    The first few weeks I had this camera I was disappointed because it had serious lag and some of the features would freeze. Since then they have sent new firmware updates that allow super speeds as long as your viewing device is on the same wifi network. I also upgraded my Wifi router to the Linksys Velop and the camera now works perfectly. Every feature works as advertised.

    While the camera does everything that is announced for. The strength of the wifi Is very bad, and I have to reboot the cameras several times. All my other devices do not have a problem in the area where I located the camera, however baby arlo does have an issue. Once the camera stops working you have to trouble shoot in person, disconnect turn off the battery and wait for the reboot. The app for all my other cameras does not integrates the arlo baby , instead of adding it to the network of cameras, arlo is setup as an individual entitty, so if you want to arm all your house cameras at once, it will not include the arlo baby camera. It still has much work to do and for the price tag I would say to wait for the next generation.

    I love the fact that you can control the camera via cell phone and speak to my baby! I have also used this as a general motion camera at times. Its a great product and well worth the price for all the bells and whistles.

    I like the quality and the image is very clear. The app is nice with clear audio and the notifications are great, but it really needs a monitor to use at all times, not so handy to monitor over the phone.

    Picture quality is decent however live view lags at times. I have fios gigabit connection so it shouldn’t be an internet speed issue. Don’t know what it could be.

    The biggest complaint I heard/read about was the delay in video. Ours averages about a 2-4 second lag. We don't really mind... not sure why this is such a big deal to everyone. We use Arlo for our home monitoring and we couldn't wait for baby Arlo to come out!

    If I could give this product less than 1 star I would. It disconnects constantly throughout the day, has a tremendous lag time, up to 1 minute, and Arlo customer service is absolutely terrible. THey will keep transferring you from rep to rep who ask the same questions over and over again about your router. Will suggest any time the Arlo baby doesn't connect that you should just reset everything, which works great at 3 a.m. with an infant. They won't offer refunds, and actually require a credit card just to get a replacement product. I'll never buy another NetGear product.

    When we first hooked this up it worked great for our kid and was great monitoring temp, sounds and movement. For some strange reason it quit working about a month ago and since it is out of 1 year warrenty no replacement so it is a nice desk weight now. I would look elsewhere for a camera that is more reliable then this camera.

    It does the job, it does let you know when there is sound in the room, this is better than the motion part of the camera for a babies room.

    I like other arlo products so I was excited to see they had a baby monitor coming out. I waited months to buy this. They finally released it but probably should have kept working on it for a few more months. It's got everything I wanted except it doesn't work like it's supposed to. It will disconnect from wifi randomly. I have great wifi and it wasn't the distance from the router as I tried it NEXT to my router on night. Still would lose signal. Arlo customer service and trouble shooting were no help. They said they didn't know why it would do that. The only way to get it working again was to reset the whole thing. Another problem I have is they were supposed to come out with a parent unit. To my knowledge this still is not available and was supposed to. E out in July. This would make the camera usable WITHOUT wifi.

    Had a generic monitor prior to purchasing the arlo. I Had heard great things about this baby monitor. Unfortunately this product did not live up to expectations. The connection would come and go, which would drive my wife crazy especially with a newborn. Returned this product and went back to the trustworthy generic monitor.

    Do NOT purchase for use without Internet

    This camera was originally purchased due to the fact that Netgear had advertised the release of a "direct connected stand-alone monitor" that would allow the use of the camera when traveling or at locations without internet connectivity and local wifi. This would allow the camera to be used as a traditional monitor while on the move. Netgear announced on 3/14/18 that they will not be honoring their commitment to producing the product that would provide the advertised functionality. The camera is now past return deadline and I'm stuck with a $200 that doesn't function as a traditional baby monitor forcing me to purchase a product that does. Netgear has been less than helpful and Bestbuy is not willing to make a return exception even though the camera is a mere 10 days past the return window. Displeased with both and am an elite+ member. I guess that means nothing.

    Slight delay in the feed to the phone. Other than that this camera is great and can double as an indoor security after the kid is a little older. Saves footage for 7 days through Arlo server.

    I was an early adopter for the Arlo Baby. There were some performance issues at first, but now its flawless. Join the NETGEAR online community for tips and troubleshooting as necessary.

    This camera is awesome. The app is rarely buggy but it happens 5 seconds after opening the app. Close it and open it right back, good to go.

    I would like to start by saying I am familiar with and use other brands of wireless/home cameras/baby monitors. This devices is terrible. After one week it would freeze every other day. I had to reset it constantly. When I reached out to netgear customer service that was even worse. They were not helpful. Transferred my call multiple times never resolved my issue and for some weird reason asked me multiple times what the temperature of my house was. I have since returned this pile of junk. They call it a baby monitor but it never was able to monitor my baby.

    Items works as intended and has a few great features but the device alone isn’t the best. Will glitch out sometimes and will have lines during recordings. Returned and got a new one but same issue.

    Got this for a baby camera. The live streaming and night vision originally worked great. After about 6month Netgear did some updates that caused many issues. Took them several months to fix key features like the live streaming. Call support lines they blamed your WiFi and couldn’t explain why a iPhone that didn’t have the app updated works but the one with the new update didn’t. For the price buy a video basic monitor save your money.
