This is the 6th camera in my arlo system and it is working as advertised. The cordless system gave me the flexibility I was looking for and the Netgear app is convienent. The original battery cameras also fit into my install convience. One key item this product offers is the IFTTT protocol which allowed it to link with other app driven products. i.e. Alexa, Ring and Hue all comunite together. So I can have Alexa turn on a light when the camera senses motion or the doorbell rings. Any of these triggers are then recorded via the arlo system. The cameras are an expence but so are the other items. It is nice to have them all linked together. Keep in mind that the weak link is your internet network and ac power. Both of those can be battery back upped to some degree. I had an ADT system in the past which really did not merit the monthly monetering fee. I was still contacted via text when an alarm was sounded and could then send the police or cancel the alarm. Arlo can do this as well if you set your system up corectely.

This home security camera is so easy to use. I get immediate alerts on my phone when something is detected and can watch live, record, take pics, listen and even talk through the app. No monthly monitoring charges either. It even picks up loud noises/talking outside my home. Highly recommended!

I use Smarthings at the house, and was looking for an IP camera that would integrate with it. This was one of the few cameras. While I miss the ability to pan the camera, as in my previous IP cameras, the setup of this camera was much easier, and the Smarthings integration makes it a keeper.

Got it today, setup was easy, and main reason I got it was the free cloud recording, compared to others that charge for it. The only thing I didnt like is that it doesnt have an internal memory or at least a card slot. So if your Wifi is out, the camera is useless. But the quality is pretty good. Even during night vision. One issue with the night vision, if you turn off the light, it makes a sound to switch to night vision, and then if you turn on the light back on it looses some quality. Also the audio is not so great.

Setup was a little touchy, but once it's set up, it generally works well. Remote viewing can sometimes not connect properly and you need to try again (sometime multiple times). The free cloud storage is the real MVP though.

I have three individual cameras and I love the ease of set up, the flexability, the ease of movement if needed, the clarity of the pictures and the wide range of vision.

You do not need to be a tech geek to set this camera up. Picture is really clear. I get a message when there is movement or noise. Great security camera for the price!

Great features: 1) very easy setup literally can be installed and running in minutes. 2) camera quality is exceptional for the price. 3) easy to control camera/ record. Still needing work: 1) Though improvements have been made with the software, the rules based recording settings are still limited. 2) geo related rules that consider when the user is near to home versus away from home can be buggy leading to false alerts when home or perhaps missed alerts while you are away.

I purchased this camera to be able to watch my dog in her cage while we were away because she is quite the escape artist. The picture on the arlo is incredible. It truly is. And the night vision is quite impressive as well. The reason I ultimately returned this is because of the severe amount of lag. I have the netgear nighthawk dual band router with amazing wifi capabilities. So it is not my wifi. I have seen other reviews with the same comments. The amount of lag could be anywhere between 10 and 20 seconds. And then the dual audio system would be great if my voice actually came out when it was supposed to. Plus, when my voice is heard, I can't hear the sound in the background from the video anymore. If my dog is trying to get out of her cage and I need to tell her "No!" it will already be too late. It will have been 20 seconds in the past and I am not sure if my voice went through or not. So I returned this device. But otherwise, if you do not care about the lag or the audio this is a great device. The app is user friendly and you are able to watch live from the app and from the computer which is a nice touch. it also has a little camera icon to capture a picture of a particular part of the video which is very convenient to me. I purchased the Arlo Q as an inexpensive in home security camera. It is a bit laggy, but overall the camera is very efficient and reliable. The wide angle lens covers nearly an entire room and the 1080 HD picture is sharp & clear. I can monitor events over my smart phone and/or set the unit to record. The best feature is the recordings are stored via cloud, so I can still view recorded footage even if a burglar decides to rip the camera down. I highly recommend this camera.

Works as advertised. Easy setup. Good picture quality. Two way communication works, with slight delay. In general the Arlo camera system has worked very well for me. I've already caught someone trying to brake into my car. The key is the alert/notification system. There's no point to watching a recording the next day of someone taking your stuff. The Arlo motion sensors alert me to activity and then I can deal with it as its happening. The wireless system allows me to move the cameras easily to different locations

The Arlo Q is very easy to setup and use. The video quality is good and the sensitivity is good too. I think a lot more can be improved in terms of geosensitivity and getting it to be smarter

Very cool camera.. So easy to put into Production... IT Talk, LOL! I have Metal French doors ... painted white... Mounted fast and easy with the magnetic base... plugs into to wall outlet for power... configure the wifi and BAM your live!

I needed a camera for when we take trips so we can keep an eye on our dog and in case someone breaks in.This camera has excellent 1080p video.The mic was very sensitive and sending me false alerts during the first week so I was able to go to my account and turn off the mic which I don't need anyways. I was also concerned about the blue status led being on which was very bright at night but I was able to turn that off remotely also.So this camera has great features which include scheduling the camera to be on/off.Sending me email alerts when motion occurs is fantastic.

Start with an easy and fast setup, camera size is small which is good, decent cloud storage, alerts to my cell phone and the ability to check the recordings on both my mobile and PC is very convenient. The only thing I wish it had which would have granted a 5-star is the overall shape, it would have been great if it didn't have the shape of a standard camera but rather an un-noticeable shape like the Canary All-in-one which looks like a speaker.

Extremely easy setup via QR code, high quality audio and video. Only manufacturer with this quality giving free 7 day cloud storage of footage! Awesome!

The Arlo Q cameras & app install & set up pretty easy. Cameras can be controlled remotely, as long as WiFi connection is maintained. BUT, if power goes off, WiFi discontinues along with cameras being turned off. Then you're done, until you can be by each camera to perform the easy WiFi reconnection procedure, using the app. Cameras seem to reboot when moving the power plug from one outlet to another, as long as the same WiFi connection is still powered up & available. So, if you're away from home when power goes off & WiFi drops, your video surveillance is done, until you can get back to your cameras. :-( Otherwise, these cameras work pretty well. :-)

I had to get a new security system as the manufacturer of my 9 year old system (Lowe's) no longer supports it. I researched and decided on the Arlo Q cameras as I already had 110v power at all locations. What a great choice! Installation was a breeze and the images are clear and bright. There is excellent functionality to change image sizes. With the high resolution I feel very safe. They automatically record when motion is detected. Since I have 3 cats I get a lot of fun recordings every day!

Great image quality, easy set-up make this camera an excellent choice. What I like the most are the motion alerts by mail and in the app.
