I ordered a new slide in range and asked for assistance regarding installation potential fit. Two guys came out and did measurements and said they would get back to me with information regarding the fit or other suggestions. No one called or followed up regarding my questions, whether it would fit or any suggestions. Since no one followed up with me, I had to cancel my order for the new range.

On site survey failed to discover the recommended cook top oven needed to be 30" wide and instead kept the 36" wide cook top which would not have fit in our allotted space. This would have delayed our installation and caused an unnecessary reordering of a new appliance.

Did not really do a thorough survey as later installation required some modifications.

Two gentlemen showed and one was beyond rude and arrogant. We were told that reps from Best Buy would show up to determine if our appliances (dishwasher and microwave) were repairable or if we needed new appliances. We were not told they were to show up "only" to do measurements. We tried to explain that to the lead guy, the gentleman who did the talking (the other was quiet and said nothing) but he was unwilling to listen. He just kept saying" I know how to do my job." Our experience with Best Buy has always been very good, with this one exception. The gentleman who booked the appointment should also be faulted because we made it quite clear, we need to see if our appliances were fixable.

Great service from Geek Squad when the team came out to pre-measure the countertop for the new cooktop that I'll have installed.

It isn't Geek Squad or Best Buy that does the site survey. They use At Your Service, who in my situation did not do a proper measurement for a range hood that is still not installed 6 months later (originally purchased in February but delayed due to CV-19) after 2 units had to be returned and the next unit was not in inventory. Maybe by August I'll finally get a replacement unit. It's a good concept to have a Best Buy advisor come to your house and make a recommendation. Neither Lowe's nor Home Depot has anything similar. If dealing with just Best Buy it might work, but bringing in another entity just complicates it. In addition, they don't talk to each other, so expect a ton of emails/texts from both on when someone will actually show up for a 2-4 hour appointment window.

They did a great job and helped us plan for the installation. Ultimately, they did the installation as well.
