Apple really stands behind their AppleCare! My son accidentally left his iPad on the roof of his car 3 weeks after he got it. It flew off as he was getting on the highway and was almost completely destroyed. AppleCare covered the replacement! He got a brand new one with no problem after we brought in the broken one. We were all pleasantly surprised and will get AppleCare every time from here on out!

I have always bought Apple Care for my more expensive Apple Care devises. Thankfully, I have only had to use it once, and that was when I accidentally dropped my phone on my iPad and it cracked the screen. Having the Apple Care helped my get a new iPad for a fraction of the cost of having to pay the full price for a new one. Plus, it helps fund Apple's excellent customer service. Great customer service has always been more important to me than a cheap price. And Apple has always provided great customer service whenever I needed it. They are the gold standard for customer service is the electronics industry IMHO.

The price of technology keeps going up every year, and so does the cost to repair things. AppleCare+ is amazing for the price, esp. when compared to what you get from other companies.
Whether an iPad, MacBook, iPhone or Mac it's worth investing a few extra bucks to cover your item in the event of an accident. The only items I don't use AppleCare+ for is the HomePods. Those are stationary on tables and are far less likely to get broke.
The plan is far better that what the mobile carriers offer.. so don't waste your time or money and just go with AppleCare+.

Purchased this over a year ago but never had an accident and my device is still going strong.. Do i regret paying for the extra few dollas on protection?? DEFINITELY NOT. My peace of mind is very importand and I can use my ipad anytime and can carry it anywere without the fear of losing it or breaking it. I know I am covered and that makes me realise the real value of my ipad than limiting my use to indoors only. If you have an apple product Apple care is a must!!!

If you own, or are thinking about owning, an Apple product, you’ve probably wondered if the company’s add-on product protection service, AppleCare+, is worth the price. With how costly iPhones, Macs, and other Apple devices are, is it worth paying yet another chunk of change on top just for peace of mind?
Like most modern electronics, Apple’s artillery of smartphones, computers, wearables, and other gadgets are filled to the brim with premium components (and often nestled inside fragile glass). So naturally, it’s not surprising to hear that it can cost a lot to fix them.
For example, screen replacement on an iPhone 11 Pro Max without any sort of supplemental coverage costs $329. That’s a steep price to pay and a solid chunk of your phone’s original purchase price. But with AppleCare+, you’ll only have to pay $29 in addition to the plan’s upfront or monthly cost. That’s a pretty good deal.
Even if you’re the most careful person, accidents can still happen. It only takes one clumsy cat or reckless neighbor to mess things up. Paying a little each month for coverage can be a little less painful than needing to pay a big sum at once to replace an entire device (or even just part of a device). So we’re taking a look to see what exactly AppleCare+ is, which devices it covers, and whether or not it’s worth the extra investment.

I just purchased my eighth iPad since the product was first introduced in 2010 (three of those purchases were gifts for family members and the other five were for myself). And for the seventh time, I spent the extra $99 to add AppleCare+ protection for it.
Why did I fork out the extra dollars? Well, while the iPad is a wonderful device, it also is fragile. I have broken all but one of my previous iPads at least once. The first time I broke one, I did NOT have AppleCare+ protection. I came to regret that decision, and have bought it ever since.
Under AppleCare+, when you take your iPad into an Apple Store for repair, they will either repair or replace it on the spot. In the case of a broken screen (which is what I have had in most instances), they will charge a relatively small deductible, and voila, in short order, you either will have a repaired device (if that is possible) or a new one.
There are other options out there to protect your device; some credit cards provide protection, some retailers offer protection plans, and sometimes one's homeowner policy will cover you). But if you live near an Apple Store, are accident-prone, and plan to keep your device for more than a year, AppleCare+ is a good buy that provides both a great value and peace of mind.

Haven't had to use it yet (thank gosh)..Purchased 8/2016....Did read through though and for $99.00(US) for 2 years and it gives you 2 (two) screen repairs 1 (one) per year(50.00 fee each).Also includes troubleshooting, set up, some form of maintenance(can't recall at the moment) as well as extending the warranty for certain defects...In my opinion it is well worth 100.00 for the piece of mind as 1 screen repair for the Air-pad2 averaged about 150.00....YOU CAN GET YOUR SCREEN REPAIRED CHEAPER ,HOWEVER WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU IS THAT IF YOU DO GET IT REPAIRED BY SOMEONE OTHER THAN APPLE OR A AUTHORISED APPLE AGENT IT DOES VOID YOUR WARRANTY!!!!! ( I learned that lesson with an I-pod screen repair )

My 1st iPad Pro 12.9" came in and it had some odd glitch that literally had me resting the iPad after every step during installation. Imagine, enter 4 digit code, it freezes, reset, do it again, fingerprint, freeze, reboot, do it again, now its the fingerprint edge, same thing. I had that feeling in my gut this iPad was broke from the moment it sluggishly booted up. 10 hours later after speaking to Apple, reading articles I finally called it quits with the instructions to bring it in to an Apple Store. The guy looked it up, noticed I had the Apple care and decided not to ask questions. I explained in a super slimmed down version of the issue, but he said "you just want the same one and you had Apple care". Then proceeded to refund the iPad & Apple care onto a gift card, then reordered Apple care and the new iPad then and there. Of course I didn't have to use Apple care but knowing this could have happened in 18 months to a thousand dollar machine and all I would have to pay is $149 and it's replaced is a relief! I drop things! Not worth the chance, cases or not.

As an Apple product user for over a decade, I highly recommend and encourage all owners to invest in Apple Care. From iPods to iPads, I have used Apple Care for all of my products. The quality and the easy access to customer service or technical support is essential. Especially for my iPhone, I was amazed that my Apple Care protection helped me get a new phone at no cost the same day that I requested the support when I was having technical issues with a former phone. This purchase I made at Best Buy was for a gift of an iPad for my niece, which I am so glad I chose to do. With Apple Care, you can rest assured that your device is protected. After a large purchase, peace of mind that the device is covered is what consumers need. Thank you Best Buy for offering this along with my device purchase!

AppleCare is usually a little on the expensive side, but I feel the price is worth it! I usually buy it for all of my Apple stuff, and have only had to use it with 2 items so far. My wife's Apple Watch battery started bloating a little over a year after getting it for her, and they completely replaced the watch with a new one. My son's mini-iPad, which he dropped, was also fully replaced after being sent out for repair.
AppleCare is well worth the price, even if you never have to use it. It is good peace of mind. I can't say that about all extended warranties out there.

I GOT my apple Care when i BOUGHT my iPhone XR AT Best Buy Store, same PRICE as when you get it at Apple Store, but the most import about this, when you have to use it, Apple Store has a long wait list for over a week than best Buy, (geek squad Team it's amazing). I replaced FRONT Screen for $29 (XR) only and $99 for crack rear shell on (XMAX). If BB have a extra phone same as yours in the store, they give it to you, otherwise they order a new or refurbished ONE to replace it as APPLE STORE DOES,

I am not big on paying the extra cost for protection plans. But the cost of an iPad and the potential rough handling it may be subjected to leads me to the purchase. One year into use of my iPad Pro it started intermittently doing weird things. Made an appointment at the local Apple Store, ran them through the diagnostic routine. They confirmed my diagnosis and since there was no evidence of abuse, gave me a new unit. My only issue is that they did not pay for a new screen protector.

Why, well mister clumsy here dropped his mini Ipad about a year after he got it.... Thanks to my better half for insisting on paying for the AppleCare+ (which I thought was not needed) I was able to get a new replacement....
All good now, except now I have to hear "I told you so" from the other half......
