I recently upgraded to the new MacBook Pro with the M4 chip, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. With 24GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, this machine is built for serious performance, whether you’re editing high-resolution photos, rendering videos, or running multiple professional applications at once.
The M4 chip is incredibly fast and power-efficient, making everything feel seamless and snappy. The battery life is outstanding, easily lasting an entire workday without needing a charge. The Liquid Retina XDR display is breathtaking, with vibrant colors and deep blacks that make creative work a joy.
If you’re looking for a powerhouse laptop that combines performance, efficiency, and stunning design, the MacBook Pro M4 is a no-brainer. Highly recommended!

I absolutely love this MacBook. The M4 Pro chip is insanely fast — a noticeable jump even from the already impressive M1, M2, and M3 models. Everything runs smoother, apps launch instantly, and heavy workloads feel effortless.
If you’re wondering whether it’s worth upgrading from an earlier Apple Silicon chip: yes, 100%. The performance boost, battery efficiency, and overall responsiveness make a real difference in daily use.
And as always with a Mac — it just works. You can rely on it without thinking twice. This feels like the MacBook Apple’s been working toward, and they nailed it.

The MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro chip is easily the best purchase I have ever made. The performance is absolutely incredible, handling heavy workloads and multitasking without ever slowing down. Having 1TB of storage provides plenty of room for all my large files and projects while maintaining lightning-fast speeds. The display is stunningly bright and crisp, making everything from creative work to streaming look professional. I am also blown away by the battery life, which easily lasts through my longest workdays without needing a charge. If you are looking for the ultimate powerhouse laptop, this is definitely the one to get.

I’m extremely impressed with the Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch with the M4 Pro chip. The performance is incredibly fast and smooth, especially with 24GB of memory and a 1TB SSD. It handles multitasking effortlessly, and the Space Black finish looks sleek and professional. It’s a truly powerful and reliable machine.

This is my third MacBook Pro. My first was in 2015. Then I upgraded to a 2019 model. Both of those were the basic entry-level models with 8 GB RAM and 256 SSD. Let me tell you, upgrading to 24 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD is like moving from a Volkswagen to a Ferrari.
As usual, everything "just works" but it works so much smoother. I probably didn't need the M4 Pro chip but I wanted a model that is going to last me 7+ years rather than 3 - 5 you get out of the basic level MacBook Pros.
The space black is really cool looking. I use this with two monitors in my work from home office and there are no problems there. Nothing I've thrown at it so far makes it break a sweat - it stays cool as a cucumber. The battery life is also incredible. It will last for an entire day in power saver mode.
A big shout out to the Best Buy team in West Covina. I had originally purchased an open box version of the same model only to find out that you can't add Apple Care+ to an open box Mac. It's a whole long story involving serial numbers and previous Apple Care subscriptions.
Anyway - suffice it to say - the manager price matched the price that the computer was on sale for over the Christmas holiday and set me up with Best Buy Total subscription which offset the cost of the Apple Care + (you should ALWAYS get the Apple Care+). I don't know how she worked her magic but I walked out of the store with a BRAND NEW MacBook Plus for the same price as I was going to pay for the open box one.

If you’re working as a professional videographer or filmmaker and are looking for the best value for your dollar, this is the best choice in the M4 line up.
The 1TB drive, 24GB of memory and the full 16 core M4 Pro chip offer the best band for your buck that apple have ever made available for this price point. I’m editing 4 camera, 4K 10 bit 4:2:2 footage shot in S-Log 3, hour long podcasts and this thing doesn’t break a sweat.
These laptops are also incredibly efficient. This can get me through an intense 5 hour editing session before needing to charge back up. If i’m just browsing or enjoying a movie, i can get over 15 hours of battery life.
Highly recommend this to level up your editing set up!

I’m extremely satisfied with the experience. From the moment I unboxed it, the premium build quality stood out. The aluminum design feels sturdy yet lightweight, making it easy to carry around for work or travel

Best computer I’ve owned. I came from using a MacBook Air M2 which was great but needed something a little faster for editing video on the go. The speed of the M4 Pro MacBook Pro was exactly what I needed. It’s just barely bigger than the 13” Air, thicker, and with all the connections I need for editing. The speakers were also a huge upgrade. I’ve owned previous models of MB Pros in the past but this is by far the best designed, and obviously, the fastest (vs. past models).

Love this setup. Plenty of ram and a big ssd. Its so quick and handles anything I throw at it. Glad I waited fot thr M4 Pro chip. The battery lasts forever too. I have been traveling more and this macbook has been perfect for work school, video editing, games and chilling out watching movies. Thr speakers are very impressive, much more robust than I expected for a 13” laptop. If you’re on the fence, just get it, you wont be disappointed.

This was a significant upgrade to m 2012 MacBook Pro. Even though it's a bigger screen size, physically it's much smaller and lighter than my 2012. Works great and keeps up with my video editing

Top takeaways:
Performance: Blazing fast, handles everything from coding to editing with ease.
Display: Liquid Retina XDR is stunning. Nano-texture option is a game-changer in bright light.
Battery: Easily 18–20 hours in real-world use. Best I’ve seen on a pro laptop.
Ports: HDMI 2.1, SD card reader, MagSafe, multiple monitor support — finally pro-ready.
Pros: Power, battery life, gorgeous display.
Cons: Expensive upgrades, same design, AI features still early.
Verdict: The perfect balance of performance + portability. Pricey, but if you need a reliable pro-grade machine, this one’s hard to beat.

I'm a heavy Windows PC user, over 25 years experience... building my own PC's, setting up custom waterloops, running (now exteinct) SLI set ups, etc etc. I was very anti-apple.
However I do carry an iphone and have an ipad, and after reading all the reviews, to give Apple one more chance at a desktop computing. Have to say I am loving it. It's definitely a different world, but now that I understand it things better, I love it! Let me explain.
Although the macbook can definitely play some games, especially now with the M4 chip, I don't really see it as a realistic alternative to my Windows PC with the 4090 GTX. But what I love about the Macbook is how I can move things between my ipad/iphone quickly and easily. And at first glance, that doesn't seem like it's worth the price tag. A small Apple Mini can achieve that at a fraction of the cost. But this is a portable powerhouse. I now can have my photos on my iphone readily available on my laptop, my emails readily populate on my macbook in an intuitive app and popup (let's face it, it's better than Windows). I can seemlessly migrate my things from one app to another. This means I can move all my data, I can create content, on the fly, anywhere, on the go. It's powerful enough, it's interconnecting all my gear.
Some drawbacks as mentioned is , it's still not a realistic gaming powerhouse, but it's getting awfully close. The unified memory system took me a while to understand why and how I'm losing memory. And I can't expand this on my own if I wanted to. In a Windows laptop most manufacturers allow this and even show you how to do it., whether it's RAM or NVME hard drive space.
Without rambling too much, the bottom line is everything's very smooth, everything's connected, suddenly using my ipad as a secondary monitor on the go is awesome, having all my photos/videos readily available to easily content-create is great. The experience is different, I recommend everyone switching over to Mac to spend 30-60 minutes watching videos, after that you won't even turn back.
