The Arlo Q is a great start to basic home security. It is easy to configure, connect, and can be mounted almost anywhere with its long AC cord. When Armed, it will send us texts when it detects sound or motion, both which can be customized. Our cat doesn't set it off, but the phone does. I love the emails since they include a 15 second video of the event. We have one, but I see us buying several more to monitor the house, kids, and animals.

Initially I tried to set up from my laptop but ended up setting up from my iPhone as it detected the Wi-Fi automatically. Was easy to set up and use from either laptop or phone.

I have one of these and one Nest indoor camera. They both work well - I find the features of the Nest software to slightly edge out the Arlo, but it's really a matter of preference and how you use it. The Arlo ability to draw trigger zones in the video capture is really nice. If anything, the Arlo almost has too many features in the software, and takes longer to set up, but for some users that might be preferable. Even though I slightly prefer the Nest, I do not regret this purchase at all, and still use it all the time.

Wanted to try out one home monitor camera before adding additional cameras. Best Buy matched another online price easily and quickly. Arlo was extremely easy to set up, took only 5 minutes. The Arlo Q model plugs in & does not need a base station. Video quality is much better than expected. I thought the field of view would be a bit wider but it works well with a bit of repositioning. Good product, will be buying a few more models.

I have too say the app is well polished, somewhat confusing on the different settings when intergrating with Samsung smart things. Nice video and pretty decent audio as well.

What an excellent product! Plug it in, aim it where you want to see and hear, and it is ready to go. After dealing with an unpleasant neighbor, I Purchased this Arlo camera to protect my property and provide a safe and secure record of events. Needless to,say, since the neighbor saw the Arlomcamera being installed, there have been no further incidents!

Purchased 5 Arlo Q cameras for my home last year. From the perspective of only using their free services, I'm able to connect 5 cameras to my account and view clips of 18 to 300 seconds that are triggered by motion and/or sound. In theory this is a great selling point for the brand because the amount of video recorded in 1080p (considering there is sufficient bright light on the scenery) is sufficient for the ordinary user who does not want to pay for CVR. But the downside is that the clips are not consistently recorded for the full 300 seconds or until activity actually stops. I get glitches and video clips cut short even though the movement or sound is still occurring. I have noticed skipped clips during a recording of a car break-in, which is a pivotal moment and sole reason why I purchased the system. Arlo could do better in their software and application integration with Android.

Easy to setup and use. Wish batteries lasted longer. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Otherwise perfect. I have 3 of them.

Love this camera. My mom has dementia and I needed a camera to watch her in the kitchen while I’m buzzing around the house or garden. Thoroughly easy to set up, app is fantastic. Cute little camera, works very very well. Excellent product. Belongs in the elite produced things - Apple phones, eero wifi system, Arlo cameras. Superbly made products.

I use my Arlo equipment in my summer cottage. It is my eyes away from home. It was easy to set up and works very well. I check in on the house daily. I am very satisfied because I did not have to install any wiring and the quality in both daylight and night time is great. I also have 2 outside wireless cameras pointing at the front and back doors.

Just bought this to go with my hue white bulb starter kit. The set up was a little harder than I imagined as the initial set up for the starter kit went smoothly. A update was needed for the new bulb and then I had to re enter and rename the older ones. Once set up the bulb works well, with a dazzling array of colors to choose from. I also,like that ther is a separate scene in the app to go from warm incandescent light to cooler tones. Overall a fun addition to my growing hue collection.

Easy to set up. And works great when it works. I've had to reset it twice in the first month. Maybe it's my internet, idk.

The NETGEAR - Arlo Q Wi-Fi HD Security Camera is the best camera I ever had. It works perfectly to monitor and the speaker allow you to communicate back and forth.

Needed a camera for my dog. This seemed very capable plus the fact it doesn't require a subscription for the recordings. The quality is great at 1080p. The image quality is very clear! The app is very simple to use and straightforward. No frills, it just works. The camera can be very sensitive so it's best to set up zones. Great entry model to the Arlo family.

I did the usual many hours of research before entering the smart home world. I came back over and over to Arlo for a few reasons. One it is made by a company Netgear that I've trusted for many years for computer components. The second is A totally wire free installation for a Camera I will put in my vacation home great room. I will put the Arlo Q camera on my garage wall so that I can see and speak to anybody that I let in for deliveries. I would use another device to open and close the garage door remotely. Got a great price at Best Buy.com and picked up in the store.

This Arlo HD camera was easy to install and the app made it easy to set up. You can choose times and even select areas for motion detection all on your phone. Picture quality is decent for this price point, but don't expect license plate reading or facial recognition at any distance! I was so happy with this camera the wireless Arlo cameras soon followed! Great compliment to my home security system.

The camera is easy to install and the software is easy to use on my iPhone and PC. The picture is clear and it is even useful indoors at night. It does become disconnected on occasion but that is most likely due to my internet service which goes out periodically. No complaints for the price. Cheaper than the Pro 2 and seems to work as well.

Took a while to figure out setup - it would not sync to my phone until I reset it twice. However, now that it's setup - the image is great. Wish they would fix geofencing so that it would work with multiple phones - currently doesn't work reliably on more than one phone.

I recently purchased and connected NETGEAR - Arlo Q Indoor 1080p HD Wi-Fi Security Camera (2-Pack) and signed up to receive emails for noise and movement as I am using it to watch over a dog who has seizures. The only problem with the notifications is I receive one email for every sound and movement so I had turn it off. I want to read further to see if I can change the settings to work for a certain period of time during the day.

This Arlo set up is a big upgrade from the Vuezone cameras. Great picture quality and the option to get some plug-in cameras for high use areas has been a big help. The battery operated cameras are still too much of a battery hog - i heard there are cameras out there with much longer batter life.
