A: I believe it stores 7 days in the cloud for free. Longer, you need to purchase their Arlo service. I did not want to pay for a service, so I attached an external hard drive to the base unit and it will store all videos until the drive is full. Once filled, it will write over older videos. I have a 2TB drive so it will hold a lot. You have to make sure that you format the external hard drive to FAT32 or it won't work.
Q: Does the base station have the audio alarm option?
A: Yes, but the alarm doesnt sound through the camera. It sounds through the base station which is kind of useless if you catch someone on your property. They probably wont be able to hear it unless they have already made their way inside.
Q: Is the doorbell camera motion activated?
A: It's not a doorbell camera. It's just an audio doorbell.
Q: How far can a camera be distanced from the hub (or wifi) before its connectivity is affected?
A: Mine are 30 ft from base.

A: You can connect to either. Super easy
