Super clear image; easy to navigate the app; easy to recharge the batteries!
I had previously used Blink cameras and didn’t love the battery situation or the way the mounts worked. The Arlo mount is much more sturdy and maneuverable in my opinion!

The Best Buy Arlo Pro 5S 2K camera pack with batteries and charger pack is awesome. Very simple to install and add to my other previous Arlo cameras. The cameras were easily added to my existing Arlo Hub and these new Pro5S 2k cameras are simply outstanding. The images and video are amazing, and the spotlight makes the images even clearer and in color! Best Buy had a special buy on these cameras and battery packs and you can't beat this bundle price! Thank you Best Buy!

The product is amazing, catches motion very well, quality is good

Cameras are good, great quality. The base is already installed so you cannot add an extension arm so if it is not an angle you want, then it is going to be hard to install. If i knew that first, I would have purchased ones without the base installed, but either way the camera is great. Install is EXTREMELY easy.

I bought the Arlo Pro 5S 2K 3-Camera Bundle to upgrade my home security, and I’ve been really impressed so far. Setup was super easy since the cameras are wireless, and the magnetic mounts make it simple to position them exactly where I need them.
The video quality is excellent — the 2K resolution is noticeably clearer than my old 1080p cameras, and the color night vision makes a huge difference when checking footage at night. Motion detection is accurate too; it’s great that it can tell the difference between people, cars, and animals so I’m not getting bombarded with false alerts.
The built-in spotlight is surprisingly bright and does a good job of deterring activity around my property. The two-way audio is clear enough to have quick conversations with delivery drivers or to scare off unwanted visitors.
Battery life has been solid — I usually go several weeks before needing to recharge, even with moderate activity around my home. That said, you do need the Arlo Secure subscription to get full use out of the cameras (like storing video history and more advanced detection features), which is an extra cost to keep in mind.
Overall, this is a reliable, easy-to-use security system with excellent picture quality and smart features. It’s not the cheapest option, but you really get what you pay for in terms of performance and peace of mind.
✅ Pros:
• Clear 2K video with color night vision
• Easy to install and adjust
• Good motion detection and smart alerts
• Spotlight and two-way audio are very useful
• Works indoors or outdoors
⚠️ Cons:
• Subscription needed for cloud storage/advanced features
• Price is on the higher side
Final Verdict: If you want a premium, worry-free security system that’s simple to set up and delivers high-quality results, the Arlo Pro 5S 2K bundle is worth the investment.

Think they are great so far. They do very nice in the dark you have full color and play back is great. I don't like that you have to sign up for a service plan to see any recordings after 30 days. But I think they are great. Batteries last a long time I now have 8 cameras at 2 different locations and they are prefect.

The cameras were easy to install and setup for my father in law. He loves the quality and ease of use. He didn’t want to pay monthly to use it though. I explained it should work find without the Arlo secure software. We will see if that works.

Upgrade over the Arlo essential spotlight cameras.
I replaced the essential spotlight series. It is an improvement in many sense.
Positives: Higher resolution. Better charging options with replaceable battery and magnetic charging. Improved battery life (I would say about 50-100%). It connects to both 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi signal.
What I’m not 100% happy about: The motion detection seem to be a little less responsive on the larger distance motions compared to the old one. One of my cameras keeps sending a vehicle alert when there’s no vehicle around (it probably confuses some feature as a car) not sure if this is the camera’s fault or software or app. I expected at least one magnetic charger cable to come with the 3 pack of cameras, but non was included, only 4 batteries.
I’m overall happy with the upgrade.

