I would recommend the indoor camera for anyone who needs & wants security with a fast install. We caught our dog on the kitchen table when we were out of town! The outdoor cameras are not the best for us. There is a delay of alerts. The cameras don't pick up movement at times. I fell into my pond and couldn't wait to see the footage on that! The camera did not catch the action! We had a mailman throw packages over the wall and the camera didn't pick that up either. Yesterday, our front camera did not catch a car smashing into our skate ramp in front of our house. These are all areas where the cameras do pick up movement because we get constant alerts but not when we needed them to work. The replacement batteries can be bought at any store for $15each.

The camera's resolution is terrific, two-way audio is surprisingly good, the app is sometimes slow to open, the free cloud storage is quite adequate, night vision is good - but the motion-sensing is extremely problematic. Mine worked for a while then it stopped, and then began working sporadically even though NO settings had been changed. No idea whether it's the camera, the app, the base station or what, but strange that it worked fine and then became unreliable in the same circumstances.

Works well and keeps an eye on my place. The one thing I wish they would change is once motion is detected it should record the whole clip instead of 15 seconds of when it begins. Maybe that's what you get in the paid service of the cloud. also if you have the camera pointed towards the surface its resting on a little too much, then at night its pitch black and the light adjusts to capture the surface only. just tilting it up fixes it, but maybe it could recognize the room better? not a big deal though, I think the constant recording would be the bigger ask and want instead of a 15 second clip. there's just delays in-between id like to capture instead of the initial open of the door and who it is

Looking for a simple and quick setup camera for the house. No major setup, just look for a place in the house and plug in. Wide angle lens and okay audio, the best part is free online storage for seven days.

We use it to monitor our apartment and pets while we are at work. Does the job. Noise and motion detection work great and there's no need to have an extra account to store footage. Holds files for 7 days, which is plenty of time to save to your device if needed.

I tried this camera out when I had to seen my old camera out for service for 3 weeks. I use this camera at my mother home who live in Iowa. My old camera was 90 prevent better then this camera, and can't wait for the repair to get done. This camera has a 5 min delay time. From the time of recording the motion. And when you use the 2 way speaker there is a 2 min wait time before the system allows you to speak into the mic. Then it had another 2 min delay before the camera send the sound to camera. I called the company support team. They was the worst people I ever talk to. I had one question and took two hour and 9 people to help I got transferred to 8 tech. Then had to call again. I have the first Arlo for outside I love it but this one I hate. I could not afford the Alto pro 2 they said it was better then the q. I would not buy the Arlo q. If I could return I would.

This is a good camera with easy set up, even for the technology challenged.

ARLO Q by NETGEAR 2017. high quality hd, motion activated, night vision. You can use the app on your phone to talk through the camera , remotely . Geofencing it will arm itself when you leave your home. You can also keep it recording 24 hours a day.

I bought this to replace my Canary due to their unethical practice of adding a pay wall for services that used to be free. As much as it pains me to say this. Canary was a better camera. This camera has 1080p resolution, but it doesn't look any better than the Canary's 720p. The live feed and video playback is also really choppy. I've tried dropping it to 720p and changing the flicker adjustment from 60 hz to 50 hz, but it doesn't make a difference. The camera also tends to get really hot. For the $200 price tag. I would look elsewhere.

Easy to instal and operate, good picture that adds to families security.

Does what it needs in order to keep an eye on my home. THE ONLY issue I have is that there is a 5-10 sec lag when watching the live stream. The ALERTS are SUPER sensitive and will CAPTURE EVERYTHING. That good because it doesn't miss a thing but bad because I get ALERTS to my phone CONSTANTLY ALL DAY.

Very easy assembly. Very clear picture and night vision picture. Was hesitant on spending so much on a camera but definitely worth it. Easily controlled through the app

I switched to Netgear cameras for free cloud clips for 7 days. The camera has a good viewing angle, takes 15 seconds video clips on motion, can send you notification, you can view live video stream on your phone. Good alternative to nest cams and others. The only thing to remember is that this is not recording movies all the time, only 15 seconds when motion is detected.

Had Arlo Q for about four months. Had connectivity problems twice where anyone with an account was locked out. Otherwise, it records great but it's a bit delayed in real time.

The video from this camera is outstanding. Night vision is good as well. I wish you were able to zoom a little better. It captures movement and sound events very well. I highly recommend this camera.

Just moved and had to do a set up again and it literally took me 2mins. Camera is great quality. Microphone picks up the faintest sound. Night vision is good. Cable is long enough. Great product overall and the app is great.

Really crystal clear ,motion sensor great and it works with Alexa now
