Easy set up. Worked well with no problems. Delivered speed as promised

I bought this modem mostly to get out from under Comcast's modem rental charge. It does work with my service, and it was easy to install. I've noticed a vast improvement in my internet speed with it. I had been using a Comcast-issued Arris CM820A before this that had quite a few miles under its belt, and now browsing on my computer/phone and streaming on my Roku are all much smoother, faster experiences (no more waiting for Netflix to buffer).

This modem is highly recommended in online reviews and is a step up from its sibling in that it is comparable with current and future formats for digital data. It was easy to setup, but did not immediately work. Comcast could not activate it by remote and a tech visit was required. Even after the tech visit I had to call Motorola support to get it working. The support technician was very nice and acknowledged that the modem "lock onto" the mac address of whatever it is plugged into first and it had to be reset and rebooted a couple times and then plugged into the router before it would recognize it and begin working. Otherwise it's a great modem and maintains consistent high speeds up and down. And it's much smaller than the Comcast modem.

Quick install, works with comcast. Cheaper then renting from cable company

I was renting a Comcast modem paying for 100mb download speed and only getting 15. With this modem, I now have a download speed of 90+ mbps. It was an affordable upgrade to say the least and one less thing to have to shell out to Comcast

There's no reason to rent a modem from your cable provider when you can own one that works much better. The setup for this modem was very easy and straightforward. I did have to call my cable and Internet provider to activate it though, so I'm assuming most people will have to do the same. The instructions were very clear, and I had no trouble at all.

Got tired of using my Comcast supplied Cisco modem. It was failing and costing me $7 a month. Bought a Cisco on ebay. It lasted two months and started to cut out. Did my homework and bought this Motorola unit at Best Buy. It's been about two months and it runs like a charm. It handles my 105 MB Comcast line perfectly and never drops (I've been monitoring it). Happy.

I bought this modem so that I could save money by not having to rent one from time warner cable and also because this modem is future proof with docsis 3.0. As the cable companies improve their network, I won't have to keep upgrading my modem. I had best buy price match amazon and got this for about $75. Super great price and no hassle price match from best buy. Gotta love it. The only downside to this modem besides being an ugly white color is that the lights are really bright. I have it in the hallway closet on my apartment and I can see the lights flashing and lighting up the entire hallway when the closet is slightly open. Not a deal breaker obviously.

Extremely satisfied with the performance thus far & having my own modem has saved me money by avoiding rental/lease fees from my internet provider. Modem is the choice of myself, my parents and my sister & have yet to be disappointed. It clocks in above what my provider says is the speed I am paying for. That's always nice!

Do yourself a favor and quit paying the ISP for their modem. This modem has given me faster internet speeds, and more reliable service than any ISP modem. If you pay your ISP for the privilege to use their equipment (like I used to do), stop it. This pays for itself in less than a year and you'll appreciate the better speed and reliability you get.

I had an older cable modem and did not realize what I was missing until I installed this! It is so much faster and could not be easier to install. Highly recommend the Motorola - SURFboard Docsis 3.0 High-Speed Cable Modem – Silver if you need to upgrade your old equipment.

Another great Motorola Arris product. Rated up to 360 Mb/s I have Comcast 150 Mb service and can get 150-170. The older modem that I replaced the 6121 usually only got about 135 Mb/s, even thought it is rated at 170 Mb/s . The only small thing I dont like are that the Blue lights are too bright.

1st let me state I was not in the market for a new modem....but when my cable provider gave me an upgrade I needed to upgrade my home network equipment so that I could maximize the speeds that were being offered! Happy I did...the Surfboard works great...and you can get a ROI in less than a year vs renting a modem from your internet provider.
