When my puppy decided to chew through my charger cable for my new Mac Book, I was shocked to discover the replacement cost $80! I needed it, so I went to Best Buy with the intention of spending the money. Good thing the young man who helped me listened to my story and said , "well, do you still have your old Mac Book charger? There is an adapter made by Apple that will work for you!" The best part, it was only $10! Thank you Best Buy for thoroughly training your employees. This works GREAT!

I broke my power adapter Of my MacBook Pro and did not want to waste a lot of money buying a new one. I was browsing the internet, until I saw this small device on Bestbuy. I remember my nephew has a old power adapter from a older MacBook Pro. It fit perfect. I only wasted less than $10 to fix this problem. Very happy!!!

Bought this for my extra MacBook plug from my older machine so I'd have a spare for my new machine. Works great. I just want to be careful I don't accidentally lose it. It is small, and just connects I guess magnetically. But it does the job it was purchased to do.

would love a reverse model also but nice to at least have this, one less charger in the house

From my Thunderbolt Display I can now power my laptop and have video signal all through 2 cable that split from the 1 cable of the Thunderbolt Display. No more busting out my power brick., connect and go. Love it!

Adapter works great for older MacBooks with MagSafe and a newer charger

It works great. Attaches easily and quickly. Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Beats carrying two chargers.

I still have older and newer macs which makes this adapter a godsend to be able to take a single charger on the go. Plus i find that the magnetic hold on these is much stronger that using a magsafe2 power adapter.

I have an older MacBook Pro and a newer MacBook Air. The each have a different connection type of power cord tip. I use both laptops at different locations and sometimes either have the wrong power cord with me, or don't want to carry two different power cords with me. So this small (and easily lost so I have two in two laptop bags) adapter is perfect, until the next Apple laptop comes out with yet a different type of power cord tip. Perhaps MagSafe 3?

I have an older MacBook Pro and a newer MacBook Air. I got sick of having two chargers plugged in and picked up this adapter so the two devices can share one charger. Works as expected.

Great product. Works like it should. I just wish bestbuy would carry the 60w magsafe2 charger instead of me having to buy this adapter and spend another 10$ because they only sell the 60w MagSafe charger.

The sales guy at Best Buy told me that I needed to buy the adapter for my new Thunder bolt display and I ended up buying it. However the Thunder bolt display already comes with the adapter. Will be returning...

I bought this to convert an old power adapter I had to a MacBook Pro. The adapter is in great condition and this adapter then enabled me to use that power adapter on my new MacBook Air. This was the perfect solution, the magnet is strong and doesn't fall off without my making the effort to disconnect it myself. I haven't noticed any drain or slowness in power either.

Bought a new MacBook Pro 15 and a Thunderbolt monitor. This is a must have to help with power connections. Don't need to use my MacBook power adapter when using this adapter with a Thunderbolt monitor.

i find that this one $10 piece beats purchasing an entire charger cable. I have the new one that came with my mac so I had a spare that was a magsafe 1, this made it work as if it was the original.

Allows me to use my Thunderbolt display with my MacBook Pro Retina. It's actually a little easier to remove the power connector from the MacBook since it sticks out a bit more than the old Magsafe adapter.
