I purchased MacBook as a gift for a friend only to learn that it was useless and would not work after paying over $900 dollars for it. Now I have to wait to ship it back to get any remedy. Hate it. Never again.

Purchased refurbished MacBook Pro for my daughter to bring to college, lasted about 19 days (4days past warranty) Oh, and you can't get a protection plan for refurbished items. Would have been nice to know!!!

Most people deny themselves a mac because of excuses like "it's to expensive" or "I won't be able to use my PC programs on it"... Fact is that because of the cheapness of the PCs on the market now a day (Speaking as a PC user of 21 years) you'll end up wanting to buy a new one in 2 years. I bought the previous generation of the macbook 13' back in 2007 and it's still runs like new! NO problems with bugs, or lags/ freezing. I can probably count the times my macbook has frozen on me with one hand. The Macbook Pro is amazing. Worth every penny! iTunes and iPhoto run effortlessly. System starts up really fast and as soon as the home page is up, you're ready to go. Sleek design and beautiful graphics. Can't recommend it enough.

This is the first Mac that I have owned after a long line of PCs. I had high expectations, and the MacBook has exceeded them. It has an amazing operating system, beautiful display, and sturdy construction. It has some nice bells and whistles like a backlight keyboard with raised keys, speakers with good quality, and large trackpad that feels great. The MacBook has really long battery life - I easily get 6-7 hours. I have also been impressed with AppleCare - they have been great in answering questions I have had during the switch from PC to Mac. I bought a MacBook in part for hardware durability and lack of viruses, but I have not had the laptop long enough to comment on these aspects. Finally, I enjoy the seamless syncing between my iPhone and MacBook. I highly recommend a MacBook to those who are sick of PC viruses and durability issues. Macs are more expensive, but it seems worth it to me.

So my 4-5 year old Toshiba was starting to die and I needed a replacement. I went in and purchased a Gateway PC with an AMD quad core processor. Spec-wise it should have performed adequately, but I was still glitchy even as a new computer. So even though I had enjoyed my old Toshiba, I realized that Windows was really glitchy and I had issues with it too. I decided after much consternation and arguing with the wife to spend the extra $$$. Totally happy. While I have used the iPhone for a little over a year I am not an Apple fanboy. But my experience as a user has showed me that I would probably have a similar experience on a Mac. Everything is so intuitive. This computer kicks butt. Only issue is price, but well worth it.

I love this laptop. I bought it from Bestbuy, and am actually writing this on my Macbook now. It is quick, I use it for pictures and music, and school. Mainly word-processing. This laptop has an amazing backlit keyboard, and a great design. I can sit this on my lap without worrying about it. It isn't too slick or too thick, it is just perfect. I choose this over the Air because of the memory on the air and everything else. This is also better for many other things. Bestbuy sold me the version with 320GB, though. So I would like 500GB.... But I guess that can pass. I bought this the day before Thanksgiving. Oh well, I guess I will just have to go back and see if I can get the 500 version, anyways, amazing computer!

A Good Choice for Me

My MacBook Pro was a good choice for me. Prior to my purchase I considered a MacBook Air which was attractive because of its very light weight. The features of the MacBook Pro out-weighed the lightness of the MacBook Air. The MacBook Pro has a significantly larger hard drive and an internal cd/dvd drive; both features that I appreciate. The display is sharp and bright and the performance is adequately speedy. While a tad heavier than the MacBook Air, this unit is considerably lighter than other laptops which I have previously owned. All in all, this was a good choice for me

I upgraded to this computer from a 7-year-old PowerBook G4 and it is amazing. Clear, bright, high-definition screen, blazing fast processor, and OS X Lion is quite cool once you get the hang of it. Had a bit of a learning curve with iCloud but once you get the hang of it this is really an amazing machine. My only disappointment is that some of my old PowerPC programs no longer work with this computer, including some of my favorite games and the Microsoft Office Suite. Eventually I will use Boot Camp to create a partition on which I can run those programs without difficulty, or just upgrade to newer versions if they're available. But for now, they work just fine. I strongly recommend this computer to anyone looking for a new, top of the line machine for work or play.

This is my first time using a Mac and i have got to say it is a way better experience then I had with windows. The operating system is smooth and fast, it does great with multitasking, and applications fun really fast. Its 7 hour battery lasts me all day long. It is really easy to set up, its easy to hook up your wireless printer with it, all you have to do is download this thing from the apple website and it allows you to print anything to your printer. It has a really good display, the backlit keyboard is great. And its unibody enclosure is really really nice. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who is looking for a long lasting and reliable computer.

I was iffy on spending the loot for a $1200 computer when you can get laptops for $600 now but it was worth spending it. Love the convenience of the scrolling, swiping, etc on the track pad. Now I have trouble using my Windows laptop for work because I try to accidentally use those features and they don't exist.
Battery life is ridiculous good too. oh and the magnetic power connecter is awesome too...you could walk by and step on the power cable and it would just pull off instead of dragging the entire laptop with it. Features like that are the things you would never think of until you have them and then wonder why everything isn't like that.

If you're still thinking to move to an Apple product, do not think anymore!!!!!! I got a laptop this past Christmas 2011 and it's been an extraordinary experience to interact with my new MacBook and Lion as OSX. The gestures are just fabulous and makes your life just easier!!! The performance is quite good, the sound is more than enough, the graphics are gorgeous.

Worry free from any viruses mac product may not have all the softwares I want to use. However, it does not slag and ease of using this product is amazing. I love it, especially after going through few Windows base PCs.
Apple has done excellent job. The price may not be as cheap as PCs but paying little extra is well worth.

My mac book pro was given to me as a gift and it replaces my old windows xp desktop. I loved my desktop because the was the best thing i had since my mini assus EEE. My windows computer was used daily. I do record and make vids, so i bought a dazzle because I lost my transfer cable for my camera and i got pinnacle studios. So i read that program and it never worked as it should of. I was fed up with my windows computer not working the programs that i read into it as they should of. So i ended up getting surprised and got this mac book pro. I love it. You don't need any other programs because this laptop has everything you need. There are editing programs and many other things. Also the main point about that is you never need to read a program which can slow down you're computer and they don't even work most of the time. It's a waste of space and time. The mac book pro is a lean mean driving machine. It is up to any challenge you have to put it through. No problem can stop this computer. It's wonderful and any profession you would want to take on this computer is the one that should be recommended. The hardest part of changing computers, and not only computers but the system it's run on is that getting used to is hard. It took me a good month to at least get grip of the way the OS X program works. This computer is most recommended to be used with safari, just take note of that. Other than that this computer is wonderful in any use. Any test you put in it's way it will plow through it. I highly suggest you make the switch from PC to MAC.

I have had an evil excuse for a computer since 2006 (dell) and I was ready to give up on laptops forever until I bought this little beauty!!!;) I was nervous that the 13 in screen would be a huge difference seeing as how my Dell had a 15 in, but I don't even notice it! I love the backlit keyboard, the lightweight design, and the battery life! Once I figure out how to transfer all my pictures and documents over from my Dell, I'll be on cloud 9!! If you are looking for a computer that has it all this is it! Finally, a laptop that is not in any danger of being thrown off my deck:)
