My expectation were exceeded! I really liked having the option to play different pinball games. I was glued to it for hours. I still drop by to see if I can beat my score. Feels like playing a real pinball. Cool for the man cave or dorm room or family room. However you roll.

I have previously put together a SW pinball cab and didn't experience this issue however on my AFM table it appears the people at the factory decided to not file down the metal edges to make them smooth and I found this out the hard way. When removing the legs from their plastic covering, the edges of the metal were so sharp that they sliced open my fingers. Luckily it wasn't deep enough to rush to the hospital. I also noticed that the chrome metal edge on top of the playfield holding down the monitor is also sharp on this cabinet. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I thought A1U was trying to market their products for family use. Having sharp metal edges that will cut you doesn't seem very family friendly to me. As far as the games go there's a good selection. Did notice a little lag on White Water. Also the gyro doesn't detect nudging much at all to be useful, some buttons on the side for nudging would have been better.

This is a "really good BUT..." type thing. Let's start with the thing that's most right; this cabinet. It looks beautiful. The graphics are great, the chrome is great, the overall feeling of it is just.... spot on. It feels and looks like a pinball machine, and if you were just purchasing it for the cabinet to further mod, it's probably worth it, even as a 3/4 cab. In terms of implementation, this uses Zen's software at a lower resolution (probably because it's not as fully powered as it should be), and every table but one runs well (Whitewater is, tragically, unplayable) or well enough. If you're looking for a "works (mostly) out of the box and has 100% proper licensing" device, this is a good way to get 9 great Williams tables that you can enjoy. It's not perfect, so if you're also looking to modify it and say, run your licensed tables from Pinball FX3 via Steam on a gaming PC you fit in here, then you'll find good support out there for modifying the device. I think that for either audience, it's a good choice.

Buyer Beware priced to High for the Value.

This Pinball machine has to many flaws to be priced at $850. Know issue with Whitwater table being unplayable and flipper lag on some tables is well recorded with Arcade1up and they have yet to fix this unit. After playing this table the last few days I would say a good purchase price would be $450 to $500. Buyer beware and proceed with caution at any price above $500.

Absolutely love it but the plunger ball launcher quit working about 2 months after getting. Have an appointment for them to fix it soon. Been using the button launcher but not as good and cant wait until it is fixed and working right.

I love this machine. So much fun and very nostalgic for those of us who grew up with pinball arcades. It has great sound, sweet plunger and pretty nice bumper haptics. It is smaller than I thought, which is fine. I wish the screen was a little bigger and better resolution. When you start to play, you forget it's a sim. I could nit pick, but I honestly think it is pretty great and I did get it on sale, which makes it even better. She's a keeper. Also looks great in the room! Oh, and be advised, some assembly required.

So as an owner of many arcade1up products I must say that AFM is middle ground. With White Water being bugged along with slight flipper sound lag, many people myself included getting a bad g-sensor (accelerometer) and having to open a ticket it is not the best out of box product by them to date. Now if you have a love of the tables on there I would say it is still worth buying as the problems are fixable and they are working on a patch. If you want a cheap vpin to add to your collection or to start off I would point more towards the Star Wars or Marvel depending on which franchise you like more, though Marvel feels more unique to me. Overall AFM is a 3 star product, even if it was out of the box perfect because of the solenoid placement you get next to zero actual haptic feel (can be fixed by moving them yourself) the most this could ever be is a 4 star. Arcade 1 up has room for improvement and if a second generation comes out and they fix just a few little issues these could be a top of the line 5 star machine. I would like to note while many do not like the plexi and opt for glass it was not a point changer for me. If you are under 5'6" or taller than 6'3" I guess it is quite annoying as it has a rainbow lined effect. So to end yes they are fun despite the issues and against the price point of other Vpins it is the best for entry level. However unless you want them all or love those old tables do think about Marvel and Star Wars as they are actual digital pins not a converted type. Note: I play AFM more than I do my Marvel or Star Wars but my kids and wife play Marvel the most.

This would be a five star review if the software on the unit worked properly. One game is broken and at least one other needs to be adjusted for playability. Supposedly there is a patch coming but with no wifi I don't know how hard that will be. Otherwise not looks great. Attack From Mars and Medieval Madness play wonderfully. The sound is excellent. The solenoids add to the realism. I did replace the plexi with real glass.

Compact unit fits well in my basement. Video pinball at its best! Some of these units experience CPU heat related issues but with minor modifications mine has survived a long time. Awesome! A must have for any pinball guru!

It’s pinball, just digital! This machine is a ton of fun, it gives you amazing digital recreations of 10 different real world classic pinball machines, including White Water, Medieval Madness and the namesake Attack From Mars. It’s very well built and looks very nice in your living room, den or “man cave”. If you enjoy pinball you’ll enjoy this machine.

My family and I are having so much fun playing this Pinball Machine. Included is 9 more games besides Attack from Mars. I also own a real, full size pinball machine and honestly we enjoy the Arcade1Up Digital Pinball more. I did not find any problems as others found with the older Attack from Mars Pinball Machine or games. It's Great!

This is not my first Arcade 1up piece if hardware. I own the Galaga, Street Fighter, TMNT(1st release) and the Star Wars pinball. While they have improved in quality over time, they still have glaring issues. For one the monitors they use are lower quality you would expect to find as a bargain Black Friday pc screen. I have upgraded the ones on my arcade machines to 19” Dell 4:3. Colors now more vibrant and less gray more black. The issue with this one specifically is that you really need to dload and run the firmware update. And as easy as they make the instructions, it is not going to be simple for the average person. This update helps what I will simply call “lag” (as that is what the average person will think when they experience it). Two of the tables are frustratingly difficult due to this. The Syar Wars table didnt seem to suffer any of this. Its too bad because my mom loved these older pinball games over the more chaotic(her words) Star Wars tables. The Marvel tables may be the better designed ones though. Check out the games lists of the 3, go try them on Pinball FX via PC, Xbox, PS4/5 or switch first to see which tables you like the best then if you still want to spend 600+ on these, you will at least know if you like the digital pinball tables within each of these.

Great little machine here. Small form factor doesn't compromise comfort, and fits in just about any space. Really fun tables and great performance. Force feedback really creates an authentic experience. Definitely worth checking out if you want a really solid virtual pinball experience.

Overall it’s a cool and reasonably priced virtual pinball cabinet. Things they could improve: - Screen quality - has a 1080p monitor but runs games at 720p. - Solenoids - as currently mounted, you barely feel them, there is a simple free mod to make them better you can find on YouTube. - Tables - they have some classics, but they could have offered more or a way to purchase additional ones.
