Was initially hesitant, this was a much more expensive alternative to other laptops, though I now understand why. The MacBook is super fast, very stable, and much better than any of my prior laptops. While there is a small learning curve, given the operating system being different then typical , non-Mac laptops, it is well worth it. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to dump the cheap laptops that are sluggish, more prone to viruses and malware , and not as stable.

I’ve had several Apple laptops over the years as well as an apple desktop computer. For a great computing experience that pairs with your other Apple devices very nicely, the MacBook Air is an excellent choice. Speed is pretty good for the specs and the touch ID fingerprint sensor is really awesome. The screen is excellent, though the keyboard takes some getting used to.

This is a great laptop for those who are always on the go and need something durable and able to handle day-to-day tasks. This means schoolwork, browsing with multiple tabs, photo editing, editing videos in 1080p, ect. For me, I use it for schoolwork and it handles everything I throw at it well, but this is not to make up for it having a Y-Series Chip. It's 2019, and dual-core processors should not be in $1000 machines marketed as ultra-books. The build quality is beautiful, aesthetics aside, the shallow keyboard can be a pain to get used to. It's a satisfying keyboard, the clicks feel great and the backlighting is fluid, but it does take about a week to get acclimated to it. Touchpad is one of the biggest highlights, its massive and accurate, ForceTouch is a bonus too. Screen is great, it is a bit dim but that should not affect your buying decision. TouchID is nice, but if you have an Apple Watch you'll barely ever use it. Speakers are great, much better than my 2015 MBP, and way better than the older MBA. If you're in the Apple ecosystem and need to buy something on a budget, this is the laptop to choose, but keep your options open and perhaps wait for this to be discounted.

The MacBook Air w/ Retina Display is an incredible laptop for the money. I replaced my former MacBook Air (w/o Retina Display) which I loved throughout Undergraduate and Graduate School, and have been thoroughly pleased with this new one. The Retina Display brings everything to life. I can't wait to see what upgrades Apple will include in my next laptop.

so I have always wanted a laptop and I went with this one. I am brand new to the apple line after being a android user for years. I got my iPhone loved it so much I switch everything over to apple. I researched everything about laptops, from the best to medium range laptops and talked to the best buy rep about everything and anything about the air and the pro and explained the differences and asked what I would be using it for. He took his time and never once made me feel rushed into buying one, or that I was bothering him with all my questions, so. we both agreed on this one. And well, perfectly honest, its everything I could ask for. everything is smooth and well thought out. its fast and easy to use, although I'm still learning how to use it and what it can do, so far it is well worth the investment. I have to remember its a laptop not a phone where I download apps too.. in all you'll be happy with it..

This was my first mac purchase ever. This computer is one the best purchases I've ever made! Great for college students like myself, very light, typing is very low in volume, keyboard is perfect, lit backlight on the keyboard is great for studying at night. Touch ID is useful for quick signing in. This is just simply the best computer I have ever owned. I'd definitely buy again.

We really like the computer and the ease in transition from another brand. The speed is much faster than our older computer and the sound is great! Color is more vivid also! The printer is great for our needs. Fits our space and functions well from the computer and iPad. We are completely satisfied with both products. We also are impressed with the expertise of the ‘Geek Squad’!

Love my new MacBook Air. It is faster than my previous version, smaller in overall size but still the same size screen. Retina display is clear and crisp. Love the Touch ID for faster unlocking and passwords. New keyboard takes a little adjustment but overall it's smooth. What can I say, It's a Mac and it does everything I need it to do with ease, security and with no glitches or hiccups.

I upgraded my MacBook Air 2015 version to this one and I was a little hesitant at first considering the ports on the side are different and the keyboard is a little different too. However, after having this computer for a couple of months now I could not imagine not switching. It is so much faster and I love how light it is. Everything works really well and the touch id is a great touch.

A dream for a former Windows user!

It’s a Mac, of course it’s fabulous! I’m a recent convert to Apple, having bought a MacBook last year and absolutely love everything about it. If you have suffered through Windows as long as I have, I simply go back to the time-honored phrase of why people buy Apple: it just works. The legendary build quality, beauty, and stunning form and function are just icing on the cake. This MacBook Air is for my wife, a teacher, who just needs a reliable general-purpose machine, so we opted for the 8 GB/128 GB hard drive configuration. The solid-state drive is a dream—it boots instantly—and unlike most Windows machines, we don’t need to restart all the time. This newest version of the MacBook Air has amazing screen resolution, although I’m sure that comes at a cost to the battery life. I haven’t tested the battery much so I can’t comment on its life, but if the specs are accurate, it is more than we need. Some people don’t like the reduced travel action of the keypad but I love it, especially if it helps to keep the dimensions small. The MacBook Air appeals to my minimalist approach to computers so I have no problem with having only two accessory ports. For fans of Apple, I’m merely preaching to the choir; for Windows users considering a change, you’ll never regret buying a Mac.

Replaced my previous MacBook Air that died from some electrical burnout at 5 years old with the new MacBook Air w/retina. The screen is very nice, not sure I notice a huge difference. I do like the keyboard as it clicks when typing yet the keys are almost flush. The touch pad also works a bit differently, also has to click on rather than just tap. I do like the weight and size. Overall happy!

This was my first Mac and I absolutely love it! I use it a lot for school and crafts, mostly everyday. Battery life is very long lasting I can go about 2 days without charging. Very lightweight I typically carry it in my tote purse bag without any issues. The touch ID is very cool but does not always work for some reason and I have to enter in my password manually (not a big deal). The ONLY thing I did not like when receiving this was the screen has bubbles on it. At first I thought it was a screen protector on it but soon realized it was not. It does not effect the usage or screen I just see them when the screen is off. Overall great product.

I've never owned a Mac before, so there's a bit of a learning curve moving from Windows to Mac OS. The build quality is solid, and the lack of inputs doesn't bother me as much as I thought, especially if you use iCloud or other cloud storage. The keyboard takes some getting used to, but the Touch ID allows for a quick sign on process. I love how seamlessly Mac OS integrates with iOS, meaning I get messages as soon as they appear on my iPhone, and access webpages open on my iPhone or iPad. If you have an iDevice already, it makes sense to go with the MacBook, but I wish that Apple would allow for me to upgrade things such as RAM and storage without having to upgrade to a more expensive model.

I love the new feature of the Touch ID on this MacBook. The Retina display definitely is an upgrade from the older versions. I opened both laptops side by side to see the difference myself and could really notice a difference. Meets all the needs for me to use for personal use and for school. The speakers work great without headphones. Definitely recommend this make and model!

At 1,000 dollars or less, this computer has tons of value. It’s solidly crafted, beautifully designed, and snappy once you get used to its UI. Perfect for throwing in your bag, doing some studying, browsing the web or watching videos and movies. If you seek power, looks towards a pro or the larger windows laptops like the LG Gram. Otherwise this is a great pickup.
