The Smart Cover is the only way to go. I was not really interested in buying it, but as the store employee was explaining what it does, a guy walked buy and said it works great. I decided to take a chance and purchased it for my iPad 2. Wow, I am so happy I did!!! It is built very well and does a fantastic job protecting the glass on my iPad. As if that is not enough, it puts the iPad to sleep the second you close the cover. It is magnetic making it super easy to remove and put back on. I wish I thought of it! I highly recommend this cover for your iPad. You will not be sorry.

This was bought along with an iPad for my one year old nephew. I would say it holds up pretty well because sometimes my nephew will throw it around and the iPad seems to do just fine. The only problem I don't really like about it is that there is not a screen protector or the whole product does not cover the entire iPad like an otterbox would. So sometimes we get greasy fingers on the screen and it is a pain to have to wipe off. Other then that it is generally a good product to use.

This case has the same excellent design features as the iPad it covers. Feel is comfortable, fit is snug and clean, good choice of colors.

When my iPad is not in my Otterbox case, this cover works quite nicely to protect the screen and provide a useful stand and typing angle.

i have enjoyed using the cover its small and easy to get to the off button and like how light it is . the color could havw been brighter

This is a great case for viewing videos,movies, & reading books on a flat surface. The only issue I have is that it's not comfortable to hold in both hands for long periods of time and cover doesn't not always stick. For example when I want to hold the iPad in both hands the cover is flapping and does not stick flat on the back. Other than that this is a great case for the price. The texture and feel of the material is great and the look is very plain.

Does exactly what it was mde for ...it puts the iPad asleep and wakes it up....Also protects the screen and makes up into a portable stand.

Great cover, it protects the screen well and I like how it puts the iPad in sleep mode when you cover the screen. It works as advertised.

protects my ipad all around...perfect cover for the ipad --comfortable to use ipad with the cover on ..lightweight but does the job

It doesn't add much weight to my iPad; it keeps it protected very well. My child has put it to the test.

Love this car. Very lightweight. Easy to hold iPad or prop iPad up. I have had several cases and this is my favorite hands down.

It protects the face from many things, I have traveled several times with this stowed in my backpack and it always comes out attached to the IPad. I did not think the magnets would hold as well as they do. I learned from watching someone else that you can set it at two angles, kind of, it is really just one angle and you can choose if you want it at the near 90, or turn it 180 and use it much more laid out.

I purchased the Apple cover with my first iPad. It is clever in design but it does not protect the back and the iPad can be had to hold on to. I returned it and bought a Targus Slim Case. The quality is high and it offer more protection.

It's magnetic, couldn't be any simpler to use. It serves as a great stand perfect for prolonged use. It provides great protection for the screen (I run a day care and the kids have handled it more than gently and the screen is still intact with no scratches) Of course I also have a screen protector and case to cover the back of the iPad.

Bought this for my wife as she grew tired of the oversized Otterbox defender we had on her iPad. I guess she wanted something more chic. We've had Smart Covers in the past, and they're OK but do nothing to protect the back side of the case, nor do they offer any protection if the iPad is dropped. The Smart Cover is a major improvement and upgrade. This covers the backside as well and may offer a little protection if it is dropped. Still no Otterbox or LifeProof but better than nothing.

The cover is a great protector of my I-Pad. I like the fact that it turns the tablet on and off with the magnetic cover.

It does exactly what it advertises. It covers your iPad. The functionality of having the iPad come to life when the cover is removed and then put to sleep when it is closed is very nice. Silly as this may sound, folding the cover to turn it into a stand was relatively tricky. Basically, it wasn't intuitive. I guess I probably should have read the instructions. All in all, this is an expensive, solid cover.

It protects my iPad screen and also It help as a support for the ipad making it easy for hand-free activities.

This case does the job. Protects the screen, is easy to grip, and is lightweight.

This is a great cover for an IPad. I like being able to fold it up and use it as a stand when I am typing notes in a meeting. The only problem I have with it is that it leaves streaks on the screen everytime I close it.
