My previous ipod was the 3rd generation, which I enjoyed using for many years. However, I decided to upgrade to this 7th generation for the 16GB capacity, the radio, and bluetooth. Now I can keep hundreds of unlistened podcasts and dozens of songs on my ipod and my fancy new car stereo will connect through bluetooth everytime I start up the engine. The radio feature is nice to have at the gym, where every TV has it's own FM frequency for the audio feed. I also like that I can use the same charger as my iphone 5. The touch screen is good to have. I did miss the scroll wheel at first, but now I much prefer the touch screen. I wish I could read the full title of podcasts/episodes and I really wish the ipod could update via bluetooth rather than having to plug into my computer. A great feature for the next generation would be wifi - especially the ability to update wirelessly and connect to wireless speakers, like Sonos.

For some this might be what you need. I'm sure the same Apple quality is in that "way too" slim design. But guys, do a pen-pod with a clip if you want to get innovative! USB connecter requires adapters in dock stations. My first Nano came with one. One positive, the pedometer was a nice addition! Returned to the store. Will just use my phone for back up needs and save my money.

I really wanted this product. But I returned it the day after I bought it after hours of wrestling with iTunes (latest update) to do the simplest things. I would love to see something like this that could be loaded and unloaded like a flash drive, without the need for any propriterary software. Such a product may exist; they are called Flash Recorders. They seem to be a bit bulkier than an MP3 player, but they are not encumbered by an over-designed support system.

Bought it before a road trip, took it home, tried to load my music onto it. The computer sensed it well enough to turn on iTunes, but wouldn't detect it in order to place any data on it. After multiple tries, I took it back and upgraded to an iPod Touch. Best Buy crew were very responsive, it had only been 2 days and I had my receipt, got me upgraded with no hassle.

Great product but latley feel Apples quality control is not very up to par with past products.For the price point expect a more resilient product.

No where does apple state that this model doesn't support TV out. I've had previous apple products and this is unsatisfactory for me.

hopefully just a bad one - returning asp. have attempted to use several different headphones ... still no sound.

Good for downloading songs only dose not have wifi wich makes it useless.i think I pod 4th is much bdtter

Even took it back to the store for help - they couldnt help us. Hsd to finally find friends that knew how to use it. Also the ear buds that came with it dont work right - better sound with other headphones. This was a gift for my daughter who is 14 and autistic. She just wants to listen to her favprite songs and it took us a month to get music on it for her to liaten to.

Entire screen turned blue after 5 uses. Store will not exchange it unless I got the extended warranty (which I did not) I am out $150.00

Not worth the money. Get yourself a no-name MP3 for a fifth of the cost.

The 6th generation was so much better! I use mine for running and to be able to wear it like a watch was an awesome feature! Also loved the external speaker, that the 7th doesn't have!

I bought the Nano after having to constantly delete songs from my old 1GB Vuescape to make room for others. The 16GB Nano has plenty of room for what I need, and the compact design goes anywhere. The only negative for me is that it has features I won't use, which adds to the price. I suppose I'm in the minority here, but I just listen to my music with the Nano. Otherwise, a great unit!

I purchased this iPod nano to free up room on my iPhone and to take to the gym when I workout. I'm glad I did. I was able to add all of my songs, and I have plenty of room for more! The radio feature is nice, and the sound quality is great. I'm never disappointed with Apple!

I was very disappointed that it had no cool features for the price. My daughter was looking forward to a cool new product and it didn't do anything. No games, no camera, nothing. It also did not work with our iMac.

This iPod is awesome! It is basically a mini iPod touch, except without IOS. They sound is great, navigation on the touchscreen is good, evern watching movies on here is not to bad, and it has bluetooth! My complaints are, I wish it used IOS apps, had wireless abilities (such as being able to download from iCloud, and I wish had a speaker instead of just listening from the headphones. But that is just me asking for too much I suppose. All in all I am very pleased with this iPod! Apple just keeps making great quality products! I definitely recommend anyone who wants a small iPod to get this. You will not regret it!

Very limited options. No camera, no apps, no external speaker, no wireless. But, this is meant for workouts, running, biking or for someone that already has all the goodies, like iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad. There is one thing that is better than all the rest...It has a great internal amplifier. It also has Bluetooth and a FM radio. With 16 gigabytes, it's the perfect exercise iPod.

I use my ipod in environments where I break a lot of things. Mine has worked flawlessly in the year I have owned it, even after being dropped over 20 ft onto concrete one time. Besides the environemnts I use it in it is not unusual for it to run 10 to 12 hours a day. I just wish I could get some earbuds that would last more than a few months. The Ipod itself works and sounds great, has very good battery life and is easy to use. The only drawback is I wish I had more storage room in it. I cant keep all of my music, podcasts and other things I enjoy at the same time so I am always reloading it to match what I am doing next.
