The Arlo Pro 2 is a great WiFi Wire-Free security camera starter set. I put a camera at my front door, back door, and one looking over my driveway/vehicles. Very easy to install and batteries have a long life. I bought an extra battery set and charger to have them ready as soon as one needs to be changed. The 1080p makes the video recordings very clear and easily identifiable. Also with the app, you can view any camera live from anywhere you want. It’s an excellent system and I highly recommend the set for anyone looking for that extra security for your home or work!

I really like these cameras. Set up took about 30 or 40 minutes. The video is pretty clear. The sound from the door bell when chatting with someone isn’t that great unless they are close to the doorbell. But it does work. I was able to tell my pest control guy to spray the exterior of my house while I was sitting at my desk at work. I have not had any trouble with battery life or the cameras being too sensitive. And my doorbell faces inward. So I like that I could mount the camera separate from the doorbell.

Got it during Best Buy’s ‘deal of the day’ promotion. I’ve been impressed with quality of the video taping during the day as as night. It’s supersensitive to any movement. The paid subscription (just $10/mont) is very impressive as it can alert the police via e911 call. Btw, 1st month is free to store the surveillance footage. So far, I’m very impressed with this- super easy to install.

I was looking for a wireless surveillance system since where I wanted to install my cameras was easily accessible. Looked at many different ones and this was by far the easiest to set up and records when I need it to. The only downfall so far is the night vision, in which I wish was a little better quality, but this is about what I would expect from a wireless system. If I wanted a little better quality at all times, I would need to switch to something wired which wasn't an option for me. The battery life it decent but would depend on how much activity the camera sees and also what video setting you set it on. Overall, If it doesn't see much action, the camera can go as long as 4 to 5 months on one charge which is pretty good. I have one camera on its own and the other I installed a solar panel to charge the battery since it sees motion and activity several times a day. With that being said, I was getting maybe 30 days from one charge and this was to much of a hassle (where I had it mounted) to keep charging that often. Installing the solar panel was the best option for me. I would like to upgrade the better camera but price wise, that's not an option in my budget so these work great for now.

It was easy to set up and use. I've been surprised how long the batteries last. I didn't like how the door bell worked, so we're not using that. We're only using the video cameras. I like that there isn't a monthly fee like some of the other services require to view the videos in the cloud. Would have given it a five start if the door bell worked better.

It does work but requires a lot of settings adjustment all the time. Motion detecting is hit and miss, especially when setting specific activity zones for motion detecting to go off. Firmware updates and finding other devices to connect take a very long time sometimes. These work horrible if the camera is pointed towards a busy road. Setting the activity zone away from the road doesnt work and the camera will ping your phone all day long no matter how sensitive you set the motion detecting. Batteries last a long time as long as the cameras aren't constantly going off. They charge very quickly. The range could be better but it still pretty decent. Easy to install wherever you want. Magnetic camera mount is very cool but leaves your cameras open to the possibility of being stolen. Video quality during the day and night is pretty decent. Sound is decent. Doorbell works good. The Speak through your phone and out the cameras feature doesnt even work. All the features of this camera are really great, it's just too bad that some dont work very well or are way to slow to be used realistically.

This is a very easy wireless camera to setup. It is wireless to a certain extent. If you use the basic out of the box setup, you don't get continuous video. You only get when it records movement (any movement). So you will get a lot of false alerts. Too get continuous video and person movement, you have to pay a monthly fee. Other then that, the 1080p is great quality. Night vision is ok.

Pros: One of the pros about this camera is that it is wireless, so no need to worry about where to plug it in. Another good thing is you can get a pretty clear picture on the high quality setting. I also like this camera because it has an infrared sensor for nighttime mode. Another pro is that it comes with free cloud storage up to a certain limit, which I really appreciate as I do not want to pay a monthly fee for storage. You also have the option to download clips to your phone, which is another plus. Cons: Battery on lasts about a month before it needs to be recharged when it is advertised to last 4-6 months. Perhaps this is because I have my cameras on the high quality setting, however, this is not too big of an issue as the charge time is only about 2 hrs to get a full charge. This is not a wide angle camera so if you are looking for something that can capture for example your entire driveway, then this might not be for you. On the other hand, you can always add more cameras so this is also not too big of an issue. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with the camera system. It is a pretty decent system for its price and I would recommend it to my friends and family.

Easy set up and quick pairing of the cameras to the base station. The 1080 video is clear during the day and works as expected at night. I bought the solar panels so I didn’t have to bother with charging, very pleased with the Solar panels they charge the batteries in the cameras every day. Very pleased with the Arlo doorbell as we live in an older house that is not wired for a doorbell it is convenient. it’s nice to have our phones ring when someone presses ithe doorbell, plus it has a motion sensor that lets us know if anyone comes near my door . Overall very satisfied with the Arlo system

I read all the reviews prior to purchasing this product. Comments that caught my attention most included short battery life and buffering playback, so I want to discuss what I experienced. First, I'm getting a battery life of about 2 months or so. I expect that this is driven primarily by how many captures the cameras do. Of course, that seems to depend on the amount of activity in front of the camera and motion sensitivity settings. I'm still making fine tuning to get it where I want it, but battery life seems good to me. Researching motion detecting zones now, but it seems like this is a premium feature (monthly fee). At times, I've experienced a little buffering on stored video playback but it is rare and probably due to network traffic. What little I get is fine. Setup of the system was pretty easy (much, much easier than a wired system). I didn't verify an available network port and ended up going out to get a switch and network cable to expand my available ports. But that is my fault for not looking first. Overall, I love the system and the app.

