I am saddened by the new wave of not supporting 3d movies. The lack of support here in the states has been disappointing. I was happy to see WB and Best Buy had this movie available in 3D. Except for the fact WB decided to not include IMAX or Atmos to this version it is the only way to watch this movie. The amount of depth and pop make the viewing experience so immersive you forget you are dry, watching from the safety of your living room.

DC and James Wan have stepped up their games for this one. This is the most ambitious comic-book movie I've ever seen, so far. The cinematography, visuals and action scenes are visually stunning and breathtakingly beautiful. All of the cast were outstanding. They hit a home run when Jason Momoa was cast to play the lead and Amber Heard to bring Mera to life. The special features on this disc were great too but I think there should have been at least as much about the female characters as the male. All in all - it's a keeper. Don't miss it!

I had mixed expectations about this movie which is why I waited for the disc before I saw it. Buying it in the Steelbook format was a forgone conclusion since I always love the construction, design, and being "old school" I like holding it in my hands. Aquaman Steelbook is a great as the others in this regard. For the film, it was so much fun! Not the most intriguing or complex of storylines, but very, very enjoyable. Jason Momoa is so fun to watch on screen and many of the supporting cast were great to have too - I'm a big Willem Defoe fan.

Jason Momoa as Aquaman is excellent. They seriously picked the right person to play Aquaman even in Justice League he upstaged just about everybody will just the small party had. And Aquaman he proved that he is the person to be Aquaman. Storyline is is very good could be a little bit better all the other actors playing in this very well picked to play their parts. The CGI the special effects absolutely fantastic. I think the only way this story could have been better was maybe to explain a couple certain things a little bit more in depth. Nicole Kidman playing Arthur Curry's mom was a great pick. Nicole Kidman does bring a certain amount of class to serve rolls and she did bring the class to this role. Like Wonder Woman Aquaman stepped-up where Justice League could not it's a definite must have if your a DC fan.

I loved this movie simple story about overthrowing a evil king so the real king can rise the 4k itself was gorgeous I have a 55 inch 930 e it was bright colorful looked incredible if your a comic book fan or love dc films pick this up well worth it hope we get a sequel

This was such a good movie, I saw it twice in the theater. Full disclosure, I usually like superhero movies but I don't give them a blanket pass. In my opinion, everything about this movie was well done, I can't think of one thing that took away from the experience. There was a small bit of drinking in the beginning of the movie so if you're a parent of young ones, you may want to check parental guides online before jumping in blind. My kids are grown so I don't watch/catch things as much as I used to. Still, excellent movie.

I really enjoyed this movie although I think I would've liked it better if they didn't make the ocean world seem so huge and powerful in numbers - like human have no idea they exist, yet they seem to number in millions? And they didn't do a great job explaining how they have these abilities underwater or why they are so powerful - are they human or not? Some irritating plot devices and plot holes - "they have unlimited energy and that's why they are able to breathe underwater and control fish" - huh? But overall I think Jason Momoa was really good as Aquaman and they helped the movie immensely. I enjoyed the plot and the movie until the end (I felt like the final battle was something for star wars - not the under the water). Overall a good not great movie.

Everyone will have their opinion, but overall this wasn’t that great of a movie. They tried to make Aquaman the Thor of the underwater with also a similar type personality wrapped with humor but it didn’t work out so well. Besides that, this movie does have some fine computer graphics and special effects. On 4K Blu-ray, the visuals are nothing short of spectacular. I saw this in the theater and still bought it knowing it wasn’t that great but had to see the movie on 4K HDR and I was not disappointed. As regards the steel book, Best Buy steelbooks have become cheaper and flimsier than they once were so I would skip it. They are definitely a step down in quality. I’m not speaking to artwork but actual build quality of the steel book itself. I recommend getting the regular 4K disc with the black case.

Was this movie perfect? Nope. It was actually a little cheesy at times, but the action was enjoyable and Jason Mamoa was great as Aquaman. The worst parts included the dialogue and trying to force in a villain that didn't need to be there (yet). But even with the negatives it was an enjoyable movie. On top of that the steelbook looks great. It had a comic book like feel to th graphics which I enjoyed. And one more thing. The 4k visuals were stunning (especially the underwater scenes). It's worth getting for that alone.

