The actual camera isn't bad, but the app blows- it is much better than it used to be. The monthly plan is actually really cheap and offers really cool notifications that break down person/animal/package, also emergency features like 911 or call someone. You're also able to use the app to talk through the camera. We frequently reassure the cat that she is gonna be okay. You don't need to pay for the plan since there is 7 day rolling cloud. You can also download any videos you want, and send links to whoever for specific videos or give free access. Support is mediocre at best.

I had a bit of an issue setting up the Arlo. Couldn't find the WiFi initially, thought it was distance related, since I wanted the camera downstairs. After some pounding my head against the wall, I discovered it was case sensitive on the SSID as well as the passcode. Now it works great.

We use it to keep an eye on our dogs when we are away and it is perfect. We can talk to them through it when they are doing something they shouldn't. It gets their attention and they stop. I most definitely recommend this camera with it's ability to communicate. It has great wide angle we can see two whole rooms.

I like these cameras, but I wish I would have bought the 4 Pro2 camera system instead of the 2 Pro2 system and these two cameras. I really like the Pro2, mainly because they are wireless and the battery has a long life.

The camera quality is what I expect from Arlo however I had trouble getting it to synch with my existing Arlo system. Finally worked after many tries and resetting the camera

The Arlo q picture quality is excellent. The 2 way audio isn't that great due to lag. The unit does get very warm after a while and stays warm. Not a bad camera if you don't mind those 2 issues.

Bought this when the infrared lights went out on our Infant Optics monitor. Needed to be able to see baby when the room was dark. Thought this was the best option based on price and technology and we became increasingly disappointed. The app that goes along with this camera is literally terrible and got worse over the 6 months we could tolerate it. It required a fingerprint authorization to sign in, then would take 30-60 seconds or more to deliver a video feed that had a 4-5 second lag. This is an eternity when you're checking on a crying baby (or making sure no one is breaking into your house, I'd imagine). It was miserable, and annoying. It had difficulty connecting to our WiFi despite being 15 feet (and one wall) away from the router. I couldn't set motion/activity zones in the app because it'd inexplicably zoom in on a random part of the room I didn't need monitored. Worse still, I found internet forums filled with similar comments from other owners, and no acknowledgement from Arlo indicating that they were in any way working to fix the issue. Honestly, I feel a little bit conned by the company, because this product doesn't work as advertised. I sold it online and bought a Nest cam and will never look back. Giving it two stars because the camera works... once you wait three minutes for the app to boot up and connect.

I have been using this product now for one year. This is a perfect solution for me. I bought this to monitor my mom at home. And I can use this camera with two way communication which is very important when my phone is not functioning. It also gives you free one week worth recording on the cloud.

Works good. I have it connected as is. I do not have it connected to arlo base station with other cameras. The only problem I had was when I lost my WiFi from carrier I had to set it up again. Other then that it is a great product

The camera is great - video quality is good. The setup is horrific! The only help available is that of a chat line with other buyers who in fact are having the same issue with setup. For the money it is amazing that it didn't have an easier user setup. I used it for my 90 year old dad to alert us when he would get up in the middle of the night as he was very feeble and I wanted to make sure the caregivers would be able to help. Bad experience. I took it back to BB and got my money back. A baby monitored worked better.

Both Cameras were easy to setup in about 15 minutes. Works well in the app and easy to change settings on the fly. I love the geofencing feature so I don't have to worry about turning them on and off. Also, the magnet the mount, for a secure non-abrasive connection with metal.
