I saw this product on a home shopping program and liked what I saw but did not like the price. So of course I did a little research and found the best deal at Best Buy. My Salesmen was very knowledgeable about the system. He checked online to make sure it was the "Best Buy" out there for me without me asking. Also told me about the protection plan I could purchase up to 2 weeks after my purchase which I did. I'm so happy with these security cameras. I did purchase the Arlo Pro full package along with the add on camera. This system took all of 10 minutes to fully set up. The batteries were fully charged out of the box!! Cameras were easy to mount. The app is very user friendly. The picture quality and sound is amazing! I've had this system for almost 3 months and all 3 batteries are at 75%. The alarm is super loud and will get anyones attention in a hurry. I feel more secure when I'm alone with this system. Great job Arlo/Netgear!!

great camera system but a few things i did not like. As like others have said, the camera picks up great audio but it does a pretty bad job at producing it. either the speaker is really cheap or the voice gets garbled when it comes out on the other end. the voice was very digital sounding and not as clear as i would have hoped but this is not that big of a deal, to me at least.
the other thing i did not like was the magnetic mounts that come with the camera and base station bundle. the cameras are heavy enough that when mounted by the magnetic base it actually lowered the FOV of the camera as it shifted downwards over the course of the day. I had to keep adjusting the camera until i was fed up and bought the wall mount instead. i assume the rechargeable battery is what makes the pro unit heavier than the 1st gen.
other than that this is a great product and Best Buy actually had it available for purchase before many other retailers including amazon and fry's.

We would of had to have Apple products to make this work the way we wanted. It would of cost us thousands. So we brought it back and purchased another system that works great.

Motion Issue Fixed

I've owned 2 Arlo cameras and have been semi-successfully using them for months. My biggest issue was the time for the recording to start after motion was detected. Once I swapped a camera for the Arlo Pro, the motion issue was fixed. I have my Pro camera over my front door and it starts recording immediately after noticing the motion. I have never had an issue with connectivity or range as my base station is somewhat nearby (through an exterior wall and under 30ft). I have not tested the audio but that's not why i bought the pro. Overall, the rechargeable aspect and the motion improvement have made my Arlo System a much better product.

Arlo has locked me out! How do I get access to my cameras without paying for a subscription I was not supposed to need?

Great add on camera for existing Arlo system

I have an original Arlo system and wanted to add the Arlo Pro camera since it has the rechargeable battery system. Adding it was super easy, syncs right up with the Arlo base and it was instantly added to the network. The rechargeable is one of the best things about this camera. No more buying batteries and the charge last for quite a long time with normal use.

We love the Arlo system and now being able to add the news cams to that base is fantastic. The cams are slightly bigger and they also include 2 way voice capabilities. When we added this to our system the cam went through a firmware update. A few minutes it was operational and it works perfectly. The picture is 1080p and crystal clear. The mic/speaker is also crystal clear. I didn't expect much from the audio feature but now that it's running it's quite impressive.

Unless the base station is closeby this wont work

I have owned Arlo Wireless cameras first generation for a year now and I love them and they truly are great and do everything I need them to do. I bought one of these new Pros to add since I wanted Audio on my garage camera. Unfortunately the Pro requires a much more powerful WiFi boost and the base station has to literally be close to this camera or the camera will keep disconnecting and showing not responsive. I contacted customer support about this and they had no work around. I am even using Netgear's Orbi Whole House Tri Band WiFi and this still won't work. The problem is these Pro cameras use audio and video and require a significant signal strength to work and also capture video motion. Also another problem I noticed, the two way audio on this camera is barely audible and it is so quiet, there is no way a person could hear you speak through this camera. I was so disappointed, I returned this immediately and went back to first gen camera.

UNRELIABLE

Cameras look cute and image is clear.
They worked for about 6 months then started having problems - going offline every 24-48 hours, which means taking them down and re-sync them each time. If you need cameras for when you are away from home those are useless, as you cannot re-sync remotely. And even when you are at home, it's annoying to get on the ladder and go through the whole process every couple of days. Chatted several times with Support (you need hours to go through the process), did all availabe updates and resets, but no solution was found.

I really enjoyed Arlo pro. Easy set up, no more lagging record compare to first generation model. Best of all its rechargeable.
