The adapter works, but after the first time I used it, the IHome alarm app wouldn't work. It doesn't seem to connect properly . It's charges my IPad , but I just can't get the alarm to connect right anymore. Very disappointed in that. That was the reason I bought it.

Works well and does want it needs to good for those that have old and new iPhones.

I have tried other adaptors and most can only charge. This unit supports synch, music, and charge. However, it is very expensive, so if you only want charge purchase a third party adaptor that can be found for less than $5. But for a full functioning adaptor this Apple adaptor does it. However, the design lacks any support for the iPhone/iPod and when plugged in it would seem easy to hit the phone accidently and break the lightning connector off the top of the adaptor. It would seem that a sliding iPhone clamp integrated into the adaptor's design would provide support and reduce chances of connector breakage. So use care around this adaptor or select an Apple adaptor with a cord between the 30-pin and the lightning connectors..

Works well. Just wish more cases allowed for easy use.
