My daughter is currently taking two summer time, online courses and has just raved about her MacBook Pro. I know she’ll take great care of it & it will last her through high school and continue into college. She couldn’t be happier!!!

It is juat what I expected... but... it seems to be a problem with the monitor. Weird blue lines appearing all of a sudden. Like a weird glitch.

My last MacBook Pro was a 17 inch late 2011 model. Except for the video chip problem... Apple fixed it the 1st time with another doomed to fail chip... it was the best computer I've ever owned. I certainly got my money's worth on that one. When the video failed again, it didn't seem worth the bucks to try and have it repaired again, so I bit the bullet and bought the highly praised 2019, 16 inch model. Although much of the software I used was fairly new, I realized that the new MBP would have Catalina as it's operating system and a lot of the existing software was not certified to run on Catalina. So my plan was to partition half of the SSD to run an older OS and stick to that for a while, then gradually make the transition as my programs became compatible. I knew Catalina only runs 64 bit programs, but I didn't realize that the computer itself... not just the OS, would only run 64 bit. Once I realized this, my Plan B was to take the old internal drive out of the 2011 MBP and place it in an external case, then Option Boot into the old system. Unfortunately, that doesn't work either. This computer will NOT run an older OS... period. (I've read that you can trick it into running an older system under a virtual environment such as Parallels, but that would be a pain.) So I've had to replace almost everything I used on my old laptop, and some of the new programs only partially work with Catalina.... making a very expensive computer, even more expensive. There are 4 USB-C ports, and that's it. Plus one of them is for AC power, so there's really only 3 ports. If you have a lot of peripherals, you'll need some type of dock, a USB C to USB 3 Hub, and probably a handful of various adapters. All that said, it is a terrific laptop. The 16 inch screen is great. The keyboard feels like a keyboard should. Touch ID is nice. The battery seems to last a good while. It's not too heavy. I even like the Touch Bar to my surprise. Just keep in mind, you might have to replace a good bit of your software and you may need adapters to connect your current external hardware. And you definately need to plan for the future when you buy because you can't upgrade the ram or internal drive. The quality is excellent, the Value is good 'cuz it a Mac and they could be priced more competitively, and the Ease of use is excellent once you get there. If you had an "Ease of transition" category, this one would rank much lower, at least for me.

This thing has been amazing 3+ years later. I use it to Dj so really task saturate the memory. Looking for an excuse to upgrade but it runs fine!

The computer is a work horse, however, I have already had to have the logic board replaced along with the track pad. Just be sure to purchase AppleCare along with the laptop in case you should need it.

I decided after 6 and a half years of using my Macbook Air, it was time to invest in a new laptop. Instead of buying the premade models, I decided to add a couple of upgrades and really get a bang for my buck. It's been a month now and I can definitely say this laptop is everything I need and want it to be. There's no buffer period, the screen is amazing (especially when using Photoshop), the weight is doable for anyone traveling with this model, and it absolutely delivers on every front. Love everything about this laptop.

I replaced a 10 year old MacBook Pro with this one - mainly to use for processing video. Processing is so much faster than my desktop. I actually had to return 2 of these laptops within the 14 day return period - because the first two would shut down or crash while I was in the middle of typing or when I started up - a “Your computer shut down because of a problem” alert would pop up. Apple was a champ in helping diagnose the problem. Best Buy was awesome with the exchange(s) - 5 Stars for Apple and Best Buy”s tried and true customer service!

Great audio & video & processing speed ! I needed a powerful laptop to drive some demanding software. I am very happy with this machine !

I had a 2015 15in MacBook Pro with an i7 processor and 16GB of RAM and this laptop was a significant upgrade in terms of speed. I usually use video editing and audio mixing software, this laptop has helped a lot with the lag I was getting from my previous laptop.

Didn’t actually get the above listed item. It was an open box and I got and i7 with 16GB RAM and 8TB drive. Works just as well and extreme storage space.

Purchased to use with music production software. Working great so far. First Mac and love the ease of using the program.

Not Apple's best. Things are starting to decline as Steve Jobs is no longer there to steer the ship. Anyone done any research on who owns the iPhone branding? - Yeah Cisco Systems, crazy right? When we thought we knew everything, and we bought into Apple / Siri and got Lazy.
