The adapter does what it's supposed to. However, I do wish there was a cord between each end so the two devices didn't have to be back to back.

I can still use my old ihome but the adaptor won't work unless I take my iPhone 6 out of its case. Didn't have this problem with my iPhone 4.

The Lightning USB adapter for my iphone was not compatible with the USB in my car and I needed an adapter for the cable that was supplied. There was only one option, lightning to 30pin, though I wish there was one with a small cord before the lightning adapter portion because this one does not work with most cases. Anytime I want to use it I need to remove my phone from the case which more often than not leads to me not plugging in my phone.

Now I can listen to music from my new ipod in my old truck. The sound is great. The only drawback is the fact that it wont charge my ipod.

It's a bit nuisance-y. It fits in the old Bose dock, which is the reason I bought it.. so I could play my newer ipod on my old dock. However, it didn't always play.. :( Ended up returning it and buying a JBL Charge3 bluetooth speaker instead, so I could listen to my newer ipod in bed at night. :) No, it's def not the same as the Bose dock, but I refuse to spend that kind of money on a speaker again. :(

I got this for my iPhone 6, primarily to use as an adapter for my car. (I had an iPhone 4S.) It's great for keeping my phone charged. But it's also a must have if you still have older docking stations (i.e. like boom boxes). I have 2 older boom boxes, that produce great sound! I didn't want to go out and buy any new ones, so this adapter allows me to play music from my iPhone 6 on these devices! However, if you bought a case for your iPhone 6, the adapter won't fit. You'll have to get one that has an extension.

It will charge my phone but will not play music through my ihome dock with the adapter. I guess I was expecting to much for the price.

I have an old Sony Dreamworks alarm clock/radio/CD player/iPhone dock that I love, but, when I upgraded from an iPhone 4S to the 6S recently, I needed an adapter in order for it to be able to work with my new phone. This adapter works, but, because its base is so wide, the flash plug doesn't fit deep enough into the phone when my phone's case is on. Otherwise, it's okay. Also, it's ridiculously expensive for an adapter.

Just make sure it charges with your case. The rest of these characters are stupid Best Buy

the lightening plug is not long enough to fit my iphone 6+ with the Otter case on. So an extension plug is needed to really work.

Works well as long as you do not have a case on your device. It will not "seat" with case on. Not the most intelligent design.

I can now play music in my truck. It does not charge the phone. Only downfall is the price, apple is very proud of it i guess

This cannot be used when the phone case is on the phone, otherwise, works okay. I would recommend as a quick fix.

I needed an adapter for the clock radio alarm charger dock I have been using with my IPhone 4. This adapter has enabled the safe use of the charger. I was concerned with the possibility of an adapter over heating, so chose the Apple Lightning to 30 pin product. It has worked perfectly and problem free. I have been totally satisfied with it's performance and would totally recommend this product.

My husband got a brand new 2016 VW and it came with a cord to charge an iphone, the only problem was it was for like the first Iphone. The dealer told us to go to best buy and they would have what we needed so he could charge his phone, it was $30 but it works great as long as your case has a wide enough opening. I had to take my otter box off to use it but my husband does not have to take his case off.

By having this attachment, ones old Apple 30-pin adaptors don't become obsolete. Depending on the type of case you have, you will likely have to remove your device (iPhone or iPad) from it. The adaptor will not fully connect if the device is still inside the case. That's the only reason I gave it 4-stars. It's a rather nit-picky point. But there are people who prefer to leave their device in the case.

It's simple. I have Apple, Apple likes to change things up every few years. Makes all the extras I bought to use with the apple don't work because of their new plug in. Soooo now I get to buy more Apple parts. FuN. I did buy a knock off on line, didn't go so well. Seems that my devices sometimes cant / don't work right unless it's an.......Apple made product. Wonder how it knows. ??!! But it's a quick fix for items that you want to keep but need this adapter.

This adapter is exactly what I needed for my iPod Nano to play on my Bose sound system. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't charge my Nano while I'm listening to music. I guess if you plug an adapter into an "old" connector, it won't charge. Doesn't really bother me - I've ended up with a boatload of connectors over the years and can charge my Nano easily.

It works no worries because it's made by Apple. As always with Apple adds it's too expensive for what it does
