on this iPod interesting--possibly useful as a back-up system. Noteworthy, though not immediately useful, that I can sync photos and videos to this device if I like,

I had an iPod classic but switched to the nano because I needed an iPod that was bluetooth capable and more portable. This iPod is so small and lightweight, it's perfect for a person on the move. The only thing that concerns me is that it's so small I'm worried that I will lose it. Other than that it's a great device. The bluetooth function works great, controls are easy and very easy to sync.

    Best iPod for the Money

Overall, this is probably the best iPod you can buy for the money ( approx. $140 ). If you don 't feel like spending over $200 for an iPod touch then this is the next best thing. This new nano is larger than the previous nano, has a touch screen and comes with available apps like iTunes Radio and you have the ability to download pictures and play videos from iTunes. Having iTunes Radio on this device is just like having Satellite Radio...It's Awesome!! My only issue with this device is that it has no wifi capability and no ability to add new apps. But for the price, it's still a great deal!!..

I bought this for my developmentally delayed niece. She figured out how to use it without any problem. It integrates well with iTunes to make music downloads really easy. It can charge by AC or USB port. It is small and compact, and reasonably priced. While it can be used for videos, the screen is too small for that purpose.

This is my third iPod and I like it the best. The touch screen is fast reacting and has all the features you need. I use it primarily when working out. It is small enough not to be in the way but big enough to handle with sweaty hands. Paired with the right arm band it is a great mix. I really like the FM radio feature for when I want to hear something different than my normal iTunes songs or a local station for news. You can't go wrong with this device if you are an iTunes user.

I purchased this iPod to replace a damaged cell phone that was under repair. After my music transfer I was able to listen to music again while doing my job. The sound quality was amazing and the size was perfect so I no longer will use my phone for music and the sixteen gigs is more than enough to download for my future needs.
