These are awesome cameras. If you mount outdoors, use the security mounts. You will need to charge them. ONLY the charger that came with it will qork. Motion detection takes fine tuning. I have 3. Front door, back door and the kitten cam. I plan on adding more. Free recording up to 7 days.

I was looking for a security camera that was easy to use and install, and Arlo was a perfect choice. The cameras (I finally got 4) were really easy to setup, install and use. They are good day or night, and have very good video resolution. The cloud storage of the images are really handy and give you weeks of image capture.

I work in security so I had some pretty precise requirements and high expectations. This system meets both; waterproof, high definition, wireless, long battery life, push to talk speaker system, intuitive user interface with phone alerts, etc. Highly recommended.

Yes, 100% wireless so YES it's convenient to install. BUT it seems to record and Alert a different way everyday. Sometimes sensors are accurate and sometimes their not. Occasional Green Screen or "No network" warning not allowing me to review from work. (With no ACTUAL current network issues) and the worse is If you need to RESET the cams, you need to take out the ladder, take them the cams down and bring inside to RESET them. You can't do it through the app. AND same process once a week for your Battery Charge. It just sucks to have to get a ladder, climb, charge or RESET and have to climb again ONCE a week 5 TIMES through out my house for each camera. And it sucks Especially if your out working hard all day everyday and need to come home and work some more for Low battery again or have to reset because of an issue.

This is an additional security camera that I purchase while it was on "Sale." The battery life is great! Original purchase was for 4 camera's. My first charge was after 6 months of usage. The ad stated that batteries last about 2-3 months. I only use them when I'm not home, so maybe that's way they lasted so long.

I've been running the arlo pro for a week now and am very happy with it! The camera itself is very easy to setup and sync to the base station. The android app is very easy to navigate and play-back videos. There are a few things to note: The arlo PRO really only works for video clips. It's not designed for continuous video. You do have the option of how long you want each video clip is to record once it detects motion, when you set that you will be trading more time for less battery life. In the week I've been using it, at best video quality, 30 second clips, and average of 10 clips a day my battery is at 76%. That's also including all the extra "up time" it took for me to set the camera up. I expect to need a charge every 4-6 weeks (think I will buy a second battery). The base station needs to be physically connected to the router. I looked at the settings and didn't see any option to WiFi the base station to the internet. Also, strange it seems you have the option of connecting the camera to the base station OR to the WiFi network. When I connected it to my WiFi I was not able to see it on the app for local control, I found this strange and need to investigate it more. Overall, I think the set is pretty nice, setup is easy and it does pretty much what I wanted it to.

WE ENDED UP ATTACHING SOLAR PANELS TO CHARGE THE CAMERA'S SO WE DO NOT HAVE TO CONTINUOUSLY CHARGE THE BATTERIES

I originally bought the Arlo Pro base unit with 2 cameras, and it worked so well, I purchased two more cameras.

This is a great camera . I have 3 of these . One on my driveway one st my front door and one at my back door . They are very easy to install . There is a little delay when you speak to someone through the camera . Other then that great camera .

I purchased the arlo pro add on camera to supplement my existing arlo system. It works seamlessly with the arlo hub and was easy to setup. I like the fact that this pro version has a rechargeable battery as well as 2 way communication. The fact that it can trigger based on both motion as well as sound is a step in the right direction. Definitely recommend.

My only issue is sometimes it is a bit slow to start recording when it detects motion. However, quality of video makes up for it.

The pro came out after I had bought several of the original cameras. I like the rechargeable battery in it, although now you can use recommended rechargeable batteries in the older camera. The pro has a few more capabilities e.g. audio, and is a little sturdier for outdoor use. I'd use these outside and keep the original cameras indoors.

This camera is highly sensitive and will record even the slightest sounds and movements, depending on the settings you choose.