I loved this movie in the theater. And now it looks even better in 4k HDR. I was worried at first that an Aquaman film wouldn't be very interesting. But with DC's new approach to the universe with Wonder Woman and now Aquaman, they really have embraced letting each character be there own. And like all Best Buy exclusive steelbook cases, this one is amazing. I love collecting all these cases. And I can't wait to see what DC does with the next Batman and Superman films. But for God's sake, please find a new Flash.

I was a bit skeptical about a tattooed, long (not blonde) haired Jason Momoa carrying off Arthur Curry but he's made the role his own. The set up with his parental back story made you root for him and the motives of the two main bad guys were well established. The scope of the underwater battle scenes was epic and fast paced and it was fanboy rewarding to see how he finally earns his iconic costume. I still think DC has a way to go to catch up to Marvel, but this is certainly a step in the right direction.

What a fun ride!!! Jason Momoa as Aquaman was a terrific choice. The film has the feel of a graphic novel with the CGI imagery of color and creatures. The sound is superb. When played through my sound system, it was nearly as good as in the theatre. I enjoyed the 2nd viewing as much as the first. Wan did a wonderful job directing the ensemble cast of extremely talented actors. I highly recommend this film to those who enjoy a break from more serious films and looking for an adventure into a fantasy world.

Coming fresh off the events happening in Justice League, Arthur Curry must now address his role of heir to the throne of Atlantis and return back to his underwater nation to deal with his rejection of Atlantis, his dead mother, and an new foe that wants to avenge his father’s death. Jason Momoa plays up the main character very well and the rest of the cast are exceptional with their roles as well. Lots of great suspense and action throughout will make you cheer and mourn at the same time. Recommended.

The Aquaman physical release has a good amount of special features to make it worth while if you enjoyed the film. Lots of behind the scene footage, pre-production work, and a general good attitude from the crew. My favorite is probably the mini documentary hosted by Dolph Lundgren going over the different underwater kingdoms using both the details from the movie and the comics. The one improvement I wish the disc had was some sort of audio commentary track, but not worth taking off a star for that.

Aquaman is a very entertaining movie with something for all ages. It is a refreshing departure from the 'dark' superhero movies that are typical of this genre. This movie has adventure, fantasy, humor, human interest, and a great cast. Aquaman is an origins story where Jason Momoa plays a reluctant hero who rises up to do the right thing. Jason Momoa has appeared in two other DC movies as Aquaman, but in this one, he finally debuts in the famous Aquaman costume to the delight of fans.

Aquaman is a great installment in the DC Comics movie universe and really takes your breath away with gorgeous underwater special effects, amazing fight sequences, and really fun adventure story that throws you into a who new world. Seeing it on crystal clear 4K UHD is just stunning and the improved sound quality is tremendous. It also comes packed with over an hour of in-depth special features and a digital copy of the film. If you’re a fan of superhero movies, this is a “Must Own”

While DC will probably never catch up to the momentum and success of Marvel, they have managed to put out a few decent films in their attempt to present their universe. While most of these have been sub-par, Aquaman turned out to be one of the good ones. It’s a fresh take on the Atlantian character, and does a good job with dazzling effects that make a long run time seem shorter than it is. If you’re going to watch any of the recent DC productions, this should be one of them.

Talk about Brilliant, Vibrant Gorgeous colors! Details in the dark scenes are presented with great clarity thanks to the Dolby Vision 12/bit HDR. No trouble discerning the clues in the underwater scenes which are extensive. Lots of CGI and effects in this film presented with excellent quality and clarity. Loved it and can't wait to see it a third time! The Dolby Atmos Soundtrack is very active and complimentary to the flow of the film. The 4K UHD is a joy for the whole family!

Aquaman has always been the joke of the “Super Friends” to me anyway. When it was first announced that Jason Mamoa was bringing this character to life on the big screen, I thought to myself, “Aquaman won’t be a joke anymore!!” This movie was awesome in my opinion. A great addition to the DCEU. I’m a fan of the DCEU. Though there have been some films that coulda been better, Aquaman keeps the DCEU going with this great story, characters and awesome effects. Highly recommend!!
