Bought this for my girl's laptop because after years of wear and tear the charger stopped working. Gave her this product and it charges her laptop perfectly. Will recommend people to buy but just make sure it is compatible with the laptop you own like I did. I just went to Apple's website and put in the model type she owned.

This charger for the early MacBook Pro's all the way up to Early 2011 is great. I love the quick magnetic disconnect, was ahead of the technologic laptop race back in 2008. No more damaged charger ports or bad charger connections due to plug-in power ports. A great feature also is that you can use this charger on NEWER MacBook Pro's with a simple Mag Safe1 to Mag Safe 2 adaptor (Not included with Mag Safe1), canceling the need for a new charger assembly.

Works well. Charges fast and doesn't over heat. Overall good

My daughter's power adapter had become frayed near the junction to her Mac. Finding the adaptor available at Best Buy was convenient and as it is the same Apple product, I had no doubts it would be compatible. I also had some rewards from my Best Buy card which brought down the price. The Apple store never has sales on these so this was a great perk. It's working great.

This is the best purchase I've made at best buy. Had an old Macbook late 2008 Unibody. Didn't expect to find a charger let alone one that was cheaper than retail. These chargers suck for durability but hopefully it will last. This model did just get removed from the MacOS Sierra update but Yosemite is plenty. Can't really be much better for what i needed. Plan to purchase more and more things from my local best buy.

What can I say? It’s an Apple charger. You’re buying an expensive piece of hardware for your already very-expensive computer and you’re going to get quality, but pay way too much for it. The problem is that you don’t really have a choice; there are so many warnings against using 3rd party chargers on Apple products that you risk damaging your hardware for getting a cheaper charger. Do yourself a favor and grab this over what you might be mulling over on Amazon. You’ll save yourself your computer’s battery.

I bought this to replace the charger that came with my MacBook after it wore out. The part that connects to the computer is SO much better than the original! It connects quickly and charges much faster. It also connects in a way that the cord is never bent, which I'm quite certain led to the demise of my last cord. And Best Buy charges the same amount of money as the Apple store, but Best Buy is local so I don't have to wait for it to ship. Win-win situation!

My old 2013 MAC book wire charger was badly in bad shape. So it needed a new one and so far so good.

I've been using this charger for almost a year and a half now after I accidentally broke my original one. When I initially got it, I encountered some problems with it not making contact with my charging port. However, I was outside of Best Buy's return and exchange window. Fortunately, I took my receipt to my nearest Apple store and they were able to take care of me. It's still going strong to this day and have had no problems since then.

It's a great item and charges fast, the bad thing of it is that it has a short life period, it messes up or over heats in a relatively short period of time.

This adapter works with the MacBook Pro. It's easy to use and has a helpful indicator. Unfortunately, had to replace the original charger; it stopped working.

They do what they're supposed to, however, they are not made of quality. The cord wears out and starts to split apart at about a year into use - the actual plastic stuff holding the wires together begins to peel off. I would highly recommend buying an alternative, if one existed. But for now, just try not to bend the cord too much so it might last longer. These definitely are not worth even $50. They, like many of Apple's accessories, do not meet Apple's high-quality standards. But it's your only option when it comes to macbook pro power cords. As you can see, I had to tape my previous one up after about 8 months of use. Just use electrical and packaging tape if you can't afford the $80.

This is for an older version laptop. Works great. Good cord length. Easy to use.

Needed a replacement adapter for my child's school MacBook. After careful review of specs and no thanks to the Apple Macintosh website, the Best Buy representatives were able to help me select the right unit. Wish I could have seen a sample model before I purchased the real one, so that we could have not have to guess on which power adapter was needed. Other than that, everything works great.

Really love this adapter, easy to use and keep my PC charged

The brand new plug that I had to purchase for my newly purchased refurbished laptop works perfectly well. Despite the fact that I should’ve been provided a functioning plug to begin with and not done haphazardly glued together nonsense. But yea, this works well.
