I needed to run some tests on a product that my company sells using a Mac. I chose the MacBook Air because it was on sale for $749 and it had regular USB ports. My out of box experience with the MacBook Air was the best I have ever had with a computer. Plug it in, turn it on, follow the prompts. Easy! I carry an iPhone for work so I already had Apple accounts, but if you are new to Apple they are easy to set up. The Mac OS is surprisingly simple to pick up. I have a lot of Windows experience and a little Linux experience. I thought the lack of a touch screen was going to be a problem, but I like the well thought out Multi-Touch trackpad. It makes a touch screen unnecessary in my opinion. The Keypad is very good. The 13 inch display is good enough. I think If I was using this full time on the job I would probably opt for the Pro model. The battery life seems to be excellent. This is an area where the Microsoft Surface 3 is a little disappointing. In the few side by side test, it appears that the Mac OS is a little more efficient than Windows 10. It is slower than my 2.8 GHz i7 Windows laptop but much faster than my Surface 3. The size and battery life would seem to make it very good to take on a plane. It is slim enough to sit in the seatback pocket to make room for food and drink. I plugged in a USB DVD drive and was very impressed by the quality of the DVD video using the built in program. I have always looked at Apple in the past and decided it wasn't a good value. But I think at this price point the MacBook Air has a lot to offer

Apple cost more than other laptops, but is worth it. The quality lasts and it does not suffer the issues that non-apple computers do, like viruses.I do email, internet, and basic work on my laptop and this computer is more than ample. I wish I had understood what making this computer like my old Apple was like (downloading from the cloud), I would not have copied over as much. A little technical advice would help. This is just like my MacBook Air and I am pleased with it. I got it on sale and it is worth the cost.

Great computer for my college bound student. Good durability. clear monitor, easy to use keyboard. Great value for the price!

I love my new MacBook Air. I am converting all of my technology over to Apple products. I am still learning how to navigate through IOS system but I am excited about the speed and ease of use for setup and daily use. Also I got a really great deal on this laptop.

Macs are an amazing product. Linux is better. The only reason to buy a Windows laptop is to install Linux in its place. Unix, and Unix-like, are superior to whatever dos/dotNet kernel Microsoft Windows has going on

Works as expected. For my kid to use for homework but O know that with a great computer like this is wont only be homework

My first Mac, so I'm still learning after switching from a long history of using Dell. I could not be more pleased with this purchase.

my Mac is awesome, I love apple! id suggest this product to anyone looking for an easy great detailed laptop. ! they would not be disappointed. although the newet MacBook I was interested in I still stuck with this one!! I do not regret it I love my Mac.!!!

When comparing laptops under $1K, I think this is the best choice. Bought it for my son to use at college. He likes it a lot.

Like all Apple products, they perform fairly well, but well overpriced. We all just make Apple richer.

I got it from my son for his freshman year in college. So far he seems to love it and has not complained about it yet :-)

Finally got tired of Windows based laptops and switched to a Mac. Never any issues. What else can you say, it’s an Apple

I purchased this for my granddaughter for her 8th grade graduation/birthday/Christmas. She absolutely loves it. My daughter has used it also and now wants one for herself. You cannot go wrong with Apple! It is the best.

This is an extremely lightweight super basic but functional laptop. It's an older model processor, has an older look to it, and lacks the display quality of most other modern laptops. Because of this, you'll save some money. But in all honesty, for what it lacks and compared to other products, this laptop is overpriced. You pay for the Apple brand and Apple ecosystem mostly. If you're set on an Apple laptop this is still a good product, it's just overpriced compared to most other laptops.

I don't know enough about computers to give it a proper review, but it's easy to use. The battery life is great.

Who gets a Macbook Air for under$1,000? I did thanks to Best Buy! What an awesome deal for a great computer. I came to the store ready to buy a base model PC and came out with a luxury model. Thank you for letting someone with a small budget purchase a big budget item!

Great experience, great price. As long as I get great service and fair prices I support brick and mortar and BestBuy. Could have bought elsewhere or online. I like the way I am treated here and made a conscious decision buy in store.

This is one of the best laptops that i have ever purchase. The auto update system that is provide upon purchase of the laptop is a feature that is convenient while allowing your device to run smooth without delays in any of the processing components.

i love this product. it’s always been there for me. it’s a more inexpensive version of the new macbook pro, but worth it.
