Love how it magnetically snaps on to the side of the iPad and then the technology of it when closing it turns the iPad into sleep mode. Not bulky at all.

Overall a very good case for the iPad. It looks nice, doesn't add a lot of bulk and covers the entire device. It's the Smart Cover, only better.

This one was a second cover that was purchased as a gift to someone else who has an iPad! So happy with the one that I bought for myself that I had to share in the experience!

I bought this because my wife's came from EBAY with one. It made sense to have it. You don't have to shut off your unit. It goes to sleep when you close the cover. Get one.

I am a big fan of slim cases. I don't want to add anymore bulk to my device than I have to, which this case doesn't. It's slim and simple, however it is not as functional as you would want. The ability to use it as a stand for upright viewing is useless. Also the angle isn't high enough, has a very meek incline for viewing. Otherwise the case offers full protection for your iPad and has all the right cut-outs and button placements.

This cover does the job that it was designed to do. Protection of the screen when not in use and good protection of the pad overall.

The dark gray smart covers came out around the 2011 holiday season, and they were a long time coming. For a while the light gray was the only option for someone who wanted a professional look but who didn't want the leather (for cost, durability, or moral reasons). I've also noticed that the microfiber on the bottom of the smart cover has been improved greatly over the light gray version that I had previously, this one is noticeably thicker and should provide better protection.

Got this free with my iPad2 purchase. Simple and elegant. Connects to the IPad through magnetic bar to body of iPad. It fits like a glove and triggers the screen to turn off when closed. My only complaint is that when kids use iPad it does not stay on. Needs a firmer connection. I would recommend for folks that dont want full enclosure. Perfectly paired with screen protector and does not block docking or charging.

I'm glad I chose this Smart Cover to protect my new iPad. Great investment for the longevity of my device. Just wish there was a better color selection.

Very easy to put on iPad and easy to take off. Makes it easy to place iPad in different positions for viewing.

It does exactly what it says it does. Great quality and very versatile. I've used it in all the configurations and it's really great. Definitely nothing "cheap" about it. It does add to the weight of the ipad a bit and can make it uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time without some form of support. But you can easily just pull the cover off. The magnets are perfect. I am looking at other cases that have keyboards built into them though, just to expand my options when traveling. But this is a great cover to have when you're around the house.

For a while, I stayed far away from the Smart Cover because of the high price. I got cheaper versions of this on Amazon instead, but they weren't all that great. The first was okay, but the second was rubbish. After trying a few other cases, I decided to give up and just get the real thing. It's still brand new, so I can't vouch for long-term use, but upon seeing it for the first time ON my iPad, it's definitely a lot better quality.

Works great, protects iPad, allows access to the ports & switches. The Smart Cover is nice, but the magnetic hinge CAN slip loose... This can't.

I like that it connects easily and when it is covering the screen, the ipad goes into sleep mode. Saving the battery life is a good thing.

Nice upgrade to the old Apple iPad cover that protects both front and back

I like this cover because it stays with the ipad and is not removable. When open you can easily use the rear camera function. I had a nice leather case which worked well but it was hard to use the camera and hold the case open just right. This case works great for that. The only negatice is that the cover folds and should prop up the iPad but it does not work as well at the removable iPad cover. I have all of these products and each serve a different purpose.
