CONS: * Heavy as you'd expect * Edges where your palms are, the corner is very sharp. Always has been on Apple laptops, sadly. * Stupid expensive for more than 512 GB SSD which is frankly criminal these days. * Screen feels fragile, thin, so be careful to close by middle or use both hands. PROS: * Keyboard is crisply functional. Feels nice to type. * Trackpad is huge * Screen is really nicely large * CPU doesn't run really hot on normal usage like the older INTELS. IF you do a lot of intense, it does get warm. Haven't felt it getting hot yet. * 2 fans keep it quieter. I rarely hear the fan come on until the unit gets hot. So far that's only been 1 time in a month. * The M4 Pro chip is VERY FAST. Photos pop up as soon as you touch them. Nice. Got 50 tabs open on a browser? No problem. It's a revolution in chip speed for sure. Coming from a 2014 15", it's like going from a golf cart to a Lamborghini * Love the battery life. * Love the finger touch logon. * Display is sharp, colorful, BRIGHT, just really amazing. Best Buy: * They allowed me to buy, cancel, buy, etc easily. The ppl in the store helped me out. Best Buy is better than most stores these days for Appliances, but also IT. * They have their own membership care allows AppleCare for multiple products that is way cheaper than AppleCare by itself. As long as you keep it. Which can exceed the initial 2 years. Plus it has discounts. It pays for itself if you use Best Buy for a few products a year. Summary: Why 5 stars with the CONS above? It's the best laptop on the market. Apple shot past PC laptops with this M chip they make. It runs faster and cooler than competition. So Apple, who was running behind has caught up and sped ahead here.

I have been a windows user for 30 years. never understood the appeal with Mac. Now with apple silicon I can confidently say that unless your work is tied to specific windows only software or you're gaming focused buy a MacBook Pro, its better in every other measurable metric. Biggest thing that differentiates this product from any windows machines is battery life, which is to say windows has no competition. sure some of the newest panther lake chips do get solid battery life (9-10) hours of screen time which is amazing for windows as a whole but you HAVE to disable the discrete GPU otherwise you'll be getting 2-4 hours at most. Even then the best windows machines with decent graphics performance last half as long as this MacBook Pro. Second big deal is this device just works in its fullest performant sate while being unplugged which doesn't exist for windows unless 30 minuets per charge is impressive to you. This MBP is silent as in the fans DO NOT SPIN at all if your just doing normal stuff, which is how it should be, unlike pesky windows causing fans to ramp up for no reason even if you're idle. this alone greatly increases fan lifespan. MacOS is very different from windows that much is obvious and some probably won't like it. I had to do some tweaks to get it to where the changes don't immediately bother me, specifically every window being in its own space is just strange and MacOS as a whole doesn't like full screen as the animation transition honestly looks unfinished and is quite jarring so I had to disable motion to give the illusion its smoother. The screen is one of the best I've seen on any consumer product, gets literally too bright and even though its LCD it looks as good as OLED thanks to the quantum dot miniLED technology and 2,500+ local dimming zones. Outside of haloing in HDR content and lower pixel latency this screen visually looks identical to an OLED panel. resolution is just shy of 4K at 7.78 million total pixels vs 4Ks 8.4 million but still more than enough. CPU performance is off the charts, only thing faster than this is some thousand dollar plus AMD threadripper or the newest M5 Pro/ Max chips. All the windows devices that do get good battery ironically use the medium power panther lake chips which are around base M4 in performance. GPU performance is exceptional. No it's not as fast as your RTX 5080 or 5070, roughly around RTX 3070/ 3070ti in raw GPU muscle. But it can run Cyberpunk 2077 ( actual gameplay not the worthless in game benchmark ) at 1200p, balanced metal FX, all high settings, ray traced everything but reflections set to medium and I'm averaging 45fps which is more than usable. AGAIN, this device is not made for gaming but it can absolutely game if your expectations are realistic. on battery I get 3-4 hours of usage running this game in particular which again no windows machine gets even close to as they're not designed to run off the battery while gaming. Because my lifestyle doesn't depend on legacy windows software to run I will never consider another windows laptop so long as I live. This is where its at.

I’ve been using the 2025 MacBook Pro 16-inch for a few weeks now, and the performance is honestly staggering. Being that I’m a strong Windows user trying out a MacBook Pro.I can say I am thoroughly impressed but this MacBook. I charged this laptop on release day and gone an entire weekend and haven’t had to charge it yet. The laptop itself is very beautiful and gives a very professional feel. In terms of performance I have yet to find anything that can bog the system down. Stays snappy with any task I’m doing. My only slight dislike is the device is heavy. It’s heavier feeling than my ROG G17, but it’s not something I’m gonna hold against it with as much power this thing has. Highly recommend. Turned a Windows power user into a Mac person now.

Great Product, Apple is always the way to go, hands down the best computer that I believe is on the market these computers are so quick fast and great for multitasking if your trying to do many things at once. Great for college if you have a big essay coming up or maybe even working from home, great battery life this can last me the whole day and most of the time I watch YouTube and the videos are so crystal clear it’s really worth the money and they will last you a very long time

Have been using the laptop for a few weeks now and it has been working just as expected. It is powerful enough to handle all my external peripherals, including two external monitors, very smoothly. Built in screen is big enough to get some serious work done on the go. Speakers are also impressive with the depth of their sound.

Is very heavy but tbh I think if they are coming out with a new version soon it might not hold the same life. Thats just my opinion. The battery life is why I bought this one and it works perfect! I had the 13.6 inch midnight and I do a lot of split screen work it was too small. But this one works amazing.

Excellent MacBook Pro! The screen is awesome, great sound and super fast and stays charged for days! It’s really incredible, one word of caution is that I paired it with the new Thunderbolt 5 Razer dock and had a lot of connectivity issues. Maybe with updates it will be better. I plugged everything into the MacBook and no issues.

Loving the laptop so far. The battery lasts a LONG time. It charges so fast and I love the charge cable which easily detaches instead of dumping my laptop into the floor. The laptop is lightning fast and I feel much more confident in this OS than in the cluster that Windows 11 has become. I've also loaded up a few of the PC games I play and have been surprised how well they perform.

My first MacBook after years on Windows. (There is a learning curve re: commands etc but nothing drastic.) This laptop is fast, I love the display (crystal clear), and build quality seems great. Still getting used to it, but so far it exceeds expectations. Oh -- and it sat idle for a week, and battery was still at 98%.
