By far the best charger I have ever purchased, so durable and charges my gadgets so fast and with ease!

I bought this to replace the charger that came with my MacBook after it wore out. The part that connects to the computer is SO much better than the original! It connects quickly and charges much faster. It also connects in a way that the cord is never bent, which I'm quite certain led to the demise of my last cord. And Best Buy charges the same amount of money as the Apple store, but Best Buy is local so I don't have to wait for it to ship. Win-win situation!

This is the best purchase I've made at best buy. Had an old Macbook late 2008 Unibody. Didn't expect to find a charger let alone one that was cheaper than retail. These chargers suck for durability but hopefully it will last. This model did just get removed from the MacOS Sierra update but Yosemite is plenty. Can't really be much better for what i needed. Plan to purchase more and more things from my local best buy.

I've been using this charger for almost a year and a half now after I accidentally broke my original one. When I initially got it, I encountered some problems with it not making contact with my charging port. However, I was outside of Best Buy's return and exchange window. Fortunately, I took my receipt to my nearest Apple store and they were able to take care of me. It's still going strong to this day and have had no problems since then.

What can I say? It’s an Apple charger. You’re buying an expensive piece of hardware for your already very-expensive computer and you’re going to get quality, but pay way too much for it. The problem is that you don’t really have a choice; there are so many warnings against using 3rd party chargers on Apple products that you risk damaging your hardware for getting a cheaper charger. Do yourself a favor and grab this over what you might be mulling over on Amazon. You’ll save yourself your computer’s battery.

It's a great item and charges fast, the bad thing of it is that it has a short life period, it messes up or over heats in a relatively short period of time.

They do what they're supposed to, however, they are not made of quality. The cord wears out and starts to split apart at about a year into use - the actual plastic stuff holding the wires together begins to peel off. I would highly recommend buying an alternative, if one existed. But for now, just try not to bend the cord too much so it might last longer. These definitely are not worth even $50. They, like many of Apple's accessories, do not meet Apple's high-quality standards. But it's your only option when it comes to macbook pro power cords. As you can see, I had to tape my previous one up after about 8 months of use. Just use electrical and packaging tape if you can't afford the $80.

This adapter works with the MacBook Pro. It's easy to use and has a helpful indicator. Unfortunately, had to replace the original charger; it stopped working.

Needed a replacement adapter for my child's school MacBook. After careful review of specs and no thanks to the Apple Macintosh website, the Best Buy representatives were able to help me select the right unit. Wish I could have seen a sample model before I purchased the real one, so that we could have not have to guess on which power adapter was needed. Other than that, everything works great.

This is for an older version laptop. Works great. Good cord length. Easy to use.

I am gladly to be happy with the way; which close to my located home in sunset street down to Sherwood, therefore, I don’t want to buy a technically cheap battery charger that I have an apple equipment; laptop is MacBook Air. Besides that, I am very disappointed in my pet cat Lucille bit it, and that is why I had to take a damage wire to repair it, that’s how I feel blessed in the moment!

Charger is very easy to use and charges fast. Best charger ever.

After my laptop charger went out after 7 years of flawless charging, I was faced with having to go out and purchase a replacement. After reviewing "off-brand" chargers with a much smaller price tag, I decided against them and went with the Apple charger instead. Yes, being an Apple product does raise the price a little, but understandably so! The product is clearly well made and I fully expect it to outlive my last one!

My old charger lasted me six year. The ports were frayed and eventually one of the prongs fell off. This is a good product, I agree with other reviewers about that apple needs quality control on their chargers and stuff. BUT I will say your charger will last longer if you take care of it. Don't just have it laying around on the floor, or taking it with you and jumbling it up into your backpack.

I saw multiple gripes about this power supply, but I'm happy to report that the one I just purchased in early 2017 has improved the protection of the cable at both ends and looks to be more durable than its predecessors (and I use that word deliberately). I'm not even a big Mac user and I have seen two earlier versions of this power supply fail due to internal breaks of the cable at one end or the other. I have hopes this will be the last one I buy. The price seems step but if works and I expect it to last.

Really love this adapter, easy to use and keep my PC charged

Needed to replace original charger for my 2009 Mac Book Pro laptop. After 8 years the power adapter's mag plug cord frayed. The wire shorted out and would not charge my mac. Found a replacement adapter at my local Best Buy. Fortunate to find an open box item which saved me some money. It was a newer style MagSafe adapter compared to my original , but worked with my MacBook like a champ!!
