They keep the cameras charged. Before we got them we were having to get out a ladder and take them down, bring them inside and plug them in to charge and then climb back up the ladder to put them back up. What a hassle! Highly recommend...

The output of the solar panel seems low and does not top up to maximum but does successfully radically reduce the period when the target camera has to be recharged off line. Also to be fair the Arlo solar panel may not be receiving the most solar power over time during the day due to location Overall moderately pleased but does not seem value for money.

Getting up on a ladder to take a camera down for charging is a pain. Not only is it inconvenient, the down time to charge the camera is counterproductive. All 6 of my cameras are now solar.

Wasn't sure how well it would work, but was up to 14% in a few hours and was almost fully charged by the next day. Stays at or close to 100% most of the time. Really happy ... much easier than climbing a ladder every few months to charge.

The price was very reasonable but I soon learned that they don’t keep up with the needs of my Arlo security camera. Easy to install but I have since stopped using them and will put them up for sale.

It does make the battery last longer once outside but it doesn't actually charge the camera.

We want to share that although the Arlo Solar Panel is designed to keep your Arlo camera’s battery fully charged, heavy usage of your camera can drain the camera battery faster than the solar panel can recharge it. The 2-watt Arlo Solar Panel is designed to provide year-round trickle charging to keep your Arlo camera battery charged, not to charge your camera battery from low to full.

If you need quick security then you need one of these right away. The unit comes also in white to match your home, and other decor inside and outside just put solar panel on the outside of your home.