I love these cameras!!!!! Great quality, clarity, sound, and long battery life. Very easy to install and setup. The only dow side is Arlo's phone app. It needs a lot of work. The lag time between opening the app and connecting is very slow. If the app was better this would be a 5 star review.

I was really excited to get this system installed but it was a huge disappointment. Here is why: 1. The app (on iOS anyway) is insanely buggy. You would think for the amount of money you pay, they could invest in the app some more. It took me more than a fair share of tries to get this setup and I am pretty tech savvy. 2. The image does NOT appear to be 1080p. I am using them as wireless cameras but they are connected to my wifi at 100 Mbps. One of them only being 8 feet from the router. And the image is not what one would expect from 1080p. 3. Motion detection works about 60% of the time. My camera is aimed at my driveway, and I pulled my car out... no motion alert. Mailman comes walking up the driveway right in plain view of the camera... no motion alert. 4. Subscription plans. If you want to activate motion zones, your camera either has to be plugged into AC power OR you have to subscribe to Arlo Smart which is 2.99/month per camera or 10/month for up to 7 cameras. Basically on par with what competitors are offering. BUT there is no reason to lock out the motion zones for AC power only when it clearly works on the wireless camera. A few things I DO like about the cameras: 1. Easy to mount. 2. Battery life isn't terrible. 3. From an aesthetic perspective, they are pretty good looking cameras. I would recommend testing some other systems before settling on this one.

Overall this is a good system on it's own without adding an upgraded subscription. The free subscription allows you up to 5 cameras. The Arlo Pro 2 cameras work well in the day, and pretty good at night. I have the cameras setup on my front and back porches. The Arlo app alerts me if anyone enters my driveway, approaches my door, and it catches that pesky fox that wants to live in my backyard. I didn't even know he could jump the fence until I setup the camera. The biggest problem I had is I tried to add the Arlo Security lights. The bridge wouldn't connect to the system. While I find it irritating, I'm looking forward to the 4K cameras with build in lighting coming at the end of the month.

Had CPI at my old house and was not impressed and the cameras were lacking. We moved into our new home and decided to try these Arlo Cameras. The video quality it great and the motion detection is spot on. App is easy to use and the battery has a long charge life. The audio doorbell did not have to be attached to my door chime which is great as it calls my phone and does not alert my dogs. Very happy!

I wanted a system that would not require drilling holes and dragging wires all over my home, so I decided to give Arlo a try. Best Buy was running a sale on the 2 camera and doorbell system, so I decided to give it a try. I install the system and one of my cameras are located in the front of my home, which it is constant traffic. I didn't know that the battery would not last but a couple of days where it was located. On top of that, I installed it where a ladder is needed to get to it. I know I could not go up and down a ladder every 3-4 days to charge a battery. The odds of falling would increase with this schedule. So I called Arlo support and they had me to adjust the settings to 29% instead of the 80% factory settings (I also installed solar panel), that was a big help and so far after 3 weeks, that camera is holding a 100% charge. I would purchase this unit again and I also would recommend Arlo to my friends.

MY Arlo-pro 2 system has continued to function as advertised. it was easy to install and easy to activate. I found that the door bell didn't have it's own camera and needed to be connected to the house door bell to work which I found unnessisary and did not install it. if the system had a siren it wound have been a big plus. but many others do not provide this warning feature either. this system functions thur the WIFI provided by my cell phone so alerts are always at hand.

After having an earlier version of the ARLO cameras in my business I decided to upgrade from the basic ARLO unit to the ARLO Pro 2 units that offer a much better picture and sound. These camera allows the end user to set them up in less than an hour and there are no wires to run. I switched over to rechargeable batteries to cut down the battery cost and found that the rechargeable batteries can be recharged hundreds of times saving the environment and money. I would highly recommend this product to all.

Great starter kit for hopping aboard the Arlo platform. This kit was added to a 3 camera Arlo Pro and my 2 camera Arlo Q system I was already utilizing. So now currently I have 2 base stations, 5 cameras and the doorbell. Everything works flawlessly, with 1 base station in my living room closest to the front door and the other in my office which is located near my rear door (perfect for siren use). Camera setup is a breeze and battery life is decent. My only gripe is the battery life for the doorbell is short. The doorbell takes AA batteries, which are drained in a months time since the doorbell is drawing power 24/7. Other then that, cannot find a better wireless surveillance system on the market.
