This product allows me and my daughter to listen to our late model iPhones in our older cars. The adapter that allows for iPhone integration on our 2008 vehicles won't work on iPhone series six or newer and this adapter makes it possible to maintain that functionality in the car.

i have a home theater system with an ipod dock for the older ipods when i got a new ipod touch i needed this to put on the ipod dock so i could connect the new ipod to it. It works great. I have to take my case off because the connector length is short and wont click in with it on other than that no complaints

Can be used with old cords laying around the house

I bought for use on a dock that was for an older model Nano which use the older connection. Had to replace the Nano with an iPod touch which has the lightning connector. This adapter allowed me to continue to use the old dock with no problems.

I am not sure what is the purpose of this connector. I had several other connectors for my 30pin iPad and I wanted to continue using them. Small Print says "No video compatible" . I couldn't use it. Better off buying the correct lightning connector.

I bought this device because the car I drive only had a 30 pin connector. I put this on top of this and easily connected my iphone 6 to my car without using bluetooth. Does what you need it to do. Pleased with the item. Pricey but necessary.

Nice little piece to have around, but because it says Apple it comes with a minimum price tag. Also, find a safe place to put it because it can and very easily get knocked around and be gone forever.

This adapter works and fits great. I use it on my dock as well as my usb cable when needed. Not sure what the difference is that causes non-apple products to display error code, but would be much more satisfied with a lower retail price so I didn't need to constantly move this around to where i'll need it.

So we initially tried one of those off brand ones off of amazon but none of those worked properly. You could not get music to play off of those adapters. The only adapter that worked was the apple brand. It might be a little more than those off brand but at least it works.

This is a cool must have unit if you went to a newer iPhone with the newer conector. The only thing I disliked is the if you use a phone case this adapter is not long enough to plug in. You will have to remove your phone case.

It works as described. I took a star away because i have to take my case off to use it because the area in the case is constructed to fit the lightning cable; not the adapter. That should've been taking into consideration when the adapter was designed.

It does exactly what it is supposed to, odds are though if you need to buy this you should just update your other technology that needs this. Chances are it won't support the new version, but good to get by as a temp.

Although this does the job I wish I had purchased the one with the short cord for my application. I have one of each now and think the adapter with the short cord to the lightening connection is more adaptable to different situations

lightning cables last 6 months (at best), when yours gives out, buy this instead. 30 pin cables are much more durable and this adapter is solid... I did have to file out a little bit of my son's defender case to get this to work, but it's worth not having to constantly replace lightning cables.

I owned a Home radio with the old 30 pin adapter and I also own iPod touch and iPhone that require the lighting pin so it serve my purpose 2 ways and allows me to either play my music on my Home radio or charge either of my devices. Very satisfied!

Well, I made a mistake initially by purchasing an inferior knock-off. Suffice it to say, I was disappointed. I ride a motorcycle so vibration is always an issue. It's important to have a functioning set of hook ups. With that in mind, name brand is a must!!!

Wish this had a longer cord. Needed at adapter to change out old iPhone charger to a new iPhone connection but still had to keep The old connection in my car. This piece does exactly what piece is intended for.

I purchased this adaptor to use my old iPod speaker box with my iPhone 6. I was hesitant about using the adaptor thinking it could not support the iPhone. Surprisingly the adaptor held the iPhone well. The sound was good and I'm happy to be able to use my older speaker box.

Although frustrating that I had to buy the device to be able to play my music from my newer 5c phone on the docking speakers that I have had for a number of years, the product works exactly as it is intended to. No complaints about this product.

For some reason my Aston Martin snd Range Rover through 2014 still think apple used a 30 pin. This was the only way to doc my phone and it did just that. Allows full integration to car controls and steering wheel input / display on the say nav
