I replaced my Ipad 2 and wanted to use my iHome charging speaker dock which was originally $110. For the price of this gadget I am able to use the speaker dock which became obsolete with the iPad upgrade and new plug design.

Purchased to adapt new iPhone to older speaker dock. However, speaker dock would not keep the iPhone charged so inconvenient to use. Returned the item. Not a problem with this Adapter.

Own nothing but German cars that came only with adapters for iPhone 4's and older. This thing has saved my sanity. Now I can listen to music and charge my phone without having to use the streaming audio or plugging it into a lighter adapter.

This adapter is great! It allows me to use newer lightning technology on my old sound dock. Saves me from having to buy a new, compatible dock for my new iPod before I'm ready. It converts the old 30 pin dock to lightning.

Works with older device to connect to audio source, but won’t charge as advertised. Also need to remove cover to plug in completely

Works perfectly for adapting old iphone wires to the new ones. The only problem is that it doesn't fit well with a lot of iphone cases, so to be able to use it I have to pull off my case each time.

I used this to connect my iPhone 7 to my 2014 BMW using the provided old 30 pin connector. It worked great and had no issues. I could use car controls to control my music on my phone. I could take calls and everything.

I bought this adapter so I can plug my newer iphone into my car (has a built in iphone cable using the older style 30 pin). Works as intended. The adapter is fairly pricey at $30 for what it does.

My Bose has been brought back to life with this adapter! Now I can listen to my old IPod or my new IPhone with a quick pop in of the adapter - I thought I’d have to toss the $300 sound system away...

This is exactly what we needed for my wifes ipod. We have the old adapter for my wifes bose, so we needed the lightining to be able to use it. Glad there is such a thing as this. makes things alot easier. Wish it was less money though.

Older cameras with high mega pixels still take awesome photos, but many have old school outputs to download the shots. I use this adapter to move photos from a great 2010 Sony camera to my 2016 IPad. A must have accessory.

I love this little tool. For the person that is not always smart phone smart, and for those of us who still like to use a camera, this is a cool adapter. Old school, I know, but that is OK too.

Needed to be able to plug my iphone into the speaker we had. This worked great. The only downfall is that I have to take the phone cover off to plug it in. No biggy!

Fits perfectly on my wife's ihome station..all functions and controls work...Please do not buy the generic ones...Get the authentic Apple brand...May cost a little bit more than a generic brand but will save you a lot of headaches!!

Needed this to make my older iHome compatible with the iphone 5 and it seems to work well. I think it was over priced for what it is used for. Cost was $20, Really should be about $10 if that.

I use it in my car only (2012 model pre-dates this type of mini-USB). I actually have it daisy-chained to a cord extender that is plugged into the car's iPod/iPhone charger. The whole thing works without any issue.

I have an old iHome clock radio that I purchased for my iPhone 4s. I purchased this adapter to convert the iHome Dock to fit my iPhone 5s. Easy to use, just place adapter over original 30 pin slot and dock new device.

Adapter works on my Harley Davidson cause iPod cord from the radio to the saddle bag is only for Fourth generation iPod adapter makes 5S and above iPhones and iPods work instead of replacing the whole cord

This product won't work for me. The lightening end isn't long enough to work around my case that my iPad mini is in. So I don't recommend this if you are using an larger protecting case.

I bought this to use on my older Ipad/I pod stereos & chargers. Did exactly that. Was able to use new Apple iPad on radios & stereos. Didn't need to throw them out & get new players, just needed this adapter.
