Works well for the price. Easy to use and manage. Set up was smooth. Only hiccup is that the advertised app is out of date for Android. You have to get the new surfboard app.

Excellent product! Just had Xfinity internet connection. Will have a substantial savings by purchasing a modem/router vs renting the equipment thru Xfinity. Excellent customer service. Best buy salesperson was very knowledgeable on the unit. Very easy to install. Internet worked without any issues. At first, Xfinity wanted to send a technician to install the unit. The charge was $99. I insisted that was not necessary. Highly recommend.

Comcast allowed anyone with a family member's account to log on to my Comcast supplied gateway at my apartment. More and more neighbors would login, the speed plummeted, and changing my password couldn't prevent it. Restarting the gateway would get me back to full speed for a short time but it wouldn't last more than an hour. Now with this gateway I'm back up to full speed. Set up on my side was easy but it took Comcast a long time to get the settings correct on my account.

I love this router. It was perfect for my small apartment and easy to configure. The range and signal are strong. I used this with a new Comcast account and it works flawlessly. If you need a cable modem and router I would go with this model.

I purchased this a little over a year ago for my small apartment. It has enough range and power for several devices whether it’s WiFi or Ethernet. I do casually game and I have not experienced any issues, but I guess that also depends on how fast your internet plan and provider is. I just wish it had more Ethernet ports since one of them basically got fried after lightning struck near my home and the aftermath triggered a surge, rendering that port useless. I do use the other port without any issues but now I have no back up ports on the router. Overall great device for the price and you’ll definitely save on those terrible provided routers from internet companies!

Great price, works great with a fast and easy setup process......very consumer friendly. Also, easily controlled through their phone app. Works better than the comparable NETGEAR.

It's been a month since I purchased this modem/router and Ive not had any issues. I have a small home, one person primarily on the internet at any time, but I use my wifi for smart hubs for my Smart House (lights, locks, thermostat) plus streaming services on at least one device at a time. I have Xfinity, and I set up the modem/router myself when I got my start up kit from Xfinity in the mail. It was super easy! The guy at best buy said this device would have about a 2 year life due to it doing the two jobs in one device (apparently modem/router combos are bound to overheat eventually). So I guess I'm going to test that theory! The device itself was easy to operate, downloaded the SurfBoard app and can easy manage my 2.4 and 5 wifi options, renaming and making new passwords easily in the app.

I called Comcast to double-check this modem and model will work with Comcast. "Yes". Only concern is it new? They can't take a previous customer off that internet acct to activate modem without that user calling in and going through closing process. Buy New Only! Within 10 minutes it was going. Took rented modem into Comcast the next morning. They said call in (or Chat) to have the modem activated with specifics on the account. Did that through chat. It took 5 minutes and now on Xfinity acct can see the exact modem and you can do things with it through Xfinity.com. IT'S FASTER THAN THE RENTED MODEM I had from Xfinity! Update: It uses less 'data usage'!!!!!

Easy to set up once you read the instructions provided and use a bit of patience. Took me about 30-40 min to complete set up(open packaging and connecting to app and my Internet service). I like having the choice between 2.4 Ghz/5 Ghz network. Really did wish it had a power/restart button so when there are network connectivity issues a softer reboot may happen but overall it's a great product. Also more cost effective than renting a router and modem from your internet service provider. Less clutter buying a router-modem combo.

I was so pleased to find this product. My old modem/router died and I was able to get this overnight delivered. I needed something under $100, ASAP. This was easy to set up and the customer service is great, as they helped me to change the password to my network. I am not a gamer and dont have smart TVs in my home so this was perfect for my specific needs.

Bought this for my mom who had Comcast. If she were to rent theirs it would have been $15 a month. A little over 7 months and it pays for itself. So I purchased this. They added Comcast voice to her package deal as it’s cheaper but this does not support a phone jack. Still trying to figure out what to do with that. But she doesn’t use a home phone anyways. But the modem/router works well. Easily set it up to her computer. Got it all working. Got her tv connected and her phone to the WiFi. She was able to set it up to her Amazon fire stick snd she isn’t very savy with technology. So this was very easy to use.

I bought this router/modem because I didn't want to have to rent one from Xfinity on a month-to-month basis and I knew this would save me money over the course of a year. This router was easy to set up and has been working well, even with online classes! The only small hiccup was that the setup instructions included a step that required connecting your computer to the router with an ethernet cord. The router doesn't come with an ethernet cord and my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port, so I just skipped the ethernet cord and it worked fine! So, if you have Xfinity and are looking for a cheaper option than renting a router, this is a great option!

After deciding I no longer wanted to pay to rent modems, I purchased this modem. Set up was literally 10-15 minutes, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I am on Comcast's mid tier plan and have basic cable using the Xfinity app on my smart TV (instead of using a Comcast box, which means it is streaming). With up to 10 devices at a single time, I can say that there has been no appreciable difference in speed or bandwidth, even when streaming in 4k. I would highly recommend this product if you want to save money in the long run.

Works as well as Xfinity rental modem. There's usually no more than 5 devices connected at a time but there's really no delay and the range reaches out to my parking space on the street. I have no problems with keeping my device connected while in the backyard. This is a good product and super convenient having a router and modem in one.
