I thought my phone was broken but I just needed to buy a genuine apple charger. This block works great!

This power block for Apple products adapts your USB cable to a typical Edison (US) electric outlet. It is small, comfortable to handle, and is reliable. When plugging your USB cable into it, the side of the plug with the seam on it faces the smaller face section. See photo.

This is a power adapter produced by Apple, which means it produces an appropriate current to charge my iOS devices (iPhones in particular, although it can be used with an iPad; it just takes longer to charge). It is a compact size and works well. I have never had an issue with an Apple-branded USB power adapter, which makes it worth any premium I pay over generic equivalents. Personally, I find it convenient to have a couple of these lying around for the sake of convenience.
