I'm alwayss finding myself in places with old Magsafe 1 cables (still!). This little adapter is a great thing to toss in your pocket when headed out for a meeting or in to the office. There's nothing more frustrating than a spare power brick sitting there while your computer dies because the magsafe doesn't fit. Recommended!

Bravo to Apple for its willingness to accommodate its existing customers who upgrade products and then must repurchase accessories due to a minor cable form factor change. I had purchased several extra chargers over the years for my car, office, and bedroom. I can keep using them, thanks to this inexpensive adapter.

What can I say, it’s an Apple branded and manufactured power connection adapter that performs as it should without damaging or destroying the Apple device it is connected to, and I would assume it would not void the warranty as it is an Apple made and branded adapter. It does what it is made to do flawlessly and safely, I love that I saved a lot of money not having to buy another power supply and I can now utilize my older ones for my current Apple device’s. Money well spent

I bought this primarily to be able to share an existing Mac Pro power supply, centrally located, on a Macbook Air with the newer MagSafe 2 connector. It works perfectly for this purpose and negates the need to run another wall-wart supply and waste an outlet connection. It allows keeping the MB Air PS in the travel pouch when needed while on the road. A nice side benefit is that although the adapter does add a fraction of an inch to the size of the Magsafe connection, the width dimension of the adapter is exactly the same as the width of the MB Air case, allowing a flush surface that does not catch things (like fabric fibers or a stray dog hair) that can get between the adapter and the power supply. The magnetic hold is strong enough that you could leave the adapter attached to the MB Air permanently if desired. I am quite satisfied with this arrangement, although I do not see any advantages for why Apple decided to change the adapter size for newer models (unless to sell these adapters as an extra revenue source, as the new plugs are about the same size anyway).

My Macbook charger finally died. Not just died, it fell apart! I ordered a new one from Apple's website but didn't realize I needed the converter (wasn't paying attention), and obviously needed this part to get back in business. Ran over to Best Buy, it was in stock and has been working beautifully.

I use a 2011 MacBook Pro with the older Magsafe charger, and my employee uses a 2013 MacBook Pro with the Newer Magsafe 2 charger... so I purchased this to use one charger at work... handy! Much better then buying another charger which I thought I may need to do (originally). Must have for Mac users!

Well apple always fonds a way to "better" there products with their ever so slight changes to things, but this adapter really saves the day! Never waste $80 on extra chargers for old MBP's...$10 gets me multiple chargers that are all just as good as the new one included with my current MBP.

A handy adapter if you have a new MacBook and an older AC adapter. It's always nice to have an extra power supply for a laptop and this allows you to use the older style. It also attaches via magsafe (possibly the most brilliant technology Apple has developed in the last 10 years) which is great.

I had to replace a 4 year old UPS with similar stats. The CyberPower product is smaller, lighter and was very easy to set up and bring online. We've already taken two power spikes since the installation and have not lost the server or gear plugged into the supply. I would easlily buy it again.

I had one of these to use to adapt one of my older power cords to use with a mac that has a newer cord. It works great- but just be careful, because it is small it can be easily misplaced- this is my second one, I am not sure where I lost my first one, but I know I will find it soon :)

I've had this product for over a year and it still works perfectly. It attaches to my husband's MagSafe charger magnetically and I'm able to charge my Mac that only takes the MagSafe2 charger. I haven't run into any problems with it! Definitely recommend!

I have a MacBook Air with the MagSafe 2 that has this Converter attached to it. The magnet on the Converter is strong and holds onto the MacBook Air quite well. I also have an older MacBook Pro with the original MagSafe configuration. With this Converter on the MacBook Air, I can use the older MacBook Pro’s power supply at my desk to service both the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro depending on which one I am using at the desk at any one time. Very handy!

I have a Mac Book Air that is three+years old. The power adaptor is different than that required for my new Mac Book Pro. Of course I had several power adaptors for the Air so this device was great vs spending a bunch on all new equipment. They work perfectly.

This is the one you can connect with your old macbook laptop old power supply if you still have the old one and you can leave the old with this adapter either at home or at office in case you need to power up your new macbook laptop

Its kind of annoying that Apple changed the MagSafe plug, but in order to make laptops thinner it was necesary. I'm glad they made this adapter so I don't have to have two separate charges for my old MacBook and my new MacBook Air. This thing works perfect.

Great adapter for replacement of new MagSafe charger.

This one piece of equipment saved me $50. I wanted to have two power cords available to me with the upgrade from my 2010 MBP to my new one. I didn't really want to spend the extra money on the power cable but was going to bite the bullet anyway b/c of convenience. When I mentioned that to the Apple employee (in the State College, PA store) he showed me this $10 piece that would convert one of my old power cords into an appropriate mag power for my new laptop! I was thrilled and haven't noticed any problems in the charging speed or power.

I wanted a converter that would allow me to use my personal MacBook Pro power cord (older version) with my new laptop I was issued for school. It works perfectly and solved the problem of running out of battery power when my power cord was at school.
