This is the second iPhone 6 we have bought refurbished through Bestbuy. The first was for our son and second for me. Both appeared new, screens unblemished. We have had no problems with either phone. The first was a Virgin phone and this one was locked to AT&T. I had AT&T unlock the phone so I could use with Cricket Wireless. No problems.

apple has admitted slowing down this phone to sell new ones. AVOID

At first I was very hesitant on buying a refurbished phone because there is no warranty and the idea that something could be wrong with it. Well I finally decided to go ahead with it. I picked it up in the store and looked at it to see if the outside had any damage which it did not except for a little scratch which I noticed because I am very observant. Had the phone for a week before I started to have battery issues. So I took it to apple and they did a battery test which showed up normal. It ended up to be a software thing that got fixed when I restored it. But the man at Apple also noticed that I had a crescent moon covering half of my front camera even though it was not effecting my camera the guy told it could slide all the way over and cause a problem. That was to big of a rick I was willing to take so I returned it to the store where they were very helpful but told me I had to deal with the 1-800 number. Of course the 1-800 number told me it was the stores job to take care of the exchange. I am very angry with Best Buy for selling a phone that had a issues with it when it was supposed to be all checked over, and on top of that the fact that it took me 4 hours to deal with the return of the iPhone.

This refurbished phone came looking brand new! Works great and there was nothing wrong with it. Great option because all the phone company's no longer have the two year contract so this was the only option for me. Thanks Best Buy.

When I made very specific inquiries asking if the phone could be unlocked for use with a Canadian service provider I was offered vague assurances that it could and that Geek Squad would assist in the process. AT&T denied the request. Never again will I purchase anything from Best Buy Online because of lack of product knowledge and no attempt to make things right.

Some people may know that iPhone models 5S and newer have have had issues where the screen sensitivity goes haywire- you tap on one part of the screen and it registers the contact in another, so you end up sending a million broken texts, for example. Well, when people turn their phones in and Apple refurbishes them, they don't actually fix what's causing the issue with the screen, and the issue gets more likely the longer a phone is used, so a refurbished phone is VERY likely to see the issue. Best Buy's warranty for refurbished phones is only 14 days, so basically nothing. Think REALLY HARD about buying a refurbished phone when you might have to deal with this frustration in the future.
