Tried to like this since the reviews were great but I had the Stick-Up Ring and it just preformed Better especially at night or in dark situations. I returned this and kept my Ring

    Easy, Quick Setup

Purchased my Arlo Q today from another vendor. I had it up and running in 15 minutes linked with a Netgear Nighthawk r7000 router. Smooth setup without any hitches. Great videos. The sound is so, so, and I am unable to to talk remotely. But what else would you expect from such a small device and you do not need great sound since it is a security device rather than a communication device. I already have the Arlo Q accessible from my computer, cell phone and tablet. I returned the last Canary today that was the third Canary in a row I could not get to link up to my network so I had great hopes for my new Arlo Q and it appears to be all I expected. So far my only concern is the bright blue light on the front of the camera. I may cover it up with a small piece of white medical tape so it will not longer draw the attention of an burglar.

Excellent Camera with Great Features Easy Setup

I have been very apprehensive at adding cameras to my home due to the complexity I have seen friends go through setting them up and trying to get them to work. They always seemed more complicated than they needed to be and far more trouble than they are worth. I decided to take a jump into the deep end and test the Arlo Q. I am happy to report that the hardest part of setting it up was finding the box cutter to open the packaging. I already had the app downloaded on my phone and all I had to do was hit the add camera button and press the sync and enter my wifi code and I was up and running. I had the install complete in less than 5 minutes. I was really surprised most by the two way audio and how clear it really was. I would have thought for such an inexpensive camera the feature set would be lacking but man was I wrong. This thing shoots 1080p that looks so crisp and the audio performance was excellent. Once I got it setup I changed the time for notifications so the only ones I get are at night since i am home all day. I honestly can say I was blown away by this product and for the price its one of the best values on the market. If you are on the fence go to Best Buy, pick one up and test it out. I did receive this product for free as part of Netgear's First Look preview program. Enjoy!

First, very difficult to set up in terms of getting it to actually run. You have to buy the app to get it to work and even then I had to call customer service to help. Still nothing. My son told me to return as he bought 4 for his business and they all gave him nothing but problems. I returned mine and bought another brand and couldn’t be happier. The other camera is far superior!

Clear picture and wide angle affords a great view. Unfortunately, it won't stay connected and is not comparable to use with iPhone 7.

Camera picture quality is okay but there is about a 10 second delay in the video. Purchased for a nursery but returned due to the 10 second delay.

Poor App Quality, Not for Baby Monitors

We bought two of these cameras and intended to use them as baby monitors. The app crashed constantly causing us to lose connection with our babies in the middle of the night. Thank goodness we had back-ups in their room because it is never okay to not be able to hear if your baby is crying.

Web interface is the only pleasant thing about this system, and that's when the Arlo servers aren't down. All support is offshore, with lots of scripts and no accountability. They will drag troubleshooting out until the warranty is up, and then just be "sorry." Do yourself a favor and try another brand first. We're extremely happy with the Nest system by comparison.

    Great Camera

First off, I received this camera free as part of an early review program. When I received the camera I was impressed by the sleek look. I was excited, yet nervous, to get started with the set up because prior experiences with other cameras have proved difficult. Not the case with Arlo Q... the set up was a breeze! It only took me a few minutes to get connected and the app takes you through the process step by step. It was SO easy. The quality looks great but the audio could be better. Other than the audio I have no complaints. There are several settings you can alter for when and how you want to view things. You can even get email updates when there is movement in your home (if you set it up that way), which is great for when I'm out of town. Definitely a great product and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a security camera.
