Bad Keyboard Design
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the speed, resolution, and most features except the keyboard, trackpad, and having to buy attachments for every other device. Keyboard is loud when typing. If not careful when typing, windows minimize or close if you accidentally rest your palm on the trackpad.

Limited Options to Grow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the new machine with hope of being able to start with a configuration that I can start with. It turned out I am not able to upgrade memory or hard drive as these components are soldered.

the touch bar is not that convenient
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My choice was between a MacBook pro with the touch bar, 8 gigs of ram and the same item without the touch bar with 16 gigs of ram. I would rather have double the speed on my computer than the touch bar.

Disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this computer for less than two months. After using it for approximately 2weeks it wasn't working properly. Kept getting a pop up telling me that the computer had a virus and I needed to buy a program they were selling. Since the computer was so. new, I reset the computer back to factory settings. Today it started again with the horn alerting me that I had a virus. Wrote to Best Buy but no response. Either Apple is responsible for this glitch or Best Buy should retrain the sales associates for giving bad information.

Delivered already active and locked up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased an open box defined as in excellent condition. Physical condition was excellent. However, laptop was never recovered to original condition prior to delivery. It was locked up (password protected) under the prior owner. Could not resolve with Geek Squad over the phone. Had to return to store and told it would take hours to correct. Decided to return. Very disappointing experience with Open-Box experience.

If would love to give this ZERO!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have worked electronics/electrical my whole life. Retired IBM Chief engineer AS400 mainframes. I’ve had PC’s since the old 286 series. Even a couple of “trash 80’s” from that “Radio” place. NEVER have I seen such garbage (and I’m pretty tolerant/lenient with computers/electronics. GARBAGE, GARBAGE, GARBAGE!!! Apple should hang their heads in shame with this crap. God awful machine. I could write so much BAD about this instead I’ll just say that I really Like the “clean slim appearance”. NOTICE I DID NOT WRITE this out on the MacBook. I don’t have time to go thru all of the rebooting bugs etc.. to get it back up to a screen image. I have NOTHING on this machine (512gb) EMPTY!!! And don’t bother with going “online” with it. CRAP GARBAGE!!! I missed RETURN of this one by ONE DAY. I did give it the “benefit of the doubt”.. I can fix ANYTHING... well EXCEPT maybe a MacBook Pro! DO NOT BUY !!! Very Unhappy buyer. BB should pull all of these off their shelves.

Blew up shortly after purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was working great, but the entire motherboard blew out 3 months into using it. Apple would only repair it, not replace it. So had to send it for repair which took 3 weeks. Apple also wouldn’t provide a loaner, So my freshman in college son was 3 weeks without a laptop after spending $2000 on this. Unacceptable!! Best Buy in my town said they would have replaced it for us, but my son was 4 hours away at college and had already given it to the Apple rep.

MacBook keeps improving
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're like me and find ease of use with MacBooks and you're curious about upgrading to a model with more gee-whiz features such as the touch bar, more memory, and a display that somehow just keeps getting better, this might just be the MacBook Pro for you. If in doubt about upgrading, please let me assure you this is a MacBook that'll delight you in unexpected ways that'll keep a smile on your face for years to come. !: The sound and display Apple somehow manages to upgrade will blow you away. Upon comparison this notebook is actually smaller than the MacBook Air yet a whole lot more capable. Forget those days when you needed a separate bluetooth speaker when desiring fuller and louder sound. It's a thing of the past. This is a notebook that actually has more volume than you'll ever need and its display is simply eye-boggling thanks to considerable upgrades in screen brightness. 2: The 3.1 I-5 processor is a solid performer that'll rarely have you wanting for more unless you're a serious power user. The available 512 GB of SSD is enough though I wish they had the 1 TB that's currently only available on the 15" MacBook Pro model. 3: At a scant 3 pounds, it's a notebook that's light enough for hauling around yet more than powerful enough even when on long business trips that reminds you just how hard you work for owning a notebook that'll keep you happy for years to come. 4: The Touch Bar is not a gimmick. While there's a bit of a learning curve, I'm surprised over how much I use it the more I bang on the keys. Meanwhile the butterfly keyboard is now in its 2nd generation of development and this one is a breeze to type on (unlike the 12" MacBook that takes some getting use too). I'm a super frugal guy who makes every dime work twice as hard, yet this machine even with its rather intimidating price is well worth the investment. For peace of mind, please don't forget to add Apple Care to your final purchase. Apple has customer service that simply can't be beat hence those little tech annoyances we can't figure out are a thing of the past. All careful shoppers know that real quality always costs more, but over the long haul you'll see your investment well worth the ticklish upfront cost. There's no buyers regret here and I don't if you'll be anything but contented just as I am even after buying a total of six MacBooks during the past decade. This is in its own unique way the MacBook we've always been waiting for.

Not as good as expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so excited about getting this pro. It crashes frequently. And it blurs a lot. Apple needs to fix this.

Great laptop for college
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought the MacBook Pro 13 inch touch bar my first laptop ever owned, it's mostly going to be used for college and by far it's amazing, really fast the only 2 things I would recommend getting for the MacBook is the mouse (very helpful) and USB HyperDrive.

Extremely slow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to return this macbook pro as it was extremely slow. I used to have mac book air which has worse configuration but better performance.

Great MacBook still from 2017 to 2022
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchase this MacBook back in 2017 and it’s still a great laptop to this day April 13th 2022. The only thing about this I would change would be the battery life. Even from the beginning but other than that it’s still perfect!

Too fragile
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this computer is cheaply made. I’ve only had it for less than a year and the LCD display broke. Apple care does not cover it.
