High Quality Security
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the complete Arlo system and it works very well. The resolution is great and you can even see faces at night. My only complaint is that doorbell doesn’t have good network range.

4K video
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve used Arlo cameras for a couple years now. Was excited for the 4K option. Will not record to your standard cloud though which is very frustrating. You need a 4K memory card in the hub

Things you have to know.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first bought the Arlo, I got the Pro 3. I did not like the picture quality so I upgraded to the Ultra. Here are some of the things to avoid/know: 1. If you don't by the monthly service, then if you want to record the videos, you will need a microSD card. 2. 32GB is maximum you can use. Be sure to get one fast enough or you will have jerky video. I like the UHS-2 (V-30) or better. The UHS-3 (V90) is the fastest but are very hard to find. 3. They will record to the Cloud if you only have about 4 camera, after that you will have to go to the card. Again speed of the card is critical, so get a fast one.

Beautiful video!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased these for capturing hummingbirds and these cameras while expensive are well worth the price. The images are so clear and miles better than the Arlo Pro 2. We also purchased an Arlo Pro 3 to compare quality and that camera also has a great video quality at a lower price point, you can’t go wrong with either of these models. Keep your eye out for deals as we got the 4K at the Pro 3 price at Best Buy.

Good camera lousy battery life
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good display camera. Battery life stinks. If you don't have easy access to the cameras, buy the 25 foot charger cable. Even if you have easy access, have at least one extra battery always charged. Make sure you have strong wifi to all the camera locations or you will have constant issues.

I"m trying to love this...
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I"m trying to love this....because I don't see a lot of great alternatives in the marketplace. But it (and my pro2 cameras) have been soooo unreliable. Maybe cloud for security cameras just isn't ready for primetime. But the old school nvr's aren''t there from a feature standpoint either. List of issues: Motion detection unreliable (50/50 whether it detects or not - even with 100% sensitivity detection set to on). PAID options not doing the trick either. Activity zones - completely ignored (still detects vehicles outside the zone). Smart notifications - ignored (still get vehicle alerts even when vehicles are clearly turned off). So..on my suburban residential street - I see at least 3 to 4 cars per hour going up and down the road - with as many alerts. I know it is missing other alerts - because I point 2 cameras at the same place - 1 catches, the other doesn't And it's intermittent which is which. So catch 22. Can't lower sensitivity (missing alerts), increasing to 100% causes it to catch everything - and filters don't do anything to help. So - to top it all off - I figured if motion detection doesn't work I could at least use the PAID 24x7 CVR feature and record everything while reserving alerts to inward pointing cameras that don't see the vehicles - NOT. CVR completely stopped working after less than 24 hours. I've read the community forums and support sites. I've recycled, reset, removed batteries, removed - re-added. All these problems return and it is just inconsistent. After all this, I still don't want to return it - but based upon my read of the forums, these are not uncommon issues and tech support is a futile effort. But I don't want to live without the alerts.

So close
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When the camera detects motion the video is great. On the other hand it misses more then it records. I can’t recommend this as a good surveillance camera.

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If your going to go Arlo and want to get more than the pro 2 offers then this is the camera to get. Don’t waste your $$ with the 3, the ultra is a great DIY security camera.

Cameras will fail. Glacial support.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Ultra 4 camera system and an extra camera based on favorable reviews published online. My experience has been that these cameras will fail to charge or hold a charge after about a year. 1 of the original 4 in our system is in the process of being replaced (this camera would hold a charge for no longer than 4 hours), as we submitted a claim a few days prior to one year from purchase. Today we submitted a claim for the extra camera we purchased (the camera will no longer charge a battery when plugged into a charger). Given the high cost of these products (over $1,000 at the time of purchase) and a 40% failure rate within a year of purchase, I can’t recommend this product to anyone. While the warranty has or may cover the issues we’ve had so far, based on the performance so far we can assume that these will continue to fail, and as the 1 yr warranty has expired, we face the decision of purchasing more unreliable products to replace each expensive camera as it fails, or cut our losses and purchase an altogether different brand system. Customer support is extremely slow. The first claim took over a month before they decided to replace the camera, so if you do decide to take your chances with support for the first year, your equipment will spend a long time inoperable and useless to you. In summary, I believe that we’ve wasted over $1,000 on a very unreliable product.
