This case is not designed for outside use. It's a simple, yet elegant design that feels high end. It's smooth and almost addicting to reach over and hold my iPad now. There's no assembly as the case magnetically attaches to the iPad. Its strong enough to hold the iPad Pro upside down for long periods of time without any slipping.

I really love that my smart folio is magnetic. My iPad easily places on it and has a strong hold.

mine came defective didn't know until is too late because i was out of state, i think very rare to get a defective open box.

The smart folio case gives you nice basic protection for the new iPad. If will definitely protect the front and back, but the frame is not really protected with this new magnetic design. This really doesn’t bother me as I’m not really a big case person so my iPad is usually naked. But, I do like having a case for when I do take my iPad with me on vacation or something like that. The lack of protection along the edges is a comprise I’m willing to take as the case keeps the very thin and sleek look of the new iPads, the magnets are very strong and the case does not move at all. Unlike other cases of similar designs (at least the Apple designed ones), when you flip it open the magnets hold the front cover to the back. This was something that would annoy me about other cases. The feel and quality is top notch. The only reason it isn’t five stars to me is the price, at $59 it would be a good buy, @ $79 it’s a bit expensive for what you get. Apple removed its logo from the back which some people may like. Overall the case feels extremely good in the hand and looks very sleek and nice on the iPad.

Began falling apart less than two months after I bought it. I purchased this while waiting for the survivor case from griffin. Complete waste of money. Can’t get a refund. Apple is aware of the problem and so is Best Buy.

The Smart Folio is a good option for those who want a slim case, and those who want to charge their Apple Pencil. The magnetic connection with the iPad and the back of the case is strong, and you don't worry about it falling out. Expensive for what it is, but its an Apple product.

Must have, great fit, well made, keeps the slim look, protects the back and front screen and stays secure with the magnetic open and closer that turns the iPad Pro 11 on when opened and off when closed. It does expose the edges , speakers, UBC-C port , sound and off buttons. It is not going to protect the iPad from heavy use or neglect. If so this case cover is not for.

Best case for my iPad. Has protection, functionality, and makes the iPad so much more mobile.

HelloOOOooo...Hey. Hey... Been using this cover with many ipads. cover turns ipad off when closed. Sweet. Nice sleek design that is not bulky. Pretty good as a stand but for sure could be better my opinion. Only as a stand in landscape mode I probably will not buy again, only because i find myself using portrait mode more and more frequently. Sleek design and removable ease of cover are the absolutes for me Gonna have to hunt around for the portrait stand option If looking for all around damage protection this would not be a good choice. I believe apple has a decent sleek case for that

The cover is a pretty penny but worth the price. Its so minimalist and snugs the iPad perfectly. Its magnetic and hold so well.

I always hesitate to buy the official Apple accessories since they’re so expensive, but the quality just isn’t matched elsewhere. The look, feel and functionality is always top notch and you notice the difference instantly. I do think they’re a little overpriced, but until there’s something comparable to the quality of these things, I’ll continue buying Apple accessories.

I have been using this cover for one year and could not be happier. The stand works fine and when you want to take a picture you just fold the section that covers the camera lens. Since I’m retired I use my iPad many times each day as well as take it with me. The case still looks like new. I have never had an issue with it coming off. The magnets do a good job. Highly recommend.

This is a really nice case for the new iPad Pro. It activates the device when opened and folds back into a stand. This cover attaches to the rear of the device using integrated magnets, so you don't have anymore of that "catch it around the edges" style case that can get in the way. Gives the device a sleek, polished feel. No keyboard, but does act as a stand for the iPad!

I miss the old cases. I preferred the two pieces, one for the body and the other magnetic one for the screen. With that being said, this is a pretty good option. i looked at some of the 3rd party cases out there. Most if not all looked cheaply made and had horrible reviews. This case is of quality material and with it I am not worried about damaging my expensive tablet. It is lightweight and I hardly notice it on there. I will say that folding the cover to get it to stand is a pain. I seem to recall a couple different configurations with the old covers that I could not get to work with the new one except for the one basic option. Or maybe it is just me and my memory sucks. Either way, still a decent case.

I have tried different covers for my iPad. This one does a good job covering my device. Apple did a nice job pairing the two. No additional bulk so that helps me when carrying in my Thule Attaché. Very happy with this.

Typical apple product, solid build quality but expensive. This is not your typical “Smart Cover”, it is a little different, hence the name “Smart Folio”. It covers both front and back! The magnet in the back is very strong. Doesn’t offer much drop protection but should be good for general use. Most of us are less likely to drop our iPads compared to our phones given the nature of its use. Can you think of the last time you dropped you iPad/tablet? Overall I love the design and the functionality of this case, it really accents the iPad’s minimalistic footprint. The downside of this case is the price, $80 is a bit steep for what it is. You can find very similar cases on amazon for under $25, but the issues with those now is the sleep/wake function of the front cover is a hit or miss. Im sure that will change quickly over time. For now, I’m very pleased with the case and new iPad Pro!

This is a replacement cover for an older one I had. I really enjoy how many different ways I can prop up the ipad to type, watch movies and so forth! Feels nice in my hands too!

This cover is perfect for the I Pad Pro. It keeps the screen protected and is not bulky. All buttons have east access with the cover and it Oslo has a fold up stand built in.
