Great service from Geek Squad when the team came out to pre-measure the countertop for the new cooktop that I'll have installed.

I didn't have a great experience with the Site Survey for our new wall oven. The surveyors didn't seem to have the information about the oven that we ordered, and when they got it from me, they told me that I needed to cut the hole for the new oven a 1/2" wider. Fine. But, they said it would be a $75 charge per cut for the installers to do this. And, they said there would be an additional $150 charge for the electrical wiring to be redone. I'm wondering what the Installation Fee even covers at this point. In the end, I did the cuts myself in order to save $150. When the oven installers actually came, they did not charge the $150 electrical fee, and they actually helped me to install a new breaker. The Site Survey did not notice that the new oven required a 40 amp breaker, but we only had a 30 amp breaker for the old oven. The installers went above and beyond. The Site Survey - not so much.

These guys were great very polite and full of information for my questions.

By having the Geek Squad come out and measure it avoided any problems. I recommend the free service from BestBuy.

On site survey failed to discover the recommended cook top oven needed to be 30" wide and instead kept the 36" wide cook top which would not have fit in our allotted space. This would have delayed our installation and caused an unnecessary reordering of a new appliance.

Tech was on time. I had already prepped the area so the site survey took less than 10 minutes.

This was a third party service and I hope Best Buy stops using them as contractors. The arrival window was 3:30pm - 7:30pm, July 21st. At 1:14pm (before the arrival window), I get a text and email saying the agent is on the way and will be there at 1:25pm. I rush over and nobody shows up and then my dashboard updates and it say that the service was completed successfully, which was not the case. I called and texted the numbers provide to me several times, with no answer.

Two gentlemen showed and one was beyond rude and arrogant. We were told that reps from Best Buy would show up to determine if our appliances (dishwasher and microwave) were repairable or if we needed new appliances. We were not told they were to show up "only" to do measurements. We tried to explain that to the lead guy, the gentleman who did the talking (the other was quiet and said nothing) but he was unwilling to listen. He just kept saying" I know how to do my job." Our experience with Best Buy has always been very good, with this one exception. The gentleman who booked the appointment should also be faulted because we made it quite clear, we need to see if our appliances were fixable.

This is a review of the site surveys prior to install of a new fridge. I received two site surveys. Both times, I was instructed the space for my intended fridge needed to be extended height wise. Both teams of surveyors informed me there was not other foreseeable problem. Come install day, the install team inform me they could not complete the installation because the width is too wide and thus they could not anchor my appliance as per their guidelines. This added considerable frustration, time, and inconvenience to the process.

Did not really do a thorough survey as later installation required some modifications.
