We always had trouble connecting TV in one room upstairs but now there's no problem what-so-ever. Unfortunately our Sony TV keeps forgetting about the wireless network after we switched to this one though. I think it's the TV, not the router, because everything else in our household has no problem remembering the network.

I like this router because it is a dual. It did speed up my access to the internet.

There are reviews for other Arris modem/router on both BestBuy & Amazon. SBG-7580 being so new in Jan 2017, does not have too many reviews specifically. As a modem.router, worked fine out of the box . It better since it is priced at 225. The router URL & the user guide had no mention of the USB port. I called the surfboard CSR & after a while they admitted that they don’t support USB. The CSR had no idea if they would provide a future firmware update to support USB. The default interface at the router url is okay. The range is not as strong as my previous router Netgear AC1900. But I bought this to future proof with a 1GB download speed plus modem/router, though now i only upgraded myself to 100 MBPS on comcast.

Bought this because our existing router is really weak, even a room away. This has fantastic range, and we've had absolutely no problems with it. And it gave us more ethernet ports, which we were really needing. All around a great wifi/router combo. We won't be needing a replacement for a long time!

This combo unit is fast as same as advertised. It is easy to use and setup.

This is definitely the best modem/ Wi-Fi combo. I thought my internet provider might be throttling my connection so I bought this modem and my internet performance has skyrocketted. It turns out the modem provided by the cable company was under utilizing the performance I was paying for.

no problems better than time warner and mediacom boxes save yourself the 10-15$ modem lease and just get this one because after having it for 1-2 years it will be worthwhile make sure to clean the insides every 6 months or else your product will overheat just a tip from an IT specialist

Do a Lot of Work from Home, running a Citrix Secure Platford. With Comcast Xnifinty Internet. Unit runs like a dream with both the 5G and the 2.5 settings. With over 10 devices with two people in a 975 SQ FT Apt, you cannot beat this router. Saves you 120.00 a year in rental fees

It works pefect. I am paying for 150 MB download speed but when I check speed test sites I get over 179 average. VERY Fast! WiFI is great too. 7 Devices connected at all times. Steaming and gaming constantly from the entire family it NEVER a slows down!
