The device worked well for cloning my laptop's old hard drive to the new one I bought to replace it. As it says somewhere (I cannot remember where at the moment), it only works with 2.5 inch drives, not 3.5 inch. The software worked well, though some of the options were a little vague. During the copy operation, most of the screen was blacked out, so I couldn't see what was happening. I just let it run, and it finished successfully.

This cable helped me get out of a bind, however, it wasn't cheap. This is definitely overpriced at $40. You can definitely find cheaper ones online but if you're in need of a quick fix and do not have time to wait for one to be mailed, this will do the job.

Took only seconds to recover photos from another hard drive and copy them to my mac.

I used this to transfer data from 500 gb hard drive to 120 ssd. Much easier to use than a enclosed hhd .

Installed SSD myself was easy and worked better than expected. SSD drive TRANSFER CABLE moved 700gig in about 40 min. No problems. Operating System and files all worked. I have used other data transfer devices that did ok but this is better and fast. USB3 great!!!

The transfer cable transfers data as advertised. Included software if very basic, but gets the job done. Price is a little steep, though.

Ostensibly got this to read a desktop hard drive temporarily. It didn’t work. However, it does make reading laptop drives easy as you don’t have to put them in a HD case. So it’s still a win for me!

The product looks rather straightforward plug and play drop the disc load the software good to go and for the most part it is. However If I remember correctly you have to load the software first (no big deal), but I already had the drive that I wanted to use connected but it didn't recognize it, unplugged the drive, plugged it back in the software saw it and done.

Needed a transfer cable to clone my hdd to my new ssd. This is the only one they had in stock at the time. It works on windows 10. It was a little too expensive which is why I only gave it 4 stars

software is a bust, but with better software it would work perfectly

I was about to rip recovery disks so I could install a SSD drive and make it my primarily drive while keeping the HDD drive as a secondary one. This sata cable and software made the clone and whole process extremely easy. Directions are very easy to follow.
