The new Magic Keyboard for the M4 iPad Pro is absolutely fantastic. The design feels slimmer and lighter than before, but still very sturdy and premium. The floating hinge makes adjusting angles effortless, and it feels rock solid when the iPad is attached—it’s like using a sleek laptop.
Typing on it is a joy. The keys have a satisfying click, great travel, and feel almost identical to a MacBook keyboard. The trackpad is larger now and super responsive, making multitasking and navigation smooth and intuitive. The added function row is a small detail but such a huge upgrade—it makes adjusting brightness, volume, and media so much quicker.
It also charges through the USB-C port, which is super convenient, and the overall look in Space Black is just gorgeous with the iPad. Combined, it feels like a full premium laptop replacement.
Yes, it’s pricey, but if you use your iPad Pro daily for work or study, this Magic Keyboard is 100% worth it. It transforms the iPad into a whole new experience!

This is hands-down the best accessory you can buy for the iPad Pro. I need gear that works as hard as I do, and the build quality on this Magic Keyboard is exceptional; it genuinely feels like it will last forever. The typing experience is snappy and comfortable, practically turning the iPad into a full-fledged laptop for when I need to do quick business admin on the go. The trackpad is incredibly responsive, and I love the floating cantilever design that lets you adjust the screen to the perfect viewing angle. It provides great protection while looking incredibly sleek.

This keyboard is an absolute marvel. It surpassed my expectations in every way. The build quality is impressive, and it feels like a professional piece of technology. The weight of the keyboard is justified by the quality of materials used. The keys are smooth and tactile, and the layout is perfect for kids. The trackpad is now larger and feels more comfortable to use. It genuinely resembles a MacBook Pro. If you decide to purchase this keyboard, you won’t regret it. It’s definitely worth the price tag.

Very useful case and keyboard. I’ve had the previous generation one and this one lives up to the standard. Straightforward case and extremely convenient

The Perfect Companion for iPad Pro – Premium Typing and Productivity
The Apple Magic Keyboard is hands-down one of the best accessories you can buy for your iPad Pro. It transforms your tablet into a powerful, laptop-like experience without sacrificing portability or Apple’s signature style.
Build & Design:
Right out of the box, the Magic Keyboard feels solid and premium. The floating cantilever design lets you magnetically attach your iPad and smoothly adjust the viewing angle—making it perfect for typing, video calls, or watching content. It feels balanced and sturdy whether it’s on a desk or your lap.
⌨️ Typing Experience:
Typing on the Magic Keyboard is a dream. The keys are backlit, with great travel and tactile feedback, making it feel like a MacBook keyboard. Long typing sessions are comfortable, and the full-size layout helps avoid mistakes or hand cramping.
Trackpad & Navigation:
The built-in multi-touch trackpad is a game-changer. It’s small but highly responsive and integrates beautifully with iPadOS gestures. Scrolling, swiping, and navigating apps feels intuitive and smooth—finally giving the iPad the full productivity experience.
Power & Port:
The Magic Keyboard includes a USB‑C passthrough port for charging, freeing up the iPad’s port for accessories or external drives. Battery consumption is minimal, and it connects seamlessly—no Bluetooth or extra setup needed.
Portability:
While it adds some weight to your iPad, it’s worth it. It folds into a sleek protective case when closed, keeping your screen and back safe while still looking sharp.

I like the new design of the keyboard buttons with the extra rows for your shortcut keys. The trackpad is as big as a MacBook Pro's now which makes it great to use. Not saying that the older gen was hard to use, but having a bigger trackpad, it makes it easier. I like that it's lighter and that the USB-C port now supports 35W. If you are buying the new M4 iPad Pros, you don't have a choice as the older version will not work due to the new arrangements of the magnets now. If you are planning on using this as a semi-replacement for your MacBook, then you will need this keyboard. Again, $350 is too expensive, but I haven't had a chance to try out the other ones like Logitech or ESR to be able to recommend those. One thing to keep in mind is that since they change the hinge area to make it smaller, the iPad has a greater chance of tipping over as it becomes top heavy. So just be mindful of that and maybe don't angle it all the way.

The Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 13-inch (M4) is the perfect accessory for anyone looking to turn their iPad into a productivity powerhouse. The sleek black design is not only stylish but also feels sturdy and well-built. The keyboard itself is responsive and provides a satisfying typing experience, almost on par with a laptop. The trackpad is smooth and precise, making multitasking even easier.
One of the standout features is the magnetic attachment—it clicks on seamlessly and offers great flexibility when adjusting the viewing angle. Plus, the fact that it’s powered directly through the iPad means there’s no need to worry about charging it separately.
Overall, this keyboard transforms the iPad Pro into a versatile work device, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance and functionality. Highly recommend!

Overall a very solid keyboard that does exactly what it says it will do. The keyboard is very similar to a MacBook keyboard which was the problem with the Logitech combo touch for me. The only down side is the limited angles for the screen and also would be cool if there was an actual case that came with it that also used the small magnets on the back.

we got this case to make use of ipad like laptop for our personal and office use. We wanted our 9 year child also to start using the keyboard to get well versed with keypad and typing. The case is very excellent made and works perfectly for keyboard and as well closed case, the case magnet receives the ipad very well to make it sit in position. Its very easy to remove and fit it back. Material and quality used is very good. Overall super satisfied with the product and am loving it.

Lightweight design compared to predecessors
Despite concerns about bulk, the newer combo of iPad Pro + Magic Keyboard (M4) is lighter than earlier versions and even lighter than the 13″ MacBook Air, making it more portable

Great keyboard and in good condition for buying it used. I’m very happy with my purchase and how the keyboard functions. Track pad is great. I wish the keyboard allowed for the screen to lean further back but this is a very minor call out. Magnet of iPad to keyboard is strong and holds in place well. Key pad clicks as you type so its not quite but not very loud either. I would suggest to buy.

I love this keyboard, it is easy to use and the stand is strong. Keyboard functions great for my office work and the stand is great for when I am watching a show/movie during a break

These Magic Keyboards are so much lighter than the last model, and it comes with the function key row with things like Esc, brightness adjustment, volume adjustment, lock screen, etc. It has addressed all the flaws of the iPad Pro 5th/6th gen Magic Keyboard.

I upgraded from the 11” iPad Air M1 to the 13” iPad Pro M4 with the intention of also replacing the MacBook Pro I wasn’t often using. On the other hand, I use my iPad almost more than my phone. The Magic Keyboard is the piece that really brings this idea together nicely.
I’ll admit, I didn’t use the previous ‘soft touch’ models, however the new aluminum one feels like typing on a MacBook. The function row is great, the track pad is big and it just feels great to use.
My only ‘cons’ are that the iPad is a little top heavy so if it’s in your lap on the couch/bed/recliner, and can want to tip over if your hand isn’t on the wrist rest area. Also, the aluminum looks and feels great, but you have to be careful not to scratch either device with metal to metal contact.
All in all I’m very happy with my purchase and ultimately deciding to give up my MacBook in favor of this setup. I hope to see some more function from iPad OS 18, but am just as happy is that doesn’t happen.
Oh, one last thing. It’s very expensive for a keyboard. It’s still, just a keyboard. That isn’t functional wirelessly (the dream).

Ok… enough said with the price, we all know it’s VERY expensive! But ok, we bought them and we will continue, it seems…. So let’s talk about the keyboard and not the price.
The best trackpad ever on these type of keyboards!! What makes it great? The haptic feedback and the size! Apple continues to make the best trackpads, now doubt about it. The keys are really good as well, I like the travel and feel of it… and did I mention the function keys?? It’s cool that they are here! Like, I wouldn’t make a big deal on the previous ones… they weren’t there and I was like meh, but now that they are here it’s a welcome commodity.
I also love that now we can fast charge on the bottom of the Magic Keyboard instead of on the iPad itself. So yeah, it’s the best one yet.
BUT!!!
I find the metal exposed hinge harsh, slippery and annoying! The previous models wouldn’t slip while placed vertically to open it…. Yes I know, perhaps I shouldn’t open it like this but I do 9 out of 10 times. I guess I’m gonna have to get used to setting it flat on a surface and open it like a MacBook Pro. But I would never have the need for this with the previous ones. So, yeah, is it a huge deal? Yes and no, I hate this issue but do I hate it enough to return it? No. I will keep it. Ni modo :/
