Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the Apple MacBook Pro's ease of use, performance, lightweight design, and battery life, with many praising its size and aesthetics. However, customers are negative about the limited number of USB and other ports, as well as the small storage capacity. Some users also noted that the device can get warm during extended use. While a few found the touch bar unnecessary, the overall feedback highlights a strong preference for the laptop's portability and usability.

Terrible computer for a college student

I've the most problems with this worthless computer. It has a terrible time using Microsoft apps like Word, and Excel. It also has a terrible time connecting to the internet, and will crash all the time. It also doesn't have USB ports so you have to buy an attachment that's very expensive, and it isn't worth the cost. I would not buy this computer, the better option is the HP 2 in 1, and I will be selling this one to get that one.

Didn't work when I needed it the most

As a newly graduated high school senior I was very excited to purchase my first laptop with my own money. I thought a macbook pro would be a great choice, as they are "reliable" and look sleek. I purchased my macbook pro in July 2017. In early October 2017 the screen randomly stopped turning on. I took it to my school's on-campus Apple certified repair center, and they told me the backlight went out. They fixed it for me, free of charge as it was under warranty. It worked just fine until a few weeks ago, when during finals week I changed my laptop's protective case. It was a MOSISO plastic hard case. I removed the clasps on the top of the case, and immediately thin lines showed up on the left side and bottom of my laptop screen. The screen completely blacked out a few seconds later. After taking it to the apple store, the clinicians told me the LCD was damaged -- from removing a case. For a laptop that costs thousands of dollars, it should not be this weak. I have never put things on top of my laptop, and take extremely good care of it. Apple, from a fed- up college student that was convinced your products were the greatest on the market. I really wanted my Apple products to work, because they’re more appealing visually and socially. At the end of the day however, I just want to be able to call my mom. Parents, if you buy your students a MacBook Pro, be prepared to send them another backup computer when they need to do their work. My parents had to.

    Screen Glitches Expensive Fix

Very disappointed with this laptop and service received. As a working college student, I needed a reliable computer that would allow me to get everything done. I even spent more money because customer service insisted that it is the best and if anything happened to it would be taken care of. Well, not the case at all. I was swindled into getting the protection plan, that didn't last long at all and was a total scam. I am in my third year of college and don't need to be worrying about the screen malfunctioning. I have taken absolute perfect care of this laptop and have been told there is an internal crack, which is just a wild guess. Oh and by the way these computers screens are what they told me really sensitive and fragile. Not to mention extremely expensive to replace. If you plan on owning this laptop for a while and getting your money's worth, forget it. Best Buy won't be there for you. They expect you throw them $600 for the laptop to be sent away for weeks to be fixed. I should have never fallen for the gimmick.

    Just the worst

Totally horrible/inefficient to use. I’m a student pursuing film and I needed a laptop to edit on. The lack of portability when it comes to attachments (dongles) makes it a terrible product to take on the go, apple sacrifices an actual well thought out design in exchange for a slick/stylish look. Returning this as soon as possible. Get it together apple.

Keyboard is NOT for anyone who needs to type a lot

I bought, fully setup, and then returned a MacBook after discovering how dangerous the keyboard was to my hands and fingers. I love MacOS, Mac-Mini, iMac (but only with a 3rd party keyboard replacement) but cannot physically use any recent MacBook without endangering my health. (My 6 year old MacBook Air has a usable keyboard.)

Save your money because he took wonderful care of his computer and now Apple wants $475 to fix it. It didn't even last 2 years!
