This is an excellent laptop. The screen is bigger while the overall product is smaller and lighter. Solid state hard drive, the machine is quieter and cooler.

I sold my MacBook to purchase this new MacBook Pro. The laptop is a pinch more in weight compared to the MacBook, however, the performance and the touch bar make up for it. At the present time there are not many apps that take advantage of the touch bar, however, I have seen more and more apps that are taking advantage of the touch bar being released.

If you are gonna buy a Mac, the is the first laptop with an actual computer processor in it. Everything below this has a mobile processor like in a phone or iPad. If you are surfing the web, watching movies, checking emails, or writing papers only, then you don't need this MacBook. But if you are gonna run any sort of legitimate program that takes processing power, then this is where you have to go. I use this to run the adobe suite of products and it works just fine. I haven't done 4K video yet, but if I wanted to render that fast, I wouldn't get a laptop. The few coding side projects I've done on it have compiled fast as well. Since everything is solid state, data transfer is super quick. I've run the thunderbolt 3 for some movie files to an SSD and didn't realize it would be that fast. The top touch bar is an extremely nice feature as well. I didn't think much of it at first, but after configuring it with special hot keys and running it for a while, it was very pleasant and intuitive to use. My wife who isn't good with technology has a great time using this machine as well. If you want a MacBook Pro to run actual programs on, this is a great starting machine.

We had a 27" Mac and loved it. But we are retired now and need a computer that will travel with us. This is a perfect match for us. When we picked it up after the data migration and turned it on it was identical to our Mac, just a little smaller. On its first trip (to Puerto Rico) it performed exactly as expected. We couldn't be happier!

We bought the MacBook Pro for my 14 year old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it, great for video editing.

This is one of the best MacBook refreshes made until now. I have owned this for two years now and works great. Battery life is impeccable and I think I will keep it for a while. I have had some minor keyboard problems, but I heard Apple is exchanging them for nothing or very low charge.

This was a great buy. The amount that I paid was beyond wonderful. This purchase was an open box that looked brand new

Coming from a huge Gateway computer, I was skeptical. I wanted a computer that could do everything and that could be transported easily. Now that I have this, I wouldn't go to any other type of computer. Especially since everything I have is apple. Its so much easier and lightweight and fun to play with. Highly recommend.
