I have had no occasion to use the care plan. I bought it, not because I expect any trouble, but the help I received with my previous Mac Pro was to easy and satisfying that i wanted to make sure I have the same opportunities for help as in the past.

Apple care is always a good idea to get with ANY Apple product. It gives you the capability of calling the Apple Support team online. They’re fantastic! They can answer all or any of your questions or set you up with someone else who can help further if they don’t know.

So far i haven't have to use it. But, it is better to have it and not use it, than need it and not have it.

I have been a BEST BUY customer for as long as I can remember! I don't buy any product without a protection plan. The plans have litterly save my time and money multiple times. I simply get my items fixed or replaced. Just that simple.

Total upgrade from my Intel processor MacBook with the new M style chip from Apple.
And with this new black cover it’s totally a new experience with my MacBook Air. And just when I thought Apple wasn’t about to change anything… I got this sweet surprise. Thank you Apple.

Don’t waste your money. 100% of the burden and cost is on the consumer with all the convenience on their end, and none on the customers’. I travel and need my laptop with me at all times during work. Therefore, there’s more likelihood of an accident occurring, and I religiously buy insurance. This laptop/insurance purchase was no exception. Unfortunately I did drop my laptop, and cracked the screen in the top corner. Nothing too crazy - It had a case on it, but fell just right. I brought it in and was told I need to make another appointment for only 2 1/2 hours later, so I asked if I could leave my computer with them since I was already there, the appointment was on the near future, and I had the computer with me. They again said no, due to apparent storage issues. (??? - It’s a laptop. Not a refrigerator). I then asked if I could use curbside and drop it off at my allotted appointment time since I had plans that night and could swing by on my way, with others in the car. They said no. I needed to bring it into the store in person, at 7:20 PM (or 11:40 the next day in the middle of work) and meet with a customer service rep from the Geek Squad. That made me wonder why I had to go through the whole meeting (20 min). It was moot - it wasn’t a complicated diagnostic issue. Slightly cracked screen with no guesswork and no sales pitch necessary. I purchased insurance with the laptop and this is a necessary fix, so why the meeting? I offered to sign a waiver stating they could go ahead and fix anything needed with my permission. They said no due to passwords and whatnot. I offered to leave my password with them. They said no. That made me wonder if it really is insured as well as the salesman had inferred when I initially purchased the plan. That’s a big fat no. So, 2 1/2 hours later, I’m back in the same, empty store, with my computer, for the mandatory Geek Squad meeting. Even with Apple+ and Best Buy membership, there’s a $100 deductible with any accidents. So, I have to wonder, why would I purchase insurance? The computer already is covered for hardware issues so that’s not necessary. I bought the computer new so it’s not refurbished. I purchased insurance for those UNPLANNED ACCIDENTS. These, I now well know, aren't fully covered. And to drive the point home, I was also asked to sign that I understand my data could be lost while being serviced. Conveniently, and of course for another fee, they kindly offered to back up my information. Shouldn’t that be part of the protocol if they know they may lose my info while servicing my computer via insurance? Finally, I was informed that they will call me to let me know if there will be other costs once they’re able to really look at it. So, in other words, after 2 trips in less than 3 hours, I had to give up my computer to them for an unforeseeable amount of time, with more potential hidden costs, and I’m basically at their mercy because I’m tethered to technology and Best Buy holds the trump card. AKA my computer. Never again will I buy NON-accident insurance from Best Buy.
And just as a side note, I’ve gone with other insurance carriers who let customers make a claim online, they send a box to mail the computer, and they fix and return it within less than a week for less cost in the long run, or they credit you the price of the computer. Lesson learned.

Two weeks after I purchased my first MacBook Air I dropped it and ruined the display (user error). Apple care saved me At least a few hundred on repairs! Especially with kiddos, invest in apple care for certain.

I mean personally, I haven't had to use my Apple care for my computer but I recommend getting it in case anything happens! You never know what will happen in the future to your computer and I think you rather be safe then sorry tbh.