I was looking for a camera to monitor the street in front of my house. This camera met some of the requirements but fell short in a couple of key areas.
The hardware feels solid. The battery did not come installed and I had to look up an online video to find out how to install the battery - it was not included in the instructions.
After that, setting up was easy. The connection to my internet was trouble-free.
I like that the Arlo Secure app gives you the option to personalize the dashboard. I can see where this would be extremely helpful if you had several cameras. In my case, with one camera, I was able to bring the video into my landing page.
The color is excellent - true representation.
The resolution is where I have the biggest complaint. For my property - a very narrow yet long plot of land - the resolution was insufficient to make out a license plate on a vehicle entered my driveway, about twenty-five feet away. It does not provide the minimum pixels-per-foot for license plate or facial recognition.
The ability to see color at night is a convenience that I appreciate. I do have exceptionally good lighting which helps with this feature.
The field of vision is adequate for capturing everything happening in front of my house.
The spotlight is a nice feature, but unnoticeable in my yard because of my regular lighting.
Linking the camera to Alexa was quite easy. All I had to do was open the Alexa app, authenticate my Arlo account, and approve the linking of the two accounts.
My biggest concern usually with such a wireless camera is battery life. Starting with a full charge, it has been running now for over two weeks and the battery level is at 82% - this is very impressive. Since I must use a ladder to climb up to remove the battery for recharging, this is a splendid feature.
However, it is not enough to overcome the low resolution in my application. It may work for you if you want details at about 10-15 feet, but beyond that, you will need to spend more and get a higher resolution, outdoor camera.
Add to that the fact that the charging cable is proprietary (not a standard USB cable), and that Arlo is pushing you to a subscription for the better app features, and you have another device looking to rope you into recurring monthly revenue for them, recurring subscription spending for you.

Easy to install and connect. Love the picture quality especially at night with the spotlight. It's really nice having a backup battery to swap out when a battery dies. I previously had Arlo pro 2 which I loved not paying a monthly fee but the camera quality on the 5s is definitely much better. The only thing I haven't figured out is if the base can be removed from the camera. That would be nice if you don't want to mount the camera.

We have 3 of these each on a separate side of our house and are getting a fourth one because we are so happy with the product. They connect to your home wifi and as long as your wifi is fast enough they provide really clear video capture, even at night we can clearly see a face on them. The customizable settings for notifications are convenient and allow us to avoid repeated notifications about our pets when they're outside.

I'm a long time owner of Arlo products. I have over 15 cameras and spotlights around my home and cabin. I do pay for an Arlo Secure plan as I feel that provides the best value for what I need. The Pro 5S comes with an Arlo Secure trial to store the 2k cloud recordings.
OK - so for the camera itself. Arlo came out with some nice features versus their previous generations. Features like: Dual Band Wi-Fi - so it can connect to both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz network for broader compatibility is to me the best new feature. Low Power Mode give up to 30% more battery life and Alro Secure Link gives you a more secure connection all around. The camera boasts 2K resolution/output and a 160 degree viewing area - providing a clear large field of vision.
Many people ask if you need a SmartHub or Base Station - NOPE. You don't need those as this camera can connect directly to your Wi-Fi Router! That's a nice bonus. You do get some minor benefits using a SmartHub (optimized Wi-Fi traffic, slightly better battery life, etc) but it's not required.
Color night vision happens with the built in spotlight - see attached pictures. A built in siren can be configured to startle and scare visitors or animals.
The only minor issue I had as that it forced me to upgrade my phone app when adding this camera to my existing SmartHub system. That caused me a little confusion, as the new app does things a bit different - but nothing that you can't work through.
Overall, this is a solid camera with large crisp images to capture the scenes that matter to you most!

The video quality is overall pretty good. However I'm not impressed with the camera's ability to detect different types of motion and send the appropriate alerts. I get constant notifications that there's an animal or a vehicle and after watching the recorded event I can see it is completely inaccurate. In that aspect I think it's really hard to rely on the battery life because even if you tweak the settings, it still gets confused rather easily. Also, it starts recording a few seconds too late, so often motion events are kind of missed. Especially when it takes another few seconds to send the signal for the notification through the app, and then to load the live feed, it's been about 30 seconds since the motion started... and often you've completely missed the action and it's too late. I have great wifi and even purchased wifi extenders and it doesn't seem to help. Arlo as a company needs to step up their app and technology beyond just having cameras that can shoot in high def video. Overall they do what they're supposed to, but just not as well as you'd expect for the price tag.

Really love these cameras. They come with rechargeable batteries and an extra battery so your never a camera down while waiting for a charge . They do really well in the dark and come with a built in light when motion is detected . The app is really easy to use and gives you motion alerts instantly. Overall these cameras are not to expensive and do a great job
