Purchased the cover to protect the I-Pad. It was easy to install and functions as it should. The cover doubles and a prop for reading at an angle when placed on a flat surface.

Love that it keeps the iPad in sleep mode so it is always ready in an instant. Cover is easily knocked off but has not proved to be much of a problem as long as I am careful as to where I carry it in my purse.

Always consider a smart cover for your iPad arsenal of accessories. It's a must. This cover is great at fitting into my Incase sleeve. More protection is better.

This new cover works well. I upgraded from an iPad 1 with the older style case and still can't get used to the fact I don't have to shut it down manually. It's nice to be lazy sometimes.

This products a must have if you are thinking bout purchasing an Ipad3 it's a multi-purpose product....can be used as a 2nd screen protecting device....as well as a viewing aid for watchin movies or doing anything -Adrian-

I love this case. This is the second and hopefuly final case I have to buy for the iPad. I love how when you close or open it, the iPad unlocks.

When I purchased this for my refurbished iPad, I thought that I would simply put it on and forget about it. The one detail that no one mentions unless you do some digging is that Apple suggests you remove an 'i' device from its protective case when charging. Something about heat building up inside the case and shortening the battery's life. Apple is not the only one who suggests it. So called Apple experts how know about the recharging cycles of the battery say that the heat builds up inside the case when charging. Had I known this prior to purchase, I would have only bought the smart cover. Other than that, the case feels great in the hand and smart cover works as advertised.

This cover is really neat. Yes it works on the new iPad (iPad 3). While lounging at home trying to get the iPad comfortably propped up on thigh or leg, this cover does not have enough magnet power to stay on the edge. Rolled up, it does not have enough angle to work with comfortably. I feel this cover would be suited best for desk/table use. Some companies have snap on back covers that also snap around the swivel hing which would solve the problem of the cover falling off to easily. This would cost an additional $30-40 on top of the cost of this cover. The total would come to around $80... Kind of an expensive set-up. This obviously does to cover the back or sides. It does keep everything very thin and light tho. For what it is, just covering the front, I would give it a 4 stars. The magnet has medium strength and does not stay closed every time while carrying iPad. I've tried a couple of cases so far and this is my second favorite of 3. A must for protection and use, ease of removal is a cinch, multiple colors for you own desires of looks. Inside part of cover also helps keep screen clean.

This case fits great, but I had no confidence at all that it would protect my iPad in a drop scenario. I ended up getting a slightly bulkier leather case that was $20 cheaper than this one and more protective.

cleaver design making the cover multi-functional. still need to buy a back to protect ipad. too bad apple didn't think of the keyboard in the cover like Microsoft did for their new tablet...

At first I was expecting the case to have a hard, plastic case for the back of the iPad like the gen 2 cases have, as well as the metal hinge that connects to the pad magnetically. However, this case is connected to the cover in one glove like piece. It gives you that little more grip and protection that is needed to feel comfortable carrying your $500 plus tablet with one hand. This case won't do much for long drops though, and I'm afraid the "hinge" will rip or tear over time, due to it being only the same cloth material as the rest of the case.

Does what is says it will do. Not wild about the color, and I am not a fan of spending $70 for a leather one! Wish they still sold it in orange.

For the most part I like this cover; however, it does have a tendency to come off at inopportune times. The cover is attached to the unit by magnets which hold most of the time but not always.

Bought this smart case when I bought my iPad. Easy to install, and does a great job of protecting the iPad all around. Much better than the smart cover, which just protects the display, and not the backside of the iPad.

Simple packaging, simple to use, easy turn on/off of iPad using the cover.

I am happy with this cover, it is thin and stays on great! I love the way the ipad automatically comes on and goes off when you open and close the cover.

The cover is very nice looking and it protects the ipad well. The only flaw is that it is sometimes difficult to open it as it sticks to the glass a little too tight.

I've had this case for about a year now for my iPad 3rd gen. The case is still solid and working great, love the magnetic auto-lock and un-lock feature. I've heard a few people complain about the dock port not aligning correctly with the case. I've had no such problem and been charging my iPad in the case for as long as I've owned it. Overall great case, another great feature is the fact that no matter how rough I've been on it it has not one single scratch or scuff and the apple logo on the back of the case looks brand new. Only gripe is the boring blaaahh bland color choices you get to choose from. Thinking about picking up the product red case
