I purchased this to connect my iPhone 6S to an Audi MMI system. The main issue is design-related: you cannot connect the adapter to an iPhone that is in a case. The adapter is designed to sit flush against the base of an i-device, so there is no extra length on the Lightning plug to accommodate a case. While this sort of makes sense, what also should have made sense to the designer is that most of us carry our devices in cases. In terms of MMI connectivity, the connection works but not flawlessly. In all reality this probably has more to do with the MMI than the iPhone. But, occasionally the iPhone we have to be replugged once or twice for the device to register with the MMI system. Occasionally the audio will come with a very shrill tone on top of it. Replugging fixes this.

Similar products simply do not work. This product does not seem to wear out and is easy to use.

This adapter is perfect! I bought it for my car's iPod connector when I switched phones to the 6!

I like to watch music videos while running on a treadmill. I used the A/V Composite cable to hook-up my iPod touch Gen. 4 to the TV in my workout room. When my touch failed, I bought this to bring my iPhone to a 30-pin plug. No go! This piece is not suppored for use with my devices, iPhones too.

Although it's a little pricey it saves old radios from obsolescence
