    Packaging is great and so is installation. Extremely easy and well documented. The firmware update is a little misleading and you have to wait for a while ( you really want to have your camera plugged in) but overall the experience was great. The video quality of the system is amazing and the different features it has with the Premium Cloud service is just outstanding. Not to mention the base also supports an SD card so you can record things in there as well. With that said, even though I do not mind the smartHub, I personally had some issues finding space on my router to plugged into a wired RJ45 jack. But that is just a personal issue and most people don't plug things any longer since most things are wireless. I would love to see the homekit upgrade become a reality, but besides that I can say this is my new camera of choice. I had two dropcams before and I am totally going to switch to these since the portability and wire-free option is just amazing for my use case. NOTICE: Arlo provided me with this product free of charge, but the content and my opinions expressed here are honest and based on my use of the product.

    Great Camera

    Almost all of the bugs that early purchasers posted have been fixed. I own two of these and I feel that all the new features make this camera superior to Arlo's previous cameras. Yes, you might encounter a small bug here and there, these bugs are being fixed very quickly. Recently the camera recorded a drunk walking down my driveway and I was able to view the person in full color.

    Will not honor warranty - Poor customer service

    I have five Arlo cameras under warranty. When I first set them up they all worked fine. After about 10 months two of them malfunctioned. I called the number on the Arlo web site for customer service many times in the past two months. I talked with Girish, Santhos, Soruban, Poornima, Kim, and this week Jean. Multiple times I provided serial numbers, pictures from the cameras, videos from the cameras, as well as going through the process of trouble shooting each camera by removing the batteries and synching the cameras repeatedly with the base. After the first call to customer service each individual asked for more information much of which was given in previous calls. Each time I am told that someone will contact me regarding replacing the two cameras but that never happens. I have spent hours on the phone with customer service trying to work with them, but I always wind up at a dead end. I tried to be patient and work with them to provide all the information as requested. I did provide everything they asked for. As I mentioned earlier each customer service representative asked for more information, some of which I had already given them. When I did provide them with all they requested they told me that someone will get back to me by email. That never happened. Then I would start all over again. After all of my effort to work with them I realized that Arlo was not going to honor the warranty on their equipment. I was wasting my time. No matter who I talked to, and no matter how much I worked with them to provide the information they asked for, I always would wind up back where I started. Hours and hours of wasted time getting the "run around". Finally it became obvious to me that Arlo was just not going to honor the warranty they gave me on their equipment no matter how many times I called and no matter how much information I gave them. If they would have been honest from the start and said that they were not going to honor their warranty at least I would have saved myself many aggravating hours on the phone. Regrettably I gave Arlo one star because there are no options for zero.

    Worst support system ever. I don’t live close to were the system is located and to get anything done or to talk to someone with having to pay for it is impossible! Worst buy ever! Not only do I not recommend it but I’d advise anyone to stay as far away as possible!
